Runemaster in the Last Days

Chapter 585: Plan (2)

"We do need to train and kill more magic beasts, but you don't want us to stay in City J Base because of Dina's presence, right?" Arnold interrupted from the side, guessing Samuel's purpose.

Even though they were friends, but they also have their own lives and it was impossible for Samuel to take care of them forever.

"Is she really that powerful?" Ruben asked another question that he had been wondering about.

Stephen chuckled. "I know that you're worried about us and we don't have any plan to stay here either, Samuel."

Amelia heard the others said this and immediately chirped in, "That's right, Brother, I'm no longer the weaklings that I used to be!"

She had already reached rank 4 and in fact, some of the others had also reached rank 4 while the rest were at the peak of rank 3. They only needed a chance to be able to reach rank 4 and none of them were willing to give up so easily.

Since they had decided to fight on the frontline, then they had to make sure to follow this path to the very end.

There was no way they would back down so easily.

"If you want to find a place to practice, I suggest you head to city I base not far from here," Riya said calmly. "There's a crack not far from City I Base, but not many magic beasts head there as compared to City J Base."

After running around to arrange formation on top of the cracks, Riya definitely remembered the location of the city bases.

"Dina's influence in City I Base should be negligible, right?" Sophia continued what Riya didn't say.

Riya looked at Sophia and smiled. "And I think that you will have a good time there."

The Carson Family has always wanted to take advantage of Sophia and Stephen. To be exact, he was trying hard to control these two people, making it difficult for them to do everything they wanted and had to think of their actions that would benefit the Carson Family behind them.

Sophia was more willing to listen to their words.

But how could Stephen be willing?

She had seen his eyes and how much he wanted to get away from the Carson Family, but he didn't have the ability to do so. For his sister, he might be willing to do anything.

"Then we'll go there." Amelia turned to look at Samuel.

Sean looked at these people and shrugged. "I don't really mind but I personally want to go back to City A Base."

After being brutally trained and saw the situation in City J Base, Sean was actually thinking about the base more. He knew very well that he was not suitable for training or anything like that.

Moreover, Samuel had to work hard to gather training resources for both him and his sister, which was definitely not cheap.

How many people could eat the meat of rank 6 magic beasts' almost every single day?

Sometimes, there was even rank 7 magic beasts' meat mixed in.

Sean didn't know how much his brother had to pay to be able to get these things on their table. Besides, while he liked the excitement of fighting with these magic beasts, he knew that he was not really suitable for this kind of profession.

So Sean was thinking of finding a balance between the two.

Among their group, he was undoubtedly the weakest one and Sean felt that he should just be a half magic warrior and half assistant of City A Base.

Samuel looked at Sean and said, "After you reach rank 5, I'll let you go back."

Rank 5?

Sean looked at Samuel in disbelief. "Brother! It's impossible for me to reach rank 5 anytime soon."

After reaching rank 4, they all had experienced what it felt to have their training stagnated. Even if there was little progress in their training, they knew very well that to reach rank 5 would take a long time no matter how talented they were.

"Don't think too much and just focus on your training," Samuel said calmly as he ruffled Sean's hair. He turned to look at Peter and took out a space storage scroll before tossing it to him. "I'll give you a commission to take this group to City I Base."

Peter smirked. "Sure."

Rather than trusting Peter, it would be better to make this matter a transaction one. In this way, both sides would feel relieved.

Samuel would not think of owing Peter.

And Peter would not think that he was doing a thankless thing.

"Are you two going to stay in the crack for months again?" Amelia asked with a strange look. "I don't understand what's so interesting about the crack that you're willing to live there for a long period of time."

"The crack is like a completely different world." Riya laughed and said, "And the most important thing is that there are a large amount of resources there."

Just from this magic beasts' tide alone, Riya had obtained a large amount of resources.

Thinking about her world that had gained a large amount of mana, Riya felt really happy. If this continued, she had the feeling that she would be able to make a lot of mana stones that was crucial for her training and formation making in the future.

Of course, Riya had no intention of explaining everything clearly to others.

"I know about the resources." Sophia looked outside. "And there are also a lot of resources here."

"Aside from the rank 7 magic beasts' corpses that I'll take back, I'll leave the rest for City J Base," Samuel said calmly.

The lower ranked magic beasts were not that attractive to him. Moreover, the formation that Riya made had already consumed a lot of magic beasts' corpses that was previously stacked outside.

The rest were not worth much.

"I see." Peter nodded and then asked, "Should I depart soon and when are you going to leave?"
