Ruler's Awakening: Inheritor of the SSS-Rank Dimensional Talent

Chapter 326: Alana Journal Book

"Tell me, what really happened to Alana?" Aaron asked.

Although Aaron came to help the Hutch family, there was no sign of enthusiasm shown by the man in front of Aaron.

In fact, he was reluctant to tell Aaron any information. That was because Aaron was not a policeman and they were afraid that Aaron was a member of the Golden Cross.

"I won't tell anything about him except to the police!" said the man, still busy chopping wood for his winter supplies.

Aaron was silent. He saw many logs that the man had yet to finish. If he was too preoccupied with it, then Aaron wouldn't get any information.

He stretched his hand forward, directing his magic to help the man. In an instant, dozens of wooden blocks were precisely cut using magic, enough to startle the middle-aged man.

He was so shocked that he stopped his activities, turning to Aaron with a curious look. The middle-aged man felt certain that Aaron was no ordinary person.

"Do you know the consequences of seeking information about the Golden Cross?" asked the man, Aaron cleared his throat in agreement.

"I know and I'm sure, they can't kill me."

The look of confidence on Aaron's face was clear, making the man feel dilemmatic. He was afraid that the man would become the Golden Cross' next victim, but he also wanted to find Alana's whereabouts as soon as possible.

Apparently, he could only bet entirely on Aaron.

"It's fine if you insist. However, I will not be responsible for your life."

"My life is my responsibility," Aaron explained.

The two stepped into the wooden house, filled with simple furniture and memorable photos of Alana. He explained that Alana was his sister.

"She disappeared after work. I didn't know what caused it until I looked in her room and her notebook," the man explained, stepping towards Alana's room.

When the door opened, Aaron clearly saw the investigation notes plastered on the wall. Aaron was able to get a lot of information thanks to the results of Alana's investigation. It aroused Aaron's curiosity about Alana's work.

"What exactly does Alana do?" Aaron asked.

"She's a private detective. She works for people who pay for her services," the man replied.

"However, for this case, she did it voluntarily based on her concern of seeing many people disappear and not be found."

Aaron nodded. He was standing right in front of a large board filled with newspapers, news, and photos of people that were connected to each other, as if they were related.

The middle-aged man took Alana's notebook that was stored in the nightstand drawer, then handed it to Aaron. Aaron opened the book and looked at the contents, it was Alana's investigation journal.

"I'm not too familiar with her work, but I can confirm that she recorded everything in that book."

"Has anyone mysterious ever come to your house?" Aaron asked.

"There was!"

"A man in a long black robe like a mage. He threatened me not to make the same mistake as Alana."

"When I was about to fight him, I had no ability that could match him."

Aaron nodded. For a civilian without magic like that man, it was impossible for him to win against a magic group like the Golden Cross. He had only one choice, to obey what the man said.

"Alright. I'll take this book and study it thoroughly," Aaron explained.

"Then, what should I do?" asked the man, agitated.

"Stop finding out about Alana. Let me handle this matter," Aaron replied, the man nodding.

When the two stepped outside the house, Aaron's steps stopped when his eyes focused forward, watching five mysterious people come to the front of the house. All five were wearing black robes exactly like what the man had described.

"Well, I didn't expect to see you guys so soon," Aaron explained.

"Stop finding out about the Golden Cross if you don't want to die!" said one of the five mysterious people in black robes.

"Is Alana dead?" asked Aaron.

"All those we kidnapped have been confirmed dead!" he said again, firmly without hesitation.

The middle-aged man looked shocked, his face reddened not by the heat of the summer breeze, but by his mounting anger.

He dashed forward with a wooden axe in his hand, eager to avenge his brother's death. Aaron tried to stop her, telling her that she wouldn't win against them.

Sure enough! The middle-aged man was hit by a magic sword attack that pierced and rained down on his body. The man died instantly right beside Aaron, Aaron could read the strength of the five mages in front of him.

"Only Great Wizard level mages, but you guys are so arrogant as to take the lives of others!" said Aaron.

"He's guilty of helping you. Now, you too will die at our hands!" they snapped.

Just before they finished reciting his magic spell, Aaron moved quickly forward right between them. Aaron's high speed made them shocked and difficult to dodge.

'So fast!" said one of them.

"You guys still don't deserve to fight me!" said Aaron.

Aaron swung his hand forward to defeat them. With ease, the bodies of the five mages shattered under Aaron's pressure and magic attacks. The power gap between the Great Wizard and the Integrity Knight was huge.

"AAAKKKH!"

"Who... are you?" asked one of them.

"I'm Aaron. I will destroy the Golden Cross!"

They lay dead with their bodies torn apart, blood pooling right on the grass, making them die instantly. Aaron took a deep breath, he failed to get a single Golden Cross member to interrogate.

"It seems I should focus on Alana's notebook. In there, that woman probably recorded some important things about the Golden Cross," Aaron explained.

With his business done in Glasgow, Aaron flew away from the city and headed south, back to the city of London. He had no home or safe place, but since the London magic academy had been shielded, the best option for him to rest was there.

Or the Dark Dimension.

Arriving in London, Aaron arrived in front of the London Magic Academy and looked clearly ahead where the night atmosphere of the place was eerily quiet. People had gone back to their homes, leaving Aaron alone.

Aaron flew up and opened the window of Jackson's study. He rested there while opening sheet after sheet of Alana's journal.

There was some new information he had gotten, but he needed to confirm it. For now, Aaron would stick to the information in the book.

"The Golden Cross has been after me. It will be dangerous if I drag a lot of people into this."

"I'd better start hiding and do it in secret from now on."
