Chapter 543: Thanks
"I'm done with my battle," Peter replied calmly and them stretched his hand. "Let me borrow a place to take a bath."
Even if the clothes would not tear apart when he became bigger, but it didn't have the automatic cleaning function. The reason was that the materials that Peter picked up couldn't afford to have such heavy modification made.
For this matter, Peter himself was helpless.
In the end, he had no other choice but to make a few sets of clothes so that he could have them washed. If only the clothes had automatic cleaning runes drawn in, then he didn't have to worry so much about this matter.
Unfortunately, this was nothing more than a pipe dream.
"You're really dirty." Dina looked at Peter in disgust. She took a step back and then pointed in one direction. "The guest houses are there. Just pick one as you like. There will be someone over there recording the house you pick so that others could not enter."
"Thanks."
Dina snorted and stopped paying attention to Peter.
She still has to lead the soldiers to clean up the magic beasts.
"After you're done, come to my place to discuss something."
"Ah, your house?"
"My office." Dina gritted her teeth. She would never ever invite this b*stard to her house.
"Alright."
…
Each of them went to rest on their own and after they cleaned up, Samuel went back to the platform. Even though the platform was made for the magicians from the Magic Association, it was really convenient.
By standing on this platform, they would be able to see far away.
"Sam, Dina is asking us to gather."
"Is she willing to say why the magic beasts gather in City J Base?" Samuel asked without turning around.
Peter was stunned. "Why do you think she knew?"
"Because the magic beasts' movements are not natural and there had to be something that attracted them to this place." Samuel passed a look at Peter. "You should know that magic beasts' tide didn't happen for no reason and aside from the migration that occurred from time to time in some routes, it would only happen when there's something that either provoke them or control them."
Peter was silent and then said, "I don't think Dina did it on purpose."
"Whether she did it on purpose or not, I believe that the people who suffered because of her should be the one to decide." Samuel looked down at the people below. "Besides, I believe that there are a lot of people who have passed away because of the beasts' tide."
That's true.
The soldiers might be using the machine guns and other weapons to keep the magic beasts far away. But it would not last long and when these magic beasts came closer, they could only fight with their life on the line to protect City J Base.
And that was the reason why there were casualties in the end.
Peter sighed and didn't say anything else.
He looked at the distance and asked, "Are you waiting for her?"
To be honest, Peter was confused when he saw the number of magic beasts decreasing so quickly. Because from what he remembered, the magic beasts seemed to be large in number and they kept on coming and coming towards City J Base.
But now, they seemed as if they had been cut by something.
It was then Peter remembered that he didn't see Riya at all when they came to City J Base.
So the only thing that Peter could do was to make sure that she was really not there. Because this meant that she should have set up formation to block these magic beasts from coming to City J Base.
"She's fighting out there… so I want to wait for her," Samuel replied calmly.
Peter pursed his lips and didn't say anything about it. He only pointed to the back. "Come on, shall we listen to what she has to say?"
"Ok."
Samuel sighed and followed Peter to Dina's office.
It could be said that after only a short period of time in this base, Peter was already familiar with the layout of City J Base.
Even Samuel was amazed by Peter's active behavior.
As they got closer to the office, they heard something breaking.
Prang!
"Calm down…"
"Do you think that I can calm down?" Ruth's voice came out from the office.
The people outside heard Ruth's cold tone and paused on their steps for a moment before opening the door to come in.
Inside the office room, they saw that Ruth was standing with Dina in front of her. The two of them seemed to be in a middle of a fight. There was also the commander from the military staying there, trying to stop these two people from fighting.
"What happened?"
"Nothing much but Dina saying that she took the golem infant out for her project, so those magic beasts are attracted to this base," Ruth replied calmly. She looked at Dina, who has indifferent expression. "Moreover, I'm sure that you took that special magic core from the formation inside and aroused the magic beasts."
Special magic core…
Samuel was not surprised about the special magic core thing. Since he and Riya could find those in the crack below their area, there should be more in other places.
Now, it was clear that there were also a few of them in this place.
As for the golem infant….
"You dare to provoke the entire golem's tribe?" Samuel asked, his tone contained disbelief and also faint anger.
Because Samuel knew very well that the existence of the golem infant meant that they will definitely have to fight with more Giant Rock Golems tomorrow.
The Giant Rock Golems was known for their protective nature towards their younger generation. So attracted the hatred of one Giant Rock Golem meant that they were attracted the hatred of the entire Giant Rock Golems's tribe.
They didn't even know how many Giant Rock Golems would there be in the end.
