Savage resolve: A wolf's journey to freedom

Chapter 34: uninvited intrusion

Mia sat in the warm bath, the water soothing her aching muscles. Blake stood by the bathroom door, concern etched on his face. Mia stared blankly ahead, still in shock from the intense fight. Blake hesitated for a moment before speaking softly, "princesses, I can see that you're still processing everything. It was a lot to take in, I know. But I want you to know that I'm here for you. Whenever you're ready to talk, I'll be right outside."

Mia nodded, her voice barely a whisper. "Thank you, Blake. I just… I don't even know where to begin. It was so intense, and I'm still trying to process it all." Blake moved closer, his voice filled with understanding. "Take your time, Love. There's no rush. Whenever you're ready, I'll be here to listen. Just know that I'm proud of you. You showed incredible strength out there." Mia managed a small smile, grateful for Blake's support. "I appreciate that, Blake. It means a lot to me. Right now, I just need some time to gather my thoughts. But I promise, we'll talk soon." Blake nodded, his eyes filled with compassion.

"I'll be right outside whenever you're ready, Mia. Remember, you're not alone in this. I'll always be here for you." With those words of reassurance, Blake left the bathroom, giving Mia the space she required. As she soaked in the bath, Mia's mind began to process the events of the fight. Soon, she would find the strength to share her experiences with Blake, knowing that he would be there to support her every step of the way.

As the steam filled the bathroom, Mia indulged in a relaxing bath, feeling the warm water wash away the stress of the day. Little did she know, Blake had quietly entered the room, drawn in by the sound of her soft humming. His eyes sparkled with desire as he watched her, captivated by her beauty. Unable to resist any longer, Blake stepped forward, a mischievous smile playing on his lips.

He reached out to caress her wet hair, gently brushing it away from her face. Mia's heart skipped a beat as his touch sent shivers down her spine. Their gazes locked, a silent understanding passing between them. At that moment, the world outside the bathroom ceased to exist. The only thing that mattered was the electric connection between Mia and Blake. With a tender touch, Blake lifted Mia out of the bath, her wet body pressed against his. Their lips met in a passionate kiss, a fusion of desire and longing. Mia's mark, like a wild flower on her neck and shoulder, called to Blake, drawing him closer. His fingers traced its delicate lines, eliciting a soft moan from Mia's lips.

Lost in their own world, they moved towards the bed, their bodies entwined, their passion growing with each passing second. But just as the intensity reached its peak, a sudden knock shattered the moment.Startled, Mia and Blake froze, their eyes widening in disbelief. Before they could even utter a word, Elias boldly entered the room, his expression a mixture of shock and anger.

Blake's fury ignited, knowing that Elias had witnessed his mate in such a vulnerable state. Meanwhile, Mia, overwhelmed by the intrusion, let out a piercing scream, seeking refuge by hiding beneath Blake's protective embrace. Blake's eyes widened as he looked at his mate, who was trying to cover her body. He thought Elias had left, but was surprised to still seem standing there. He let out a low growl which cause Elias to tremble in fear and step back out, closing the door. Just when he was about to comfort his mate, they heard a knock on the door again. "Who could that be?" he muttered, his voice filled with irritation.

He quickly grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his waist before heading towards the bedroom door. Mia, still in shock, clutched the sheets tightly, her voice trembling. "Blake, who is it? What do we do?" Blake glanced back at her, his expression a mix of concern and frustration. "I don't know, Mia. Just stay here, I'll find out." He walked towards the front door, his steps heavy with annoyance.

As Blake opened the door, Elias stood there, his face flushed with embarrassment. He avoided eye contact with Blake, his voice filled with apologies. "I'm so sorry, man. I didn't mean to interrupt... I just... Furthermore, I thought you guys were alone." Blake's jaw clenched, his voice dripping with anger. "Clearly, we weren't alone, Elias. What the hell were you thinking, barging in like that?" Elias stammered, trying to explain himself. "I... I didn't realize... I mean, I didn't expect to see... Furthermore, I'm really sorry, Alpha Blake. I should have knocked or waited outside." Mia's voice trembled from the bedroom, her words laced with shock and disbelief. "Elias, how could you? This is a private moment!" Elias turned towards the bedroom, his voice filled with regret. "Mia, I truly didn't mean to intrude. I never would have come in if I knew you were... occupied."

Blake's anger began to subside, replaced by a sense of protectiveness towards Mia. He walked back into the bedroom, his voice softer but still firm. "Mia, it's alright. Let's get dressed, and we'll talk about this." Mia's voice quivered as she replied, her words a mix of fear and confusion. "I just don't understand why he would do something like this. It's so unlike Elias." Blake sat down on the bed beside her, his voice gentle as he reassured her. "I don't know either, Mia. But right now, let's focus on getting through this and figuring out what happened." Elias cleared his throat, trying to compose himself. "Um, Alpha Blake," he began, his voice slightly shaky. "I understand that what I just witnessed was…unexpected. But, if it's alright with you, I would like to have a conversation with Mia. Chad was hoping we could all sit down and talk."

Alpha Blake's eyes narrowed, his protective instincts flaring up. He took a moment to assess Elias's sincerity, searching for any ulterior motives. Finally, he let out a deep breath and nodded, albeit reluctantly. "Fine, Elias. But remember, she's my mate. Treat her with respect." Elias nodded, gratitude evident in his eyes. "Of course, Alpha, Blake. I would never disrespect Mia or your bond. I just want to have an honest conversation and clear the air." As Elias and Alpha Blake exchanged a brief nod, the tension in the room remained thick. Mia, still trembling from the shock of the intrusion, peeked out from behind Blake, her eyes filled with a mix of curiosity and apprehension.
