Rise of the Rejected Deity from Chaos

Chapter 202: The Association vs The Demons and Monsters? [2]

The commander was struck speechless at this. He didn't know whether to laugh at Seiya's wicked words and actions or to be angry at it.

Even the demons and Humanity Saviors could only watch in silence, unsure what to make of this act of his.

With his head still sticking out the barrier, he continued calmly, clearly unbothered by their reaction and expressions. "What are you waiting for?" He asked. "Start the fight already."

"Hey Sei," the commander called softly, forcing a tense smile. "You might not know this but I'm a sick patient," he smiled wide, eyes squinting softly.

"I do not have enough strength to join in this fight, it spells immediate death for me. So, can you please let me in?" He asked softly, his tone gentle.

"That's the goal though," Seiya said, wiping the smile off the commander's face. "For you to die….all of you," Seiya clarified bluntly.

The commander and the Humanity Savior's faces all turned rigid with utter shock and disbelief. Seiya had just blatantly not only wished death upon them all, but also upon their leader.

By all rights, those words alone should warrant Seiya's death. But once again, the commander responded lightly like it wasn't anything serious which baffled the Humanity Saviors.

"Now, how can you say that?" The commander said, his tone a bit low as though hurt by Seiya's words. "You just wished death upon your father. What kind of a son does that?" He asked, his tone a bit dramatic as he squeezed his eyes shut in feigned pain.

Calling himself Seiya's father came as another shock to the Humanity Saviors who hadn't at all heard of the adoption plans. It briefly shifted their concerns from the issue at hand, to the shocking revelation the commander had just made known.

Seiya stared blankly at the man, his shamelessness baffling even to Seiya.

"If I die, you cannot obtain your ID card, you know?" He added, still feigning hurt by Seiya's words.

There was no lie in what the commander said. Obtaining the ID was really important to Seiya. It was the main reason he was taken to the association to begin with.

Seiya had simply been too irritated by all the occurrences that he just wished death upon them all.

"While that is true," Seiya began, gazing at the commander. "It's too late to bring you in now. The barrier is already erect, so you can't access it anymore."

The commander's face fell expressionless, as if struggling to fathom what kind of son fate had entrusted him to raise.

"The demons and monsters may seize the moment I lower the barrier to let you through," Seiya explained, "using it to flood in and endanger the villagers. I can't allow that."

Even though he didn't see them as much threat, it wasn't a lie that what he said might happen. It was better to be cautious than expend energy on unnecessary things.

To the commander, he said. "Good luck surviving out there." And to the others, he said. "Commence the fight."

But as he made to withdraw his head, he turned his gaze to Denga whose hand was extended toward him.

"Are you trying to call over my heart?" He asked, and Denga chuckled because Seiya was right on the mark.

"You can't. This barrier protects everything within it," he said, making him note that only his head was sticking out from the barrier.

"Well, thanks for the info," Denga smirked, and extended his hand once more.

"As if I'd let you," Seiya said and instantly withdrew his head.

"He's as quick as ever," Denga chuckled to himself. "But no matter—once we've dealt with these pests, he's bound to show himself."

The demons turned to the Humanity Saviors, their eyes gleaming with malicious intent, with mischievous, wide grins across their faces.

"Tear them apart," one of the demons commanded and the orcs that had merely been on standby since they flooded out of the gate started running rampant, unleashing attacks on the Humanity Saviors.

The Humanity Saviors had also been alert, already in their fighting stances. Five of them immediately darted to where the commander stood, covering him.

"We'll protect you, commander."

The captains present began barking orders, swiftly directing the Humanity Saviors into their designated attack and defense formations.

They each activated their abilities, those with weapons had their poised to strike. It was a clash between them and the monsters, the fight intense.

From the sidelines where the demons watched, their expressions that of bliss, noting their enjoyment of the battle—they taunted the association with their mocking laughs.

However, as the battle wore on, the Humanity Saviors having the upper hand, the demons decided to step in.

"It's getting less fun," Denga said, eyes scanning the monsters that had been cut down by the Humanity Saviors.

Though the monsters were neither weak nor low-grade, the Humanity Saviors held the advantage because the ones who had tagged along with the commander were all of considerable ranks and skills.

With his grin never wavering, Denga stretched out both arms toward the Humanity Saviors, his already mischievous grin stretching wider as he spoke softly. "Come."

Before any of them could fully register Denga's words, their weapons wrenched free from their hands, drawn toward Denga as if pulled by an overwhelming magnetic force.

Upon reaching him, the weapons hovered in the air, forming a deadly array at his sides—their tips aimed menacingly at the Humanity Saviors.

Those who had come armed now stood barehanded, stripped of their weapons in an instant.

"This just made it more interesting, no?" Denga taunted, the weapons he seized from them poised to strike them at any moment of his command.

"I see, his ability is the kind that steals away ownership," the Humanity Saviors observed.

Calm, they went into formation, those who didn't rely on weapons from the beginning handling the incoming attacks from the orcs.

Even with their weapons stolen, they stood strong against the demons—after all, they were all Awakeners and didn't necessarily have to rely on weapons.

Witnessing the turn of events, Denga and the other demons grew visibly displeased. Their plans weren't unraveling accordingly, and it was clear—so they needed to stir things up.

"I'll spice things up," Denga's voice cut through the clashing violence that ensued between the monsters and the Humanity Saviors.

"Just a little," he added with a wry smile.

With both hands extended forward once again, he called, "come."

The Humanity Saviors stood in stunned confusion, uncertain what more Denga could possibly strip from them now that their weapons were gone. But nothing could have prepared them for the horror that followed.

In an instant, three Humanity Saviors' arms were violently torn from their shoulders, flying through the air toward Denga as blood burst, and sprayed about in gruesome motion.

The commander and his soldiers stared in silent shock, their eyes wide with a terror no words could capture—the true gravity of their predicament only now dawning on them.
