Chapter 133: Arthur and Tris Agreement

"They're from Sky Sword 10th?"

"How many months did it take them to reach this floor?

"I initially thought they were from the 14th floor."

Tris heard what some of the members were saying about the 13th squad. She asked them to be quiet while the 13th Squad captain explained how they got to the floor and how long it took them. Arthur wasn't going to explain everything; let Sara do it.

Sara explained that the 13th squad originally had six members, but three chose to return as they could not continue the mission. Arthur interrupted by calling the three losers.

The woman again explained the time they needed to at least get to the 15th floor. From the results of the time calculations made by Sara and the others, they could at least get to this floor in less than 2 months or about 50 days.

"50 days? Are they lying?

As Arthur expected, people didn't believe Sara's words as they didn't make sense. If they calculated carefully, they thought that the 13th Squad was doing a raid while challenging the floor boss every time they arrived on the floor.

To do so, they assumed at least two people from the squad had a CP over 150000 or one person had a CP over 200000. Still, not many adventurers could reach that point while still on the 15th floor.

"I'm not lying. We really went up the floors quickly."

"I understand, Captain Sara. Still, you and your squad members are not Andrew. In fact, as I remember, it took about 4 months for Andrew to arrive at the 15th floor back then," Tris explained, supporting her member's opinion.

"Moreover, his strength has increased at this time. If you want to talk while comparing yourself to Andrew, it's an insult," Tris retorted.

"I'm not lying! Why can't you believe us?" said Sara, trying to convince the people in the place.

Arthur patted Sara lightly on the shoulder, calming the woman down from the agitation in her heart and mind. He stepped closer to Sara and looked at the people who didn't believe Sara's words.

"It doesn't matter if you believe it or not. Our purpose here is to seek shelter until the raid opens again."

Arthur turned to the side, looking at Tris who stood tall with two male guards beside her.

"Will you allow it?" Arthur asked.

"I will allow you only if you manage to clear my members' doubts about you," Tris said.

"That's nonsense! We're already here, and the mandate letter is real. Why do you need more proof, you people?" snapped Arthur.

Tris squinted, her eyebrows knitted tightly with a clear frown on her forehead. Her right hand was seen tightly gripping her large longsword, surprisingly being thrown at Arthur.

Sara and the others gasped in shock, shouting for Arthur to be careful. Arthur smiled faintly as he raised a hand and blocked the huge sword with his purple magic shield.

"I hate your tone!" snapped Tris.

Arthur glanced to the side, at Tris' longsword, which was still clashing in magic with Arthur's purple shield.

Arthur snapped his fingers, his magic turning the huge sword into tiny dust particles that flew into the sky, shattering into nothing.

"M-My sword?" gasped Tris.

"Such a cheap sword is not enough to kill me, Captain Tris."

All the members of the 15th Sky Sword could not hide their shock. The powerful and large sword that Captain Tris had always relied on turned to dust with the power of Arthur's finger flick.

They began to change their expressions to anger, rage, and curiosity. They were outraged that Arthur had humiliated Captain Tris. They were curious that Arthur could easily destroy the great sword.

"I warn you all! We have come to ask you for protection. We are the Sky Sword. We must help each other!" Arthur said.

"If you don't want to help, that's fine. We understand. Just don't expect us to help you when the Night Liberators raid this place!" said Arthur, obviously throwing a threat to Tris and the rest of the 15th Sky Sword.

Tris paused for a moment, the two bodyguards on her right and left already giving her advice. Some of the Squad leaders also made suggestions by rejecting their presence. They thought Arthur could be a threat to the base.

But, Tris also thought of something else that suddenly popped into her head. Right now, defending the base was impossible, especially since Arthur had destroyed her greatsword.

Relying on its members might be possible, but the probability was low. Arthur's purple magic was stronger than anything Tris had ever seen. There was an idea to use Arthur's power to attack the town instead of defending the base.

"Shut up, everyone!" said Tris, making all the voices fade and disappear, everyone's attention focused on Tris alone.

"I, Tris, will allow the 13th Squad to stay in this place under one important condition!" Tris said, raising one finger up. Experience more content on My Virtual Library Empire

The muscular woman pointed forward, precisely to Arthur, who stood before Sara. Arthur had expected it; showing his power to people would make them think of other plans to use his power.

And that's not good, truly not good!

"You must help me destroy Night Liberators Town!"

'Ah, damn! Here we go again.'

"Destroying a town controlled by a group of talented mages cannot be done in one day. I get it. That's why I have a special mission for you!" said Tris, still pointing firmly at Arthur.

"You sneak into that town and kill Salsabilla, Captain of the 15th Night Liberators. Bring her to me dead or alive, and I'll guarantee the safety of the 13th Squad while they're here."

'Killing the leader of a group to get them to surrender? That's clever, or perhaps cunning?' Arthur complained.

"Do we have terms?" asked Tris, confirming.

Arthur was silent as if his mouth was glued shut. He glanced to the side and saw Sara and the others. Sara made a gesture of shaking her head, a sign that she didn't like the idea.

It was too late for Sara to respond to this. If Arthur refused, Tris would likely have her members arrest Arthur and make him agree. The 13th Squad should have left earlier when Tris rejected the stay proposal.

'She actually gave me that option after the argument earlier,' Arthur replied.

"Alright. I will bring Salsabila to this place alive. However, I will destroy this place if I see any scratches on the 13th Squad members' bodies due to your actions."

"Do you understand?"

Arthur unhesitatingly showed his Flag of Authority, clutched in his left hand so tightly that people were shocked. They wondered why Arthur had the Flag of Authority? Who did he take it from?

'The Flag of Authority? He's not a random guy. It's best not to upset him,' said Tris.

Tris stepped closer to Arthur and stood directly before him. He reached out to ask the man to shake hands, a sign of the agreement between them.

Arthur and Tris shook hands. The deal had been sealed with many people watching.

"Don't let me down, sir!"
