Selling Cans from Naruto to Beyond

Chapter 86: 86: The Battle Has Begun

Shen Mo's final words shifted everyone's expressions, hearts racing uncontrollably.

Higher-level cans?

By now, they knew the Chamber's can system well. Each level's price was ten times the last, but the items' value scaled just as steeply!

In other words, Zabuza's full gear, swapped for Level 3 cans, might match a single item.

Higher-level cans could hold even stronger abilities!

Sasuke's mind raced. A Level 4 or even Level 5 can skill…

Hiss—

Just imagining it sent a thrill through him.

The Heavenly Flying Immortal from a Level 2 can was already so powerful.

What terror would a Level 5 skill bring?

Taking down that man would be effortless.

Gradually…

The atmosphere shifted.

If facing otherworldly spectators had left them feeling small and stifled, now it was about personal gain—tempting gain.

Everyone wanted to shout:

Too good!

Reading their thoughts, Shen Mo smirked inwardly.

This was his second goal for introducing spectators, beyond lore-building: adding surprise.

Players who pulled off flashy moves craved sharing them. Even without that urge, likes, comments, or rewards fueled effort. Some would grind endlessly for videos.

Look at Sasuke.

Before, he just wanted to win.

Now, he wanted to win spectacularly, to earn a senior member's favor, score higher-level cans, and unlock greater power.

No money?

For such a rare chance, they'd borrow, go into debt, sell useless abilities—anything to buy!

Thus…

The PVP system's four core roles shone fully:

—Resurrection, fueling the drive to grow stronger, enriching Chamber lore, sparking impulsive gacha spending!

"The battle has begun," Shen Mo said finally, then fell silent.

Like a gunshot signaling the start.

Zabuza and Kakashi's teams instantly formed up.

Sakura and others unqualified to fight were whisked to a corner, only able to watch.

"Sasuke, Naruto," Kakashi said, eyeing the enemy, voice low. "Focus on teamwork. Don't go wild for attention."

"Got it!" Naruto brimmed with confidence, face alight, stepping forward. "Same as before—I'll lead the attack!"

"…"

Kakashi and Sasuke's eyes twitched.

Naruto might as well have written "I'm stealing the spotlight" on his face.

"No way, Zabuza's different now!" Kakashi's eyes narrowed, studying Zabuza and Haku, strategizing.

But the other side moved faster.

"Haku," Zabuza barked.

"Yes!" Haku replied, no words needed—perfectly in sync with Zabuza's plan.

A whirlwind swirled around Haku, who drew the longbow taut, ice arrows forming rapidly amid the gusts.

"Here it comes!" Kakashi braced.

"Hmph," Sasuke snorted, eyes turning crimson, two black tomoe spinning slowly. "I can block those arrows—!?"

Before he finished, ice shards crossed the distance in a blink, aimed at him, laced with razor-sharp wind blades!

Can't block!?

"Dodge!"

Kakashi yanked Sasuke back, his kunai weaving a blur of afterimages.

Bang bang bang.

A rapid clatter rang out.

Every ice shard was knocked away.

Secret Art: Soul Release Curse.

It broke mental limits, boosting reaction speed, at the cost of headaches—longer use, worse pain.

"You blocked that!?" Zabuza gaped.

Even his sharp eyes couldn't track Kakashi's kunai swings!

Kakashi hadn't shown this strength before.

"Lord Zabuza, that was my fastest attack with gear skills," Haku said, face shifting slightly.

With Wind's Blessing and the weapon's traits, this speed was leagues beyond earlier attacks.

"Damn it! How many cans did he open?" Zabuza gripped his greatsword, voice low. "They're coming!"

Kakashi's trio formed a triangle.

Kakashi at the front.

Sasuke and Naruto close behind, charging at Zabuza, who seemed slower.

"Haku, support from the side!"

"Yes!"

Haku, wreathed in wind, darted away instantly.

Zabuza slammed his All-Cutting Teigu into the ground as a shield, hands flashing through seals.

Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu!

From the arena's central rift, a water dragon surged, roaring toward Kakashi's team.

Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!

Kakashi, just as fast, formed seals, spewing a massive fireball, its searing heat clashing with Zabuza's dragon.

Sizzle—

Water met fire, unleashing a huge burst of steam, fog spreading in an instant.

"Not good!" Zabuza's pupils narrowed.

He realized—they aimed to take him out first, then deal with the faster Haku.

Too late.

Under the fog's cover, Kakashi's trio closed in.

"Zabuza, take my sword!"

Sasuke's broken blade thrust at Zabuza, all his strength focused in the strike.

"Hmph, the same move?" Knowing the sword's power, Zabuza didn't block this time but retreated. Then, swift ice arrows shot from the side, targeting Sasuke's heart and throat.

Haku wasn't holding back—aiming for lethal points.

Bang bang bang.

The same clatter—Kakashi blocked Haku's attack.

But Naruto, having taken his last Power Pill, reached Zabuza's rear first, fist raised, cutting off his retreat.

The trio's roles were clear.

Instantly, they pressured Zabuza.

But…

"Don't think I'm that slow!"

Purple chakra, like a malevolent ghost, erupted from Zabuza.

Hidden Mist: Silent Killing!

Originally paired with Hidden Mist Jutsu for stealthy kills in fog…

Here…

The speed boost alone was enough.
