RWBY: Oscar the gamer

Chapter 34: To get destroyed

Glynda fixed hee glasses as she spoke. "Now who would like to go Next".

Cardin rased his hands as he looked at Oscar. "I would like to go next, as for who I would like to fight". He them pointed at Oscar. "Mr prodigy".

Oscar got up‌, as went on his bag, making it look like he pulled out Midnight Fang and Crimson trigger out of his back and not his inventory. "Alright then, hope you like getting destroyed"

As they were in the battle field, both of there Aura flaired as Cardin them moved for tr attack, as he came face to face to Oscar, as Oscar hit the wall.

Cardin laughed and looked a Oscar. "That is it prodi-".

Cardin was cut of as his head hit the ground he was kicked in the back of hi head, as Oscar was standing there. "I let you hit".

Oscar just looked at Cardin, if he was in a Dungeon Cardin would be a c rank beats at beast, as someone who had taken done a S rank beast a few days again, this was noting more them child trying to attack as Adults, will nobody but Oscar knew he has defeated a S rank boss but still it was something to see, as Oscar saw Cardin getting up, even do in the screen or showed Cardin Aura was done to 60%

Oscar looked at Cardin as he spoke in a mocking voice. "Come on littler Cardinal bird fight me". As he looked at him and continued. "Why don't you show me who is stronger".

Cardin growled, his face red with anger as he picked up his mace, his grip tightening. "You're going to regret that, farm boy!"

Oscar smirked, spinning Midnight Fang in one hand and holding Crimson Trigger ready in the other. "You talk a big game, but can you actually back it up?"

Cardin charged at Oscar again, swinging his mace with all his strength. Oscar sidestepped effortlessly, using Midnight Fang to deflect the blow, and retaliated with a quick slash to Cardin's side. The hit landed cleanly, reducing Cardin's aura further.

Glynda observed from the sidelines, her expression calm but analytical. "Oscar has the upper hand in terms of speed and technique," she noted to herself. "Cardin is relying too much on brute force."

Cardin roared in frustration, his swings becoming more erratic. Oscar dodged each one with ease, countering with precise strikes that chipped away at Cardin's aura. "You might want to slow down," Oscar teased. "You're going to tire yourself out before you even land another hit."

The other students watched in awe, some even whispering among themselves.

"He's totally outclassing Cardin," Jaune murmured, impressed.

"Of course," Weiss said with a small smile. "Oscar's technique is far more refined. Cardin doesn't stand a chance."

Ruby leaned forward, her eyes sparkling. "Go, Oscar! Show him what you've got!"

Back in the ring, Cardin, now down to less than 20% of his aura, let out a desperate yell and swung his mace in a wide arc. Oscar ducked under it and used Crimson Trigger to fire a non-lethal Dust round at Cardin's feet, causing him to stumble.

Before Cardin could recover, Oscar moved in, using Midnight Fang to sweep Cardin's legs out from under him. Cardin fell to the ground with a heavy thud, and Oscar aimed Crimson Trigger at him.

"Checkmate," Oscar said confidently. The screen above displayed the outcome: Oscar Pine - Victory.

Glynda stepped forward, adjusting her glasses. "That will be enough. Excellent work, Oscar. Cardin, you need to work on your control and strategy. Brute strength alone will not win battles."

Cardin grumbled as he got up, glaring at Oscar. "This isn't over," he muttered before stomping back to his seat.

Oscar sheathed his weapons and walked off the field, a smug smile on his face. Ruby was the first to greet him, practically bouncing with excitement. "That was awesome, Oscar! You totally wiped the floor with him!"

"Thanks, Ruby," Oscar said, rubbing the back of his head. "It wasn't that hard. Cardin's moves are pretty predictable."

Weiss crossed her arms, nodding approvingly. "You handled yourself well. A clean victory is always impressive."

As Oscar sat down with his team, he couldn't help but glance at Cardin, who was sulking in his seat. "Hopefully he learned something," Oscar thought to himself.

Glynda's voice cut through the room again. "Now then, who's next?"

Weiss looked at Ruby as she spoke. "I will go next, as for who I pick, I Pick Ruby Rose".

Ruby just blinked as she looked at Weiss. "Wait why me".

Weiss got up as she looked at Ruby. "Because I wanna see how strong you are, Both you and Oscar have been brought to Beacon by recommendations, so let's see are you ready".

Ruby sigehd releasing there was no malice's behind does word's.

Ruby stood up, adjusting Crescent Rose on her back, her usual playful demeanor replaced with a focused expression. "Alright, Weiss. If you want to see what I've got, then let's do this!"

Weiss smirked slightly, flipping her ponytail. "Don't hold back. I want a proper fight."

The two walked to the center of the training room as their names appeared on the screen: Weiss Schnee vs. Ruby Rose.

Glynda raised her hand, signaling the start of the match. "Begin!"

Weiss immediately summoned a glyph beneath her feet, propelling herself forward at high speed. Her rapier, Myrtenaster, glinted as she lunged toward Ruby with precision. Ruby, quick on her feet, used Crescent Rose to block the strike, the clash of metal echoing through the room.

"Fast as ever, Weiss," Ruby said, spinning Crescent Rose to deflect another blow. "But I'm faster!"

Ruby activated her semblance, dashing around Weiss in a blur of rose petals. Weiss stayed calm, summoning a line of glyphs in midair to predict Ruby's movements. As Ruby appeared to strike from behind, Weiss spun and parried with perfect timing, forcing Ruby to retreat.

"Impressive reaction time," Ruby admitted, grinning. "But let's see how you handle this!"

Ruby transformed Crescent Rose into its sniper mode and fired several rounds infused with Dust, aiming to push Weiss back. Weiss dodged gracefully, using her glyphs to create platforms and reposition herself in the air. She countered by summoning a small knight-like glyph familiar, which charged at Ruby with a sword.

Ruby leaped over the familiar, firing another shot mid-air to destroy it. She landed gracefully and charged Weiss, using Crescent Rose's scythe form to swing in a wide arc. Weiss deflected the attack but was forced to take a step back.

"You've improved," Weiss admitted, summoning an ice glyph to freeze Ruby's path. "But I'm not done yet!"

Ruby slid on the ice, using it to her advantage to gain speed. She aimed a downward strike at Weiss, who countered with a glyph shield just in time. The force of the collision sent both of them skidding back.

The audience was on the edge of their seats, watching the evenly matched duel.

Yang whistled. "Go, Ruby! Show her what you've got!"

Blake nodded, a small smile on her face. "Weiss is keeping up, but Ruby's creativity is giving her an edge."

Oscar leaned forward, intrigued. "They're both amazing. I can't tell who's going to win."

Back in the fight, Weiss activated her semblance, creating a series of elemental glyphs. Fire, ice, and wind spiraled around her as she unleashed a flurry of attacks. Ruby dodged with expert precision, but Weiss's relentless assault began to wear her down.

Ruby planted Crescent Rose into the ground, using it as a pole to swing herself forward. She closed the distance and delivered a powerful slash, which Weiss narrowly avoided by summoning a barrier.

Both combatants were breathing heavily now, their auras visibly flickering.

"Let's finish this," Weiss said, preparing one final attack.

"Agreed," Ruby replied, gripping Crescent Rose tightly.

Weiss summoned a massive glyph beneath her, creating a storm of ice shards that shot toward Ruby. Ruby dashed forward, spinning Crescent Rose to deflect the shards. With a final burst of speed, she closed the gap and swung her scythe in a wide arc.

The clash of their weapons sent a shockwave through the room. When the dust settled, the aura meters displayed the result: Weiss Schnee - 5%, Ruby Rose - 7%.

Ruby stood, panting but smiling. "That was close!"

Weiss sheathed Myrtenaster, a small smile gracing her face. "Indeed. You've earned my respect, Ruby. Well done."

The room erupted into applause as the two returned to their seats. Glynda adjusted her glasses. "An excellent match. Both of you demonstrated exceptional skill and growth. Let this be an example for the rest of you."

Weiss looked at Ruby as they sat down. "You're stronger than I expected. But don't get cocky. You still have a lot to learn."

Ruby grinned. "I could say the same about you, Weiss. Let's do this again sometime!"

Weiss gave a small chuckle. "Maybe."

Glynda then fixed hee computer. "Will you look that, it seems there was a small glitch".

Everyone looked up, as then they saw it Weiss 5% then glitched to show an 10% and Ruby 7% stayed the same.

Glynda fixed her glasses in embracement. "Um will sorry about, this things bugs our once a week".

Weiss's eyes widened slightly, and she gave a victorious smirk, folding her arms. "Looks like I actually won, Ruby."

Ruby blinked at the screen and then groaned, slumping in her seat. "Aw, come on! I was so close!"

Yang laughed loudly, clapping Ruby on the back. "Hey, you still did great, sis. Even if Weiss technically won, it was a close fight."

Blake nodded, her book in hand. "Ruby, you kept up with Weiss, who's been training for years. That's something to be proud of."

Oscar chuckled, leaning slightly toward Ruby. "Besides, you made her work for it. I think Weiss was sweating at one point."

Weiss huffed, though there was a slight blush on her cheeks. "I was not sweating. It was just... focus."

Coco chimed in from the side, smirking as she adjusted her sunglasses. "Focus, huh? Looked like a close call to me, Schnee."

Velvet giggled softly. "It really was an amazing match. Both of you should be proud."

Ruby perked up slightly, rubbing the back of her head. "Yeah, I guess it was a good fight. But next time, Weiss, I'll totally win!"

Weiss smirked and gave Ruby a sidelong glance. "We'll see about that. You're welcome to try."

Glynda cleared her throat, redirecting the room's attention. "Regardless of the result, that was a spectacular match. Now, let's move on to the next pair. Who's up?"

The students murmured among themselves, deciding their next competitors as the training continued.

Oscar then sat back in his chair, for some reason he felt like this whole fight and everything with Weiss was gonna be more different, he felt like if he didn't talk to her yesterday or if he didn't exist to break that ice shell of Weiss through what he was doing this fight would be more malaise and almost hate between the two of them, this was just a feeling Oscar had.

As he saw one by everyone fought, Jaune came to fight Pyrrha and Oscar just blinked and next he knew Jaune was in the ground his sword flying as it almost hir Velvet but then it was catched Velvet opned hee Eyes only to see the Sword stopped inches away from her face, as she saw who catched it, it was nun othe then Oscar.

Oscar just looked as he gave her a smile which made hee blush. "No need to thank me ok, I think anyone". His eyes then went to Cardin. "Mostly anyone would have stopped that".

Velvet's cheeks flushed a deeper shade as she carefully took the sword from Oscar's hand. "T-Thank you, Oscar… I appreciate it."

Oscar gave a warm smile and shrugged. "It's no problem. Just glad no one got hurt."

Meanwhile, Jaune groaned from the ground, rubbing his head. Pyrrha was already at his side, offering a hand to help him up. "You did well, Jaune," she said kindly, though her amused smile betrayed her thoughts.

Jaune sighed, taking her hand. "Well enough to lose spectacularly, huh?"

Cardin chuckled from the sidelines, arms crossed. "Classic Arc. Can't even hold onto his sword."

Oscar's gaze sharpened slightly as he turned to Cardin. "Maybe you should be more focused on improving yourself rather than laughing at others."

Cardin stiffened for a moment, but before he could respond, Glynda's voice rang out. "That's enough, Mr. Winchester. And Mr. Arc, perhaps next time you should focus more on your grip and footwork."

"Yes, ma'am," Jaune muttered sheepishly.

Pyrrha gave Jaune an encouraging pat on the back before leading him off the field. Oscar returned to his seat, but not before glancing at Velvet, who was still holding Jaune's sword. She caught his eye and quickly looked away, flustered.

Weiss, observing the interaction, raised an eyebrow and leaned slightly toward Ruby. "It seems Velvet has taken a liking to your farm boy."

Ruby blinked, tilting her head. "Farm boy? You mean Oscar? Why would you think that?"

Weiss smirked knowingly. "Let's just say I can read the signs."

Yang overheard and grinned mischievously. "Oho, does Velvet have a crush? This is getting interesting."

Blake rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress a small smile. "You all act like this is a soap opera."

Oscar, oblivious to the conversation, leaned back in his chair, feeling oddly reflective. For some reason, he couldn't shake the feeling that this day, and the dynamics within their group, were slowly shifting. Whether for better or worse, only time would tell.

Later that day in Team ROWBY dorm room, as Oscar was taking the shower, as in the kitchen was only Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang

Yang took a sip of her drink as she spoke. "Ok I am gonna address the elephant in the room".

Ruby tilted her head as she spoke. "Elephant".

Yang then spoke. "That we all like Oscar".

Weiss and Blake faces went a bit red, as Ruby was still clueless, as she spoke. "I mean, we all like he is our teammates".

Yang smacked hee face wrih whe pawm looking at hee sister. "No I mena in that way"

Ruby face went red as she released. "Wait how and why, and why would think that".

Yang just looked at her team as she spoke. "He is the only boy in this school they we four spent 99% of time with, which is not our choice he is our teammate so yeah".

Ruby then spoke in ehe defenses. "Why would you even".

Yang then finish. "Sunday morning 6pm all of us, yes I saw what 3 did and yes we all saw Eachother that day, and we knew why we woke up so early".

The room fell into an awkward silence as Yang's words hung in the air. Weiss cleared her throat, clearly uncomfortable but unwilling to let Yang have the last word.

"I don't know what you think you saw, Yang," Weiss began, her cheeks still tinted pink, "but I can assure you that I have no such feelings for Oscar. He's… well, he's just Oscar."

Yang smirked, leaning back in her chair. "Sure, Weiss. Keep telling yourself that."

Blake, who had been quietly reading a book in the corner, finally spoke up without looking away from the pages. "You're deflecting, Weiss. You were the first one up that morning."

Weiss sputtered, her composure breaking for a moment. "That doesn't mean anything! I simply couldn't sleep, and I went to get some tea. It's not my fault that…" She trailed off, realizing she was only digging herself deeper.

Ruby, meanwhile, looked like she was about to explode. "W-Wait, wait, wait! Are you all saying you like Oscar? Like, like-like him?"

Yang grinned, enjoying the chaos. "Bingo, sis. And don't act like you're innocent. You've been glued to his side since the first day he joined the team."

Ruby's face turned a deep shade of red as she waved her hands frantically. "That's just because he's new and doesn't know anyone! I was just trying to be a good leader!"

Blake finally closed her book, setting it aside as she regarded her teammates with a neutral expression. "Whether or not any of us have feelings for him, it's clear that Oscar has become an important part of this team. Let's not let our… personal feelings get in the way of that."

Yang nodded, though her grin didn't fade. "Fair point, Blake. But you have to admit, the guy's got something going for him. He's strong, dependable, and he's not bad-looking either."

Weiss crossed her arms, trying to regain her usual icy demeanor. "This conversation is utterly ridiculous. Oscar is our teammate, and that's all he is. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have better things to do than entertain Yang's nonsense."

With that, Weiss stood and walked out of the room, though her flushed face betrayed her attempt at indifference.

Ruby looked at Yang and Blake, still flustered. "We can't let this become a thing, right? We're supposed to be a team, not… whatever this is!"

Yang laughed, reaching over to ruffle Ruby's hair. "Relax, sis. It's just a little harmless fun. Besides, who knows? Maybe Oscar's not even into any of us."

Blake smirked faintly. "Or maybe he's into all of us."

Ruby's face somehow turned even redder, and she buried it in her hands. "This is so embarrassing…"

The sound of the shower turning off in the background signaled Oscar's return. Yang stretched and stood, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Well, guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens, huh?"

As Oscar stepped out of the bathroom, oblivious to the conversation that had just taken place, he paused at the sight of his teammates looking unusually tense.

"Uh… did I miss something?" he asked cautiously.

Ruby jumped to her feet, shaking her head furiously. "Nope! Nothing at all! Everything's totally fine!"

Oscar raised an eyebrow, unconvinced, but decided not to press the issue. "Right… well, I'm heading to bed. Night, everyone."

As the door to his room closed, the remaining three girls exchanged glances, each silently resolving to sort out their feelings before things got any more complicated.

Late that night when Oscar was in the kitchen.

Yang looked at all of them. "So while Oscar is in the Kitchen and we have cleared our mind, let's agree".

Ruby spoke as she sighed. "Yes I agree".

Blake and Weiss and then followed. "Yes we aslo agree"

Yang then spoke. "Good we all have agreed, no matter which one of us end up with Oscar we will be happy for eachother, I mean our only competition is Velvet, who else is there".

Meanwhile in Vale Penny sneezed feeling like she was being talked about, in twma CFVY both Coco and Velvet sneezed, in a different demons Two demon girl and a succubus sneezed, in a Atlest a few girls Seenzed in Mistrial a few girls that knew Oscar for a while also Seenzed.

Yang just looked at the group unaware of the chain reaction ahs set up that nobody knows about. "I mean how hard can it be right".

Back in the dorm room, Yang's words lingered in the air, and the others nodded in agreement. "Yeah," Blake said, "It's not like any of us are really going to fight over him." Her tone was a mix of amusement and sincerity.

Weiss, who had been unusually quiet up until now, spoke next. "As long as we're honest with each other, there shouldn't be any issues." Her usual stoic demeanor had returned, but there was a faint blush still visible on her cheeks.

Ruby, eager to steer the conversation back to something more comfortable, piped up. "Exactly! We've all been through so much together already. No matter what happens, we're still a team. Right?" She flashed a big smile, trying to reassure herself and everyone else.

"Right!" Yang added with a grin, clearly pleased with the resolution. "No matter who Oscar chooses, we'll still be one big happy team!"

Meanwhile, in Vale, Penny sneezed unexpectedly while tinkering with some parts in her workshop. "Achoo! Someone must be talking about me…" She shrugged it off, returning to her work, unaware of the cause.

In Team CFVY's dorm, Coco and Velvet simultaneously sneezed while sorting through some gear. Velvet looked at Coco, slightly puzzled. "Did someone just mention us?" Coco raised an eyebrow. "No idea. Maybe Oscar's thinking about us?"

In a different part of the world, two demon girls and a succubus sneezed simultaneously as well, looking around at each other in confusion. "What's with the sneezing?" one of the demons asked.

Back at Atlas Academy, a few girls who had known Oscar for a while also felt a sudden sneeze coming on, exchanging glances with each other in bewilderment. "Is something up with Oscar?" one of them whispered.

Meanwhile, Yang, oblivious to the strange chain reaction her words had set off across Remnant, continued. "I mean, how hard can it be, right? We all know him so well, it'll just work out naturally." She leaned back, grinning. "Let's just see what happens!"

Ruby nodded, but a tiny worry crept into her mind. "I hope Oscar's okay with everything, though…"

As Yang's words continued to ripple across Remnant, affecting those connected to Oscar in ways none of them could have anticipated, it became clear that whatever happened next was about to get a lot more complicated—whether anyone realized it or not.
