Chapter 42: Chapter 42:- Mission 2 Begins
(A/N:- Since I want to emphasize on details of relationship building, and try to add more depth to the character I'll post longer chapters where word count would reach till 3000 words…so that the story can get detailed as well as it doesn't seem like it's getting stretched unnecessarily...do let me know your thoughts on it.)
The restaurant was cozy and dimly lit, the soft glow of lanterns creating an intimate atmosphere. Esther and I arrived early, holding hands as we were guided to our table.
Esther wore a stunning emerald-green satin dress that shimmered softly under the warm light of the restaurant.
The dress was an elegant, sleeveless design with a plunging V-neckline that showcased her graceful collarbones and a delicate gold necklace resting just above her chest.
The fabric hugged her curves in all the right places, accentuating her hourglass figure with a fitted bodice that highlighted her slender waist.
The dress flowed seamlessly into a slightly flared skirt that fell to just above her knees, swaying gently with every step she took.
A thigh-high slit on one side revealed a glimpse of her toned leg, adding a subtle touch of allure without being overly revealing.
The back of the dress dipped slightly, exposing the smooth curve of her shoulder blades and the top of her spine.
She paired the dress with strappy gold heels that complemented the necklace and added a touch of elegance to her overall look.
Her long hair was styled in loose waves that framed her face beautifully, and her soft makeup—featuring a hint of blush and a nude lip—gave her an effortlessly radiant appearance.
As she walked beside me, her beauty and grace turned heads, and I couldn't help but feel a swell of pride.
Esther looked breathtaking, a vision of beauty that made it impossible for anyone not to notice her.
"Have I overdressed?" Esther asked, her voice tinged with concern as her eyes darted around the room.
"I can feel eyes on me everywhere, even though I have had eyes on me almost everytime I go out and that's why I made sure to cover myself properly—especially my breasts and hips—so I wouldn't stand out too much.
But it's my first time wearing such an extravagant dress, something I only wore when Arjun was with me, not after that, and the stares I feel today are more intense...more sexual especially on my chest."
She shifted uncomfortably, placing her purse over her deep cleavage as if to shield it from the unwanted attention it was receiving.
"Relax," I whispered, giving her hand a reassuring squeeze as we sat down. "You look absolutely stunning. And don't worry about the eyes on you. All they can do is look.
As long as I'm here with you, they can't do anything else. Trust me, they don't have the guts to even approach you. All they can do is stare, hoping for what they'll never have."
I leaned closer, tilting her chin gently so her eyes met mine, and then kissed her deeply. The kind of kiss that made time stop, filled with passion and a clear message to everyone watching.
As I pulled away, I stood, glancing around the room, meeting the gazes of those who couldn't keep their eyes off Esther. My voice was calm, but firm enough to echo across the room.
"If you make my girl uncomfortable with those dirty eyes of yours," I said, my arm protectively around her, "I promise you this—I'll make it my mission to steal every single woman in your life.
Your girlfriends, your wives, your crushes—no one will be off-limits. So think carefully. You've got a choice: keep your eyes in check, or deal with me."
The room fell silent, tension thick in the air, as I sat back down beside Esther, my hand never leaving hers.
"You just focus on getting your friends jealous of our relationship, I'll take care of the rest," I said softly, my voice just for her this time. She smiled, her cheeks flushing as she leaned into me.
Her cheeks turned a soft pink seeing him act protective for her, and she leaned closer. "I just want tonight to go smoothly.
They'll probably be nosy as always." saying that she gave me a soft kiss on the lips.
I chuckled. "That's fine. We'll give them plenty to talk about."
A few minutes later, Esther's five friends arrived. Linda, Karen, Sarah, Diane, and Susan walked in together, chatting and laughing like always.
They had the kind of energy that could brighten any room, and Esther stood up to greet them, smiling.
"Hey, girls!" Esther called out, waving them over.
"Esther!" Karen said excitedly, giving her a quick hug before the group's attention shifted instantly.
"Samuel!" Linda exclaimed, her eyes lighting up as she walked straight toward me.
Karen's jaw dropped slightly as she looked at me over. "Wow, Samuel, you look amazing! What is this outfit? You're absolutely killing it."
Sarah stepped closer, practically circling me. "Look at you! The suit fits perfectly. And is that cologne? You smell incredible."
Diane grinned, nudging Sarah. "Leave some space to breathe. Samuel, are you secretly a model? Because, seriously, this is unfair."
Susan smiled warmly. "You've grown up so well, Samuel. I mean, look at you! The sharp jawline, the perfect posture—Esther's so lucky."
The compliments came at me from all sides, their focus completely on me now totally ignoring the extravagant dress she was wearing or her looks.
They leaned in, asking about my clothes, touching my sleeves, and laughing at every small joke I made. It was as if Esther wasn't even there anymore.
Esther stood to the side, her smile fading as she crossed her arms. "Uh, hello? I'm still here, you know," she said loudly, but no one seemed to hear her.
Sarah brushed her hair back dramatically, looking up at me with a teasing smile. "If you're ever free, Samuel, I'd love to borrow you for a dinner party or something. My friends would die if they saw me with someone like you."
Karen laughed. "Oh, no. He's too good for your friends. Samuel, you'd be the perfect guest for my company's gala. Imagine how jealous everyone would be!"
That was the final straw for Esther. With an irritated huff, she stormed over, squeezed between the girls, and grabbed my hand.
"Okay, enough!" she snapped, glaring at her friends. "He's mine, not some prize to pass around."
Before anyone could react, she turned to me, pulled me into the chair, and sat firmly on my lap. Wrapping her arms around my neck, she kissed me passionately, right in front of everyone.
The room went silent for a moment as the girls stared, wide-eyed.
When Esther pulled back, she smirked and looked at her friends. "Yeah, that's right. He's mine. We've even had sex—not just once, but twice.
We went at it like animals, fucking like crazy the whole night. Now, he's not just my son, but my boyfriend too."
The room fell into stunned silence. The girls stared at Esther, their jaws practically hitting the floor.
Linda blinked first, her voice barely above a whisper. "Esther… you can't be serious."
Karen's hand flew to her mouth. "Oh my God. You really did that?"
Sarah's eyes were wide, darting between us. "I didn't think you'd ever be bold enough to do something like this."
Diane looked like she was trying to form a sentence but failing miserably. "You… and Samuel? Your son? You actually…?"
Susan finally managed to speak, her voice trembling with disbelief. "Esther, how—how did this even happen?"
As the initial shock began to settle, their curiosity quickly took over. They surrounded Esther, bombarding her with questions all at once.
"How did it even start?" Linda asked eagerly.
Karen leaned in, her voice hushed but filled with excitement. "Was it awkward? Or did it just… happen?"
Sarah's smirk returned. "And how was he? Like… in bed?"
Diane giggled nervously. "Esther, you have to tell us everything. Was it as crazy as you made it sound?"
Susan folded her arms, a teasing grin on her face. "And don't leave out any details. Is he as good as he looks? Actually… Can we borrow him for one night? Just to see how good he is?"
Esther's eyes narrowed, and she crossed her arms protectively. "Absolutely not! Samuel is mine, and I'm not sharing him with anyone. End of story."
"But, come on, Esther," Sarah whined. "We're your best friends! Just one night…"
"No!" Esther snapped, her tone final. She shifted on my lap, leaning into me possessively. "I don't care how curious you all are. He's mine, and that's it."
The girls exchanged glances, giggling nervously at Esther's sudden fierceness. Susan shook her head, laughing softly.
"Alright, alright. Message received. But, seriously, Esther… we still need the full story later."
Esther smirked, leaning back against me confidently. "We'll see. But for now, just remember—he's mine."
I couldn't help but chuckle at the chaos, tightening my arms around her. "Guess I'm off-limits, ladies."
"Don't worry darling, only time will tell if you are off limits or not." The group laughed, though their eyes still sparkled with curiosity, as the mood shifted back to a strange mix of amusement and disbelief.
The dinner began on a tense yet strangely playful note. After Esther's bold declaration and the girls' shocked reactions, everyone eventually settled into their seats.
Esther remained seated firmly on my lap, her hand around my neck, as the waiter brought menus and took drink orders.
He couldn't help but keep looking at Esther, who sat on my lap, her body relaxed yet undeniably stunning.
The emerald-green dress hugged her figure perfectly, drawing attention to her full, huge yet perfectly shaped breasts and the deep neckline that framed her cleavage.
Her slim waist accentuated her hourglass silhouette, and her toned thighs were partially revealed by the thigh-high slit, leaving her smooth, bare legs in view.
I couldn't help but notice the way the waiter's eyes kept wandering toward her. He was young, maybe in his early twenties, and his gaze lingered a little too long on Esther's chest every time he came to our table.
His hands trembled slightly as he poured our drinks, and he spilled a little wine on the tablecloth.
"Excuse me," I called out firmly, catching his attention. My tone was calm but carried a clear warning.
"Eyes up here. If you can't focus on your job without ogling my girlfriend, maybe you need to switch tables—or jobs."
The waiter froze, his face turning bright red. "I'm… I'm so sorry, sir," he stammered, quickly averting his gaze and fumbling with the wine bottle.
He hurried away, and I turned back to Esther, who had been watching the exchange silently, a small smile playing on her lips.
Esther leaned forward, resting her chin on her hand. "You handled that perfectly," she said softly, her eyes full of warmth and trust.
"I didn't even have to say anything. You always know how to protect me without making a scene." she said as she kissed me on my lips.
I shrugged, my hand tightened its grip around her waist, pulling her closer as her breasts pressed tightly against my chest.
"You shouldn't have to deal with creeps like that. As long as I'm here, no one gets to disrespect you—not even with their eyes."
Her friends, seated at the table, had been watching the interaction with growing interest and a tinge of envy.
Diane leaned over to Karen, whispering, "Did you see that? He shut that guy down without making Esther feel awkward at all. That's a real man right there."
Karen nodded, glancing at Esther, who sat radiating confidence and comfort. "And look at her.
She's not even worried about how she's dressed or the attention she's getting. She knows Samuel's got her back. Honestly, I wish I had someone who made me feel that safe."
Linda sighed, her gaze lingering on the way I held her waist tightly pulling her closer to me.
"It's impressive. Most guys either overreact or ignore things completely. But Samuel just handled it so perfectly.
No wonder Esther trusts him so much, and can still be happy even after being a widow, with Samuel by her side, protecting her, she doesn't need to worry about being without husband. If only my husband knew how to support me like that…"
Back to our side, Esther leaned back in her chair, her posture relaxed and confident as she enjoyed the evening without a care.
The emerald-green dress shifted slightly as she crossed her legs, revealing more of her smooth thighs. I noticed a few stares from other tables but ignored them, focusing solely on her.
"Do you think I'm being too bold tonight?" Esther asked softly, her eyes searching mine for reassurance.
I shook my head, offering her a warm smile. "Not at all. You're just being yourself, and that's perfect. Let them stare—it's the closest they'll ever get to you."
Esther smiled, a blush coloring her cheeks, and leaned forward slightly. "You always know just what to say," she said quietly, her trust in me evident in her eyes.
Her friends couldn't help but notice the ease with which Esther carried herself. Sarah leaned toward Susan, her voice barely above a whisper.
"I've never seen her this confident and carefree. It's like she knows Samuel will handle everything. Honestly, I'm kind of jealous."
Susan nodded, her gaze flicking between Esther and me. "The way he lets her be herself while still protecting her?
It's amazing. My husband would probably either tell me to cover up or ignore me completely if someone stared."
Diane sighed wistfully. "Same. If I wore a dress like that, all I'd get is some half-hearted compliment or a joke about how much attention I'm getting.
But Samuel just makes Esther feel like she's the only woman in the room."
Karen added, "It's not just how he handles the situation. It's the way he looks at her, like she's everything he's ever wanted. I don't think I've ever felt that in my marriage."
The women fell quiet for a moment, their thoughts trailing back to their own relationships, and the quiet comparisons they couldn't help but draw.
Esther's effortless confidence and my unwavering support left them wishing for a partner who could make them feel the same way.
"Man, I wish Samuel pampered me like that," was the only thought all of Esther's friends had at that time.
They decided to get over these thoughts and decided to take advantage of the situation presented to them.
They threw sly glances my way, openly admiring me, their curiosity and boldness growing as the evening progressed.
Of course they didn't outright comment on wanting someone like me, but on my looks and apparently.
"So, Samuel," Linda began, swirling her wine glass and leaning forward slightly, "What do you do to stay in such amazing shape? Seriously, your arms look like they were sculpted."
Karen smirked, resting her chin in her hand as she chimed in. "And your jawline… do you chisel it every morning? It's so sharp it could cut glass."
Esther frowned, her grip tightening on my neck. She opened her mouth to retort, but I gave her thigh a gentle pinch.
She froze, looking at me, and I shook my head slightly telling her not to retort. Reluctantly, she bit her lip and stayed silent, though her frustration was evident.
Sarah leaned closer, her voice teasing. "I bet you're just as disciplined in other areas, aren't you, Samuel? A man like you must be good at everything he does right?"
Diane giggled, twirling her hair. "Esther, you're so lucky. I mean, having someone like Samuel not only as your son but now as your… boyfriend as well? How does it feel to have the best of both worlds?"
Esther bristled but remained quiet, her cheeks flushed with a mix of irritation and embarrassment.
I gave her thigh another gentle squeeze, signaling her to let it go, and she reluctantly leaned back, urging me to pamper her.
Throughout the dinner, the girls grew bolder, their compliments turning into outright flirting.
"Samuel, you're like the perfect package," Susan said, smiling brightly. "Good looks, charm, and clearly… other talents. You're the kind of man every woman dreams of.
Why didn't you born as my son? I would have loved to cheat on my husband for you, and indulge in forbidden love with you."
Linda laughed softly, giving me a knowing look. "Esther must be spoiling you, right? Or is it the other way around?"
Karen tilted her head, her tone playful. "I mean, if she ever needs a break, I'd be more than happy to step in. Just saying."
Esther clenched her fists, her eyes darting between her friends and me. She looked like she was about to explode, but I gently squeezed her thigh again, this time a bit firmer. She let out a frustrated sigh, visibly holding herself back.
By the end of the dinner, the girls were practically glowing with confidence. They laughed and teased openly, their flirtation unrestrained, while Esther sat stiffly beside me, her lips pressed into a thin line.
