Chapter 180: Battle Against Awakening Realm
When Chu Wuyao raised her head to look at the source of the powerful aura above her, she saw a giant green palm that was rapidly falling downwards, its target being herself.
The palm made the skin all over her body itch as if it had been penetrated by countless invisible needles.
Feeling this, Chu Wuyao urged her Mana and wiped out this inexplicable feeling, while a sword appeared in her hand.
The sword was black and its aura was not very high, only equivalent to a Middle-Grade Spiritual Weapon.
It was said to be equivalent because the sword was not a Magic Weapon, but a magic item that she brought out of the Inheritance World.
Although it didn't bring her any increase in strength, it was at least enough to be used.
Grasping the sword tightly, Chu Wuyao's aura surged and she swung it towards the sky, towards the falling green palm.
Many bright stars flashed across its surface and one would have the illusion that they were looking at the starry sky.
"Boom!"
The giant palm was cut into two when the sword struck it, before it turned into green mist and disappeared. Your journey continues with My Virtual Library Empire
The sword didn't stop there though, but shone brightly and continued unabated, moving towards Song Yang at a high speed.
Song Yang had never expected that Chu Wuyao would be able to react, much less that she would take the initiative to attack him.
Even so, facing the sword that seemed to be the incarnation of the starry sky, he instantly reacted.
His mind moved and a green light flew out of his body, turning into a giant figure.
The figure was many meters tall and looked like a human, except that its skin was green and covered in eerie black spots.
Its back was hunched and a huge sarcoma grew out of it, which produced a strange green mist that surrounded it.
This was the Vision that Song Yang had awakened, named The Plague.
"Hehehe!"
Song Yang's Vision opened its mouth and let out an eerie laugh, while the green mist that surrounded it gathered at its right palm and was attached to its skin.
Then, the Vision moved its palm to meet the incoming starry sword.
"Growl!"
A grimace of pain appeared on the Vision's terrifying face and the body of Song Yang trembled, but at the same time, the fate of the sword was not any better.
Strange green-black spots appeared on its surface and they spread quickly like a plague, and before long, they covered it completely.
"Aah!"
A shrill cry came from the sword, and unable to bear the impact, it turned into ashes.
Chu Wuyao didn't care about destruction of the sword though, and she took a step forward, her figure disappearing.
When she appeared again, she stood beside Song Yang, as if she had teleported.
Chu Wuyao didn't rush to use the power of her God Clone, but decided to test her real body's current strength.
Just like Song Yang had done before, she activated her Six Paths Vision.
A crowned figure appeared behind her, holding a black scythe in one hand and a white list in the other, while six holes revolved continuously behind its head, like a halo.
Its momentum spread and oppressed everything around it, its aura majestic.
When Song Yang saw this figure, he was shocked.
He didn't expect that the cultivator who he thought was only at the Early Stage of the Shackles Realm was actually hiding their realm, much less that they had awakened their Vision.
Moreover, from the Six Paths' majestic appearance and the sense of awe coming from his own Vision, he understood that its grade was very high.
At the very least, it was higher than his own.
However, Song Yang soon calmed down.
"Just because its grade is high does not mean that it's strong too."
Having stayed at the Awakening Realm for hundreds of years, although Song Yang was far from breaking through the Supernatural Realm, he had supplemented his own Vision and Authorities and brought their power to another level.
Looking at the Six Paths Vision, he directly took action.
"Plague!", he whispered and the Vision behind his back pointed at Chu Wuyao.
A green-black light flashed on its fingertips, and instantly, Chu Wuyao felt uncomfortable.
The temperature of her body began getting higher and her throat became sore, and she had the urge to cough.
Her eyes became a little blurry and her mind felt tired, as if she had not slept for months.
As a cultivator, it was impossible for her to become sick, so Chu Wuyao instantly understood that this should have been caused by Song Yang's attack.
Feeling that her strength was declining at a rapid speed, she didn't dare to allow this to continue.
Without hesitation, she fused with her Devil Clone and urged the Devil Body Ability, causing her blood to boil and eliminating the uncomfortable feeling.
At the same time, she didn't give time for Song Yang to attack again but decided to take the initiative.
A dazzling light flashed in the Six Paths' eyes, and the next moment, it raised the arm that held the scythe and waved it toward Song Yang.
Its movements were ordinary, like an ordinary farmer that was harvesting their land, but in Song Yang's eyes, it looked more like a reaper.
A shiver ran down his back and his intuition warned him of danger, letting him know that if this scythe landed on him, his fate would be sealed and there would only be one result:
He would perish.
When he noticed this, he couldn't help but have the urge to laugh.
He had been cautious all his life and had always avoided taking risks and putting himself in danger.
This was true even now, even when his lifespan was about to run out.
Yet, even so, he was so unlucky that the cultivator he chose to hunt at random turned out to be so powerful.
A sense of regret emerged in Song Yang's mind, and if he could turn back time, he would never choose to attack Chu Wuyao.
But soon, this regret disappeared, replaced by firm determination.
Although he had been cautious all this time, that was only because he wanted to live!
Now that his life was threatened, he would try his best to wipe out his opponent, destroying everything that blocked his way.
The moment he made this decision, Song Yang felt that his realm, which had fallen into a bottleneck and had not improved in decades, began improving.
Song Yang ignored this feeling though and looked at Chu Wuyao with fierce eyes.
"Die!", he yelled and controlled his Vision to defend against the incoming black scythe.
