Saint Lady, Please Let Them Go

Ch. 5

Chapter 5: Nifreya, You Wouldn’t Want the Whole City to Know by Tomorrow, Would You?

In the room.

Nifreya couldn’t sleep, twisting and turning in bed.

“Wuwu, Tina found out… What do I do, what do I do…”

Only after the other party left did emotions like embarrassment, shame, and regret flood her heart.

Her mind was a tangled mess.

Tina wasn’t just her personal guard; she was also a close friend who grew up with her.

This time, sneaking a look at that kind of things behind her back—surely she’d be despised, looked down upon…

Tina…

How would she see me from now on?

It’s over, it’s over.

“Wuwuwu, my image is completely ruined.”

“Probably right now, Tina’s thinking about how I turned into such a vulgar young lady… To actually look at that kind of thing, I’m done for… Wuwuwu…”

All along, Nifreya had worked hard to maintain the image of a noble lady.

But now, it is crumbling.

If Tina told Father or Mother about this…

Or even Sister.

How, how could I go on living?

Although the Noyce family wasn’t nobility, with no fiefdom, Nifreya, who had always held herself to the standards of a noble lady, felt like the sky was collapsing.

She hugged her blanket, twisting and turning in bed.

“No, Tina probably won’t tell anyone.”

The girl looked at the wall, as if her gaze could pierce through the thick stone to see her friend next door and discern her thoughts at that moment.

Should I go confirm what Tina’s thinking?

The idea lingered in her mind.

No, no, no, going to Tina now—how would I even bring it up?

Then maybe tomorrow at breakfast, ask her what she plans to do?

Would Tina really not tell anyone!?

Unable to sleep, Nifreya got out of bed and gently pressed her ear against the wall.

But she heard nothing.

She paced back and forth in the room, her moist, starry eyes looking pitiful, as if she might cry at any moment.

After a long while, she quietly went to the door and opened it.

Then she crept to Tina’s door, tiptoeing to press her ear against it.

But unexpectedly, the door suddenly opened, and Nifreya stumbled, nearly falling inside.

Fortunately, Tina, quick-eyed and swift-handed, steadied her by the shoulders, preventing her from falling.

“Young lady, you’re still not sleeping? What are you doing at my door?” Tina asked, knowing full well.

Nifreya, like a child caught doing something wrong, lowered her head meekly, not daring to look at her: “I, I… I just… came to check if, if, if you were asleep.”

Tina was both exasperated and amused.

But unlike the simple-minded Nifreya, she understood why her friend couldn’t sleep and had come over.

So she said earnestly, “Don’t worry, young lady, I won’t tell anyone else, including the master and the others.”

“Really!?” Nifreya’s eyes lit up, and she happily hugged Tina, giving her a peck. “Tina, you’re the best.”

Tina gave her a mock glare: “You better appreciate it. Covering for you like this—if it got out, I’d be punished too. Young lady, you need to be more careful in the future.”

“I know, I know.” Nifreya, back to her usual cheerfulness, spoke with a casual tone.

Tina tapped her head in mock annoyance: “Go back to bed.”

“Mm.”

With her worries resolved, Nifreya happily returned to her room.

No one noticed a dark shadow slip inside when Nifreya opened the door.

Back in her room, she turned off the magic lamp and went to bed.

The girl closed her eyes, a sweet smile on her lips.

Just then, a devilish voice spoke up.

“Oh? Who would’ve thought, who would’ve thought—the second young lady of the Minglu Merchant Guild, the revered princess of Flower Citadel, secretly enjoys such lewd things, tsk tsk tsk.”

Who!?

Nifreya’s heart jolted, and she opened her eyes, shouting, “Who? Who’s there!?”

Her voice was soft and sweet, even tinged with fear, like it was laced with a bowl of sugar water.

If one could taste it, it’d probably be even sweeter, right?

Sophia was getting impatient.

By the faint moonlight streaming through the balcony, Nifreya saw a figure in black nightclothes, wearing a silver mask, standing by her bed.

She instinctively tried to scream.

But the figure, quick as lightning, pulled up the blanket in front of her, smothering her entirely.

Nifreya’s scream was muffled.

The girl frantically kicked and flailed.

“Miss Nifreya, if you want all of Red Maple City to know what you look at every night, go ahead and keep screaming.”

“I mean what I say. There are my people outside. Don’t think getting rid of me will solve anything.”

Those words were effective.

Nifreya immediately stopped struggling.

Sophia lifted the blanket, revealing a tearful, stunning pink-haired girl, looking pitiful and trembling slightly as she gazed at her.

Her nightgown, due to the earlier struggle, had slipped off her shoulder, exposing her delicate, enticing pink collarbone.

Sophia’s mouth went dry, Joyful Magic surging within her, a burning, uncontrollable desire igniting.

It was as if a devil was urging her—pounce on her, ravage her, make her cry!

But Sophia forcibly held herself back.

Not because she suddenly grew a conscience and couldn’t bear to harm the fragile, innocent girl.

But because—

Knock, knock, knock.

“Young lady? Are you okay? I thought I heard something in your room just now.”

Tina had returned and was knocking at the door.

“Young lady? I’m coming in?!”

She was already turning the lock.

The noise startled Sophia.

She hadn’t expected the other party to be so dutiful and perceptive.

She quickly looked around.

No time!

With no other choice, Sophia lifted Nifreya’s blanket and dove inside.

“Eek!”

Amid the pink-haired girl’s yelp, Tina burst through the door.

“Young lady! Are you okay!?” Tina anxiously flicked on the magic lamp switch, checking Nifreya’s condition as the light flared.

At that moment, Nifreya felt the person in the blanket pinch her slender waist.

Recalling the earlier threat, Nifreya, who had been about to call for help, improvised and pointed at the ceiling: “Bug! There was a bug on the ceiling just now!”

Her voice trembled, her face full of terror.

Tina didn’t suspect a thing; she knew Nifreya had always been afraid of bugs.

And since Flower Citadel was surrounded by so many flowers and plants, it often attracted hordes of insects.

Even with insect-repellent plants and sprayed potions, they couldn’t keep them out entirely.

It wasn’t unusual for bugs to occasionally get into the citadel.

“Let me check, don’t be scared.”

Tina glanced curiously at Nifreya’s raised blanket, assuming it was just her legs propped up and kicking, and turned to look for the bug.

Nifreya watched her nervously, while Sophia, sweating in the blanket, remained outwardly calm: “Get rid of her, or else…”

“Wuwu.” Nifreya let out a whimper.

Sophia’s threat extinguished her last flicker of hope for rescue.

The blanket was fragrant, soft, and warm…

After the initial tension, Sophia grew bolder, sliding her hand along the girl’s smooth, tender leg, moving upward.

Nifreya felt the movement in the blanket, her body starting to tremble, her small hands gripping the blanket tightly, not daring to make a sound.

Tina soon found a large spider in the corner.

Seeing Nifreya trembling as she looked at her, she couldn’t help but laugh: “It’s okay, young lady, I’ve caught it… Huh? You’re not crying, are you? Is a spider that scary?”

She had no idea that Sophia, in the blanket, was already making her move, and Nifreya, defenseless and overwhelmed, didn’t dare call out or push her away, only enduring in silence.

Never having experienced this, unsure how to react, Nifreya could only let herself be manipulated, her lovely face flushed crimson, her sobs starting to break through.

Tina immediately sensed something was wrong. Seeing the wriggling blanket, she drew a dagger from her nightclothes and shouted sternly, “Someone’s in the blanket?! Young lady, get out of bed, I’ll kill them!”
