Chapter 19: SDOPM: Chapter 19
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! You think I'm three years old?! You think I'll believe your lies?!"
"DREAM ON!"
Hellish Blizzard's teeth were clenched, her eyes blazing with fury. She didn't give Kaito Ren a chance to explain, unleashing her psychic powers. She intended to teach him a lesson.
"Huh?!"
Hellish Blizzard froze. Perhaps because she was using only one hand, her psychic attack had no effect on Kaito Ren.
Seeing Kaito Ren completely unaffected, a flood of memories from her training with her sister overwhelmed her.
"Seriously? This is what you call psychic powers?! We're sisters! Why is the gap so huge?! Are you even trying?!"
"What?! You think psychic powers are a child's game?! It barely tickles! You're wasting your talent! I'm furious!"
"Don't tell anyone you're my sister! You're an embarrassment!"
"You…"
Years of pent-up frustration exploded. She wanted to prove to her sister that she was training hard, giving it her all. She hadn't wasted her talent.
"ROAR, HELLISH GALE!"
Hellish Blizzard's cry unleashed a hurricane in the room. Everything was lifted into the air, spinning wildly, the wind intensifying. Even Kaito Ren felt the pressure and braced himself, adopting a fighting stance.
But then, just as the hurricane reached its peak… POOF! It vanished as if it had never existed.
Huh?!
Kaito Ren was confused. Then, a square, fragrant object—a towel?—floated past. He realized what it was and looked towards Hellish Blizzard… too late.
Hellish Blizzard clutched her towel, her cheeks flushed crimson with embarrassment. She'd been careless! She'd almost been exposed! But… had he seen anything?
She glanced at Kaito Ren. He wasn't looking at her. Relief washed over her, followed by a strange sense of disappointment. She frowned. Was her figure not good enough? Or was he the problem? He'd had a perfect opportunity and hadn't even looked properly!
"Teacher? What happened?"
Saitama yawned, entering the room, completely oblivious to the chaos. He was puzzled by the mess.
"Peeping Tom! Next time, I won't be so lenient! Hmph!"
Hellish Blizzard glared at Kaito Ren before retreating to her room, clutching her towel.
"Teacher, did you do something to her? Why's she so mad?"
Saitama tilted his head, looking at Kaito Ren and the closed door, utterly confused.
"Mind your own business."
Kaito Ren retorted, leaving Saitama alone, still puzzled. He was two years older than his teacher, wasn't he?
Meanwhile, in the school office…
"Ms. Kawana, a surge of energy was detected in Dorm A102. Should we check it out?"
"It's probably nothing. The students would have reported it otherwise."
Kawana forced a strained smile, Hellish Blizzard's image flashing through her mind. This was Tatsumaki's sister, someone the Hero Association was desperately trying to recruit. They'd specifically instructed her to take care of Hellish Blizzard, ensuring nothing went wrong. That meant Hellish Blizzard couldn't drop out, but anything else was fine. Even if the school was demolished. The school could be rebuilt, but there was only one Tatsumaki.
Back in his room, Kaito Ren fumed. He wanted to confront Hellish Blizzard. Why was he the peeping tom?!
But then he reconsidered. Good men don't fight women. And he was partly to blame. If he'd checked the room before entering…
Still, he needed to vent.
[You feel frustrated. You want to…?]
[1: Do some relaxing entertainment (Gain Strength Enhancement Agent +5)]
[2: Go for a walk, maybe find some monsters to beat up (Gain Constitution Enhancement Agent +6)]
[Your choice is?]
"Two!"
Kaito Ren looked at the first option, thinking the system was a bit… inappropriate. "Relaxing entertainment"? He needed to get stronger! If he were stronger…
Ahem… he wouldn't have been so easily flustered earlier. Yes, that's what he meant.
"Teacher, wait for me! I'll train with you."
Saitama, preparing for his training, saw Kaito Ren heading out and followed him. The school was more like a training facility. Students could live there or rent nearby. There were no daily schedules. The only requirement was passing periodic tests. Pass, and you stayed. Fail, and you left. Kaito Ren liked this system.
"Kaito Ren?! You're here too?!"
As Kaito Ren and Saitama left the school, a familiar figure approached.
