Rising Of The F-Class Hero

I was just an F-Class hero.

A nobody. Weak. Barely able to pass the easiest tests. My only real skill was running away. I thought my life would always be like that, hiding, surviving, failing over and over.

If only I hadn't accepted that weird request from the System… If I had just ignored it, maybe I wouldn't be in this mess. Maybe I'd still be struggling with goblins, failing potential evaluations, and just scraping by.

But no.

Now, I was being hunted. And for what? Some insane mission forcing me to kill an SSS-Class Monster?

"What kind of sick joke is this?!" I shouted as I ran for my life.

The city ruins stretched around me, broken streets, collapsed buildings, smoke rising from distant fires. I weaved through debris, my breath coming in ragged gasps. My heart pounded so loud I could barely hear the heavy footsteps chasing me.

I was fast. I had to be. Running was the only thing I was good at. But even I knew I couldn't keep this up forever. Whatever was behind me was faster, stronger, and didn't seem to get tired.

And all of this started because of him, the dying man who appeared in front of me out of nowhere.

I remembered it so clearly. Blood poured from his body, his breathing weak. He looked like he had fought something far beyond his limits. His trembling fingers grabbed my arm, his grip tight despite his injuries.

His eyes, filled with desperation, locked onto mine. "Please…" he rasped. "Succeed… where I failed…"

And then, before I could even react, a glowing notification filled my vision.

[Special Quest Available: Accept the Final Request?]

I didn't think. I didn't ask questions. Maybe I was too shocked. Maybe I felt bad for the guy. Maybe I was just an idiot.

Because the moment I pressed Yes, everything changed.

A powerful energy surged through my body, and the dying man collapsed. Then, before my eyes, he vanished, his body breaking into tiny golden particles, as if he had never been there at all.

And the System spoke again.

Before I could even process what was happening, the world around me shattered. Light engulfed me, and in the next instant, I was somewhere else.

When my vision cleared, I found myself standing in a world unlike my own. A world of endless darkness, towering castles, and skies filled with crimson fire. The land was broken, twisted by war and destruction. The air smelled of blood and smoke.

The System had transported me to another world, the world of the dying man. A world that had already been conquered by the demons of the Abyss Towers.

That's when the nightmare truly began.

A deafening roar shook the air, making my entire body freeze for a moment. Then I heard it, the sound of something massive moving in the distance. I turned my head and saw it.

A shadow. A monster. A nightmare.

Glowing red eyes pierced through the darkness. The ground cracked beneath its enormous claws. Its body was covered in dark, shifting armor, and its presence alone sent shivers down my spine.

The Demonborn had found me.

And now, I was running for my life.

"Why me?!" I shouted, dodging past broken walls and barely avoiding getting crushed by falling debris. "I'm an F-Class! What the hell am I supposed to do against that?!"

The monster didn't care. It let out another roar and lunged forward, closing the distance between us in an instant. My instincts screamed at me.

Move! Move!

I barely managed to throw myself to the side as a massive claw slammed into the ground where I had been a second ago. The impact sent shockwaves through the air, throwing chunks of stone and dirt in every direction. My ears rang from the sound.

This wasn't a fight. This was a slaughter.

I scrambled to my feet and ran even faster, pushing my body past its limits. My legs burned. My lungs ached. But I refused to stop.

I didn't know where I was going. I didn't have a plan. All I knew was that if I stopped running, I was dead.

And just like that, my life changed forever.
