Yeah! Here's the new chapter!

After Harry and Ron's last big parental revelation the two Gryffindor boys spent 2 minutes cursing Malfoy, not knowing whether to feel disgusted or angry.

And while they recovered from this 'disturbing' news I looked at them with a huge smile on my face.

And Harry who saw this turned to me with a grimace.

"You're having a lot of fun with this, aren't you?" he asked me.

"Yes, I am," and I nodded happily without hesitation.

'Bastard' he cursed at me mentally.

And without knowing that the Gryffindor golden boy was cursing me in his mind, a mischievous gleam flashed in my eyes, 'Heh, I can't wait to see what Malfoy's reaction will be when he finds out about his new relatives too' I thought.

But shaking my head I decided to change the subject, "Well, let's leave aside Harry and Ron's blond parental discovery for now" I said, smiling again when I saw the two boys glaring at me.

But ignoring that I looked at Harry, "So Harry, I guess after all these explanations and revelations you finally understood that your assumptions were wrong, right?" I asked him.

And hearing my question, Harry blinked, before looking away, a little embarrassed.

"Well... I understand that I may have been a bit hasty... And that I may be wrong about being descended from the founder of Slytherin," he began to say, which made me nod in satisfaction.

But right after that he then looked at me, "But none of the things you said explain how I have the ability to talk to snakes" he said.

"Oh," I blinked, "Actually the answer to that is very simple," I said, which made Harry and the others look at me immediately.

"Really? And what is it?" he asked, and then all four teenagers began to stare at me intently, waiting for my answer.

"Well, the answer is that you simply awakened the ability," I shrugged.

And upon hearing this the green-eyed boy blinked in confusion, "Huh?"

"I... I didn't understand," Hermione said, frowning, "What do you mean he simply 'awakened' the ability?"

"Well, that's exactly what I meant, the ability was awakened in him without any external influences, like some ancestor who also had the gift or something like that," I explained.

"But that... But that doesn't even make sense!" Hermione said with a confused frown.

"Hermione, how do you think the first Parselmouth came to be? Or the first Metamorphmagus?" I asked, looking calmly at the bushy-haired girl.

And upon hearing my question Hermione blinked, before looking forward thoughtfully with her lips pursed.

"Err... Well..." she started to say.

But even after thinking a lot, Hermione couldn't find an answer to my question.

And with a frown she realized that this was a question she would not be able to answer, since magical abilities were not a subject she had studied.

"Sigh... I don't know," she said, giving up on answering.

And hearing that I nodded, "I already expected that you wouldn't be able to answer that question, since no one actually has an answer to it" I said.

And hearing this Hermione blinked, "What?" she looked at me without understanding.

And seeing this I decided to explain, "Well, magical abilities are one of the oldest and most complex things in the wizarding world, and the mystery surrounding their emergence and awakening is something that no witch or wizard has been able to unravel, even after thousands of years."

"No one knows the meaning of their existence, how they came about, what the criteria are for awakening them in a wizard, or who was the first wizard to have an ability."

"And as no one was able to find an answer to these questions, everyone decided by general consensus to accept that magical abilities exist and awaken in wizards randomly and without any hidden meaning, just like magic itself." I finished my explanation.

And then I looked at my four young Padawans, seeing that they were looking at me completely focused on what I was saying, just like students in a classroom listening to a lecture from the teacher.

And nodding in satisfaction I turned to Harry, "And now that you know this Harry, I hope you don't judge your ability to talk to snakes like the fools in our community, because what makes a person bad is not their power or ability, but what you do with it."

"And I also hope that you don't try to ignore or suppress your ability, because it is something as natural as your magic and is already part of you, and that's why you MUST use it" I looked seriously at the green-eyed boy.

And I knew that Harry having the ability to talk to snakes wasn't actually something natural, since he got it through the soul piece in his forehead.

However, I disregarded this information because I wanted Harry to accept his ability, as it would be very useful in the future, and perhaps even very important depending on the situation.

But unfortunately Harry didn't know that, and even after everything I said he still seemed to consider Parseltongue an ability that connected him to Voldemort.

And looking at the Boy-Who-Lived I could see that he was still a little hesitant about his newfound ability.

"Look Ethan, I understand that speaking Parseltongue isn't a bad thing and that this ability is special and unique, I really do, but asking me to use it is... a bit much," Harry said with a frown.

And hearing this and feeling his feelings of aversion I sighed, 'Well, this is a little frustrating, but I knew from the beginning that convincing him would not be an easy task' I thought.

But I wasn't discouraged, mainly because I knew exactly what I had to do to make Harry lose his fear and repulsion of Parseltongue.

And deciding to use my ace up my sleeve, I started walking towards the four teenagers.

"Well Harry, I understand why you refuse to use Parseltongue," I started to say with a calm look, "However, I hope you know that having this ability doesn't just connect you to Salazar Slytherin and Voldemort."

"Huh?" and when he heard this Harry looked at me without understanding.

However, I didn't try to explain my sentence to him, and continuing to walk I passed the four confused teenagers.

And now Fleur, Ron, Harry, and Hermione were looking at my back as I began to approach the large python, who was still standing in the middle of the room watching us.

And as soon as they realized I was heading towards the snake, the four of them panicked.

"Ethan, don't go near that thing! It'll bite you!" Ron warned me fearfully.

"Don't worry, it won't bite me," I said without looking back, standing confidently in front of the snake.

And Ron was going to tell me something else, but in the next instant whatever words were about to come out of his mouth got stuck in his throat, with him gasping in shock as he looked at me with wide eyes.

And he wasn't the only one to react like that, as Fleur, Harry and Hermione were also looking at me completely shocked and open-mouthed, stunned by the scene that was happening in front of them.

"§Hello, Mrs. Snake§" I began to talk to the large python in Parseltongue.

And as soon as the snake heard me speak in its language, it looked at me in surprise, "§You are also an orator!?§" it exclaimed.

"§Yes, I am§" I replied in a hiss.

But then I remembered its conversation with Harry, which made me narrow my eyes, "§And I hope you don't try to do something stupid, because if you do I'll turn you into a boot... and I'll do it without using magic§" I threatened the snake.

And my threat seemed to have been effective, as I could feel the python's fear as it nodded quickly, trying to appear as humble and harmless as possible.

"§Good§" I nodded.

I then began to approach the snake, and when I was less than a foot away from it I stretched out my arm, placing my hand on its head.

And after that I started patting the python on the head, as if it were a cute and docile pet.

And the python didn't dare complain about the way it was being treated, just silently accepting my pats.

And in fact, for some reason the big, scary snake was actually enjoying this, and the fear it felt towards me was replaced by satisfaction as it closed its eyes and let itself be petted, bringing its head even closer to my hand.

And seeing this I snorted, and still petting the python I turned to look back at my friends.

And looking at Fleur, Hermione, Harry, and Ron I could see the four teenagers staring at me with comically shocked and astonished expressions.

'Hmm, I think if they receive any more shocking or unexpected information today, they might end up losing their minds,' I thought amused.

End.
