Chapter 128: Snow Fang Bear
With opportunities like this, Sara and the others can take advantage of killing maze monsters. The amount of EXP and TP they provide can help Sara, Karen, and Mona to level up a lot.
Arthur himself also wanted to level up, but it would be unethical for him, who was stronger than the three women, to be greedy and take the last hit of the monsters.
Arthur would only level up when the time came, considering the amount of EXP needed to level up was getting bigger.
Two Snow Fang Bear monsters roared loudly with both hands pounding the ground.
Arthur squinted at them. Although the two monsters' levels were not higher than the white scorpion, their attack abilities could be troublesome.
From the front, one of the two monsters jumped strongly with sharp claws stretching from its fingers. The monster's lunge was directed towards the 13th squad, so Arthur told them to take cover immediately.
Arthur moved as fast as a flash of purple light, arriving in front of the 13th squad and stretching both hands forward.
A purple shield wall was created and rubbed magic power with the monster until an explosion occurred which caused the monster to bounce far back. Arthur was not significantly affected at all.
[Damage -35000]
Sara saw and heard the explosion. She rushed forward and asked about Arthur's condition. Arthur smiled in reply; he felt alright with the explosion. Thalenia's basic buff would work to restore his HP and MP.
Although the monster had let go of its attack, it could not be denied that it had also taken damage from the magic energy blast. Mona stepped closer to Arthur and offered to heal him, but Arthur refused.

"You guys need to be prepared. I want you to get the last hit from those two monsters," Arthur replied, getting up while wiping the blood from the corner of his lips.
Karen agreed, as did Sara. But, it was different with Mona. Although her talent had an attack sub-talent, the attack power was weaker than Karen's or Sara's.
Mona conveyed her concerns to Arthur. Arthur nodded and listened. What Mona said was not entirely true.
"In that case, I'll help Mona get the last hit monster," Arthur replied.
"Karen, can you help Sara get the last hit monster?"
"Leave it to me, Arthur."
Mona still refused, saying her attack was terrible. However, Arthur explained that Mona could defeat the monster by relying on her beast servant. The woman had only realized it all along.
Karen and Sara lured one of the monsters away and went with them, while Arthur and Mona soon faced off against the remaining Snow Fang Bear monsters.
Arthur directed his purple magic manipulation forward, grabbing the monster's hands. Mona noticed this, she immediately used her sub-talent to attack the monster.
Tree trunks stuck out from the ground, traveling fast and firm toward the monster. Just as the tree roots tried to creep through the monster's legs, the tree roots suddenly froze fast and shattered instantly. That made Mona gasp.
The monster before them stomped the ground and swung its arms to the side. The purple magic shackles were broken and Arthur was pushed quite far away.
The monster's hand swing was accompanied by a horizontal scythe attack created by the combination of water and wind elements.
Arthur realized how dangerous the attack was. Arthur pulled Mona to stand behind his back, Arthur's hands pointed forward to block the ice scythe attack.

[You got three combos!]
Although it did take damage, it wasn't as much as getting hit with a defenseless attack. Arthur fell down with a heavy gasp, blood flowing from the corner of his lips once again.
He took an HP Potion level 4 and downed it without a second thought. The recovery system panel appeared right before Arthur.

Arthur smiled. His HP bar had turned yellow but had not yet reached the critical limit. However, if Arthur continued to waste this opportunity, he worried he would die soon.
"Prepare your beast servant, Mona!" said Arthur. Mona nodded in agreement.
The man began to focus on looking forward, his right hand again wiping the blood from the corner of his lips.
Now, there was no time to play around anymore. This could also be an experience for Mona so that she could be brave in the future.

Purple magic energy gathered properly and smoothly in Arthur's right hand. The man raised both hands up and seemed to be performing a demonstration of a knight wielding a sword.
Mona was startled with both eyes wide, not expecting that Arthur had another great ability. It boosted Mona's spirit to never let Arthur down.
From her forehead, Mona brought out her beast servant well. An ash eagle with a long blue tail flew proudly beside Mona, ready to take orders from her.
Arthur glanced back briefly, then smiled and nodded as he saw that Mona had begun to show her skills. Arthur said he would take most of the monster's HP, making it easy for Mona to defeat it crushingly.
"I understand."
The man immediately swung his purple-glowing greatsword forward. The sword's swing was held back as the monster managed to summon protective magic, but the magic shattered, and his body was severely impacted by the sword strike.

[HP: 25000/110000] [-85000]
The damage panel appeared and shocked Mona. She didn't expect Arthur to deal 85000 damage to a monster without using his ultimate sub talent. Mona became even more curious about Arthur's abilities.
Seeing a gap to attack, Mona pointed her hand forward as she commanded her ash eagle to attack the monster. The ash eagle understood Mona's order.
The eagle flew around the monster, slowly the whirlwind grew faster and faster, causing the monster to feel like its body was being torn apart.
In the end, the monster was defeated with considerable damage, leaving Mona in shock.

Mona checked her profile status panel. Unfortunately, she needed about 10000 more EXP to level up to 64. Arthur saw that and smiled while gently rubbing Mona's head.
"Take it easy. You'll level up in this raid."
"Thank you, Arthur."
