Chapter 96: [Celestial Devil]
Reading through the system prompt that appeared in front of her eyes, Chu Wuyao didn't rush to make a choice, but carefully read through the text contained in the system prompt.
From what the system prompt revealed, it was obvious that while Chu Wuyao had awakened her Devil bloodline and could be considered a Devil, she had yet to fully unlock the abilities that a real Devil would have.
Essentially, this meant that she only had the basic "template" that every Devil possessed, lacking the unique abilities that they would naturally awaken.
Thinking of this, she understood that the choice she made was very important and would play a huge role in her future cultivation journey.
With this in mind, she carefully considered the options she had.
Immortal Devil, Flame Devil, Shapeshifter Devil, Succubus Devil and Celestial Devil.
Just from the brief description of these five options, Chu Wuyao was able to roughly understand their respective abilities.
Immortal Devils had high-speed regenerative abilities, Flame Devils were able to manipulate fire, Shapeshifter Devils could change their appearance, Succubus Devils could manipulate emotions, and although the abilities of the Celestial Devils were not specifically mentioned, they should be as strong as the other bloodlines.
All the aforementioned options were obviously very strong and Chu Wuyao felt that no matter what decision she made, all these options could significantly increase her strength.
Facing such a tough decision, Chu Wuyao would have trouble choosing, if not for the fact that the system specifically mentioned her compatibility with each Devil bloodline.
Looking at the different percentages, she felt that the system was urging her to choose the last option, the Celestial Devil bloodline.
In the end, Chu Wuyao didn't hesitate any longer and "clicked" on the Celestial Devil option with her thoughts.
The moment she clicked on it, she felt the blood in her body boil, as if there was something awakening deep inside her.
Kneeling on the ground and sitting cross legged, Chu Wuyao grit her teeth and braced herself for the incoming pain.
Time passed by slowly, but no matter how long she waited, the pain never came.
Suddenly, pieces of information poured into her mind, while she felt some changes taking place in her bloodline.
By the time Chu Wuyao had finished digesting the information, the boiling sensation in her blood had disappeared, as if everything was over.
Opening her eyes, a hint of doubt flashed in them, revealing Chu Wuyao's current emotions.
"Where is the pain?", she wondered and subconsciously recalled the experience of her bloodline awakening.
The intense pain was still quite vivid in her mind and was something she would never forget, no matter how much time had passed.
Even now, when she thought about it, an intense pain appeared in her head, as a scorching iron rod was pressing against it.
Realizing these, Chu Wuyao immediately suppressed these memories and returned to the present.
When she looked down at her body, she was surprised to find that no change had taken place and there was no difference at all from before.
Even, Chu Wuyao found that there was actually no increase in her strength.
This, coupled with the fact that the expected pain never came, made Chu Wuyao wonder whether her promotion had failed.
But feeling the changes in her bloodline, she quickly understood that this was not true.
With some doubt, Chu Wuyao brought up the system panel, wanting to see what was going on.

Looking at her displayed information, Chu Wuyao was slightly disappointed.
Even though her proficiency in her Devil Abilities had improved and a new ability had appeared, this was not what she was expecting.
"Is the Celestial Devil bloodline so bad?", Chu Wuyao couldn't help but think, feeling that the system had tricked her.
How could the ruling race among Devils be so weak?
If it were at any other time, Chu Wuyao would have cursed the system's whole genealogical tree by now, but having just broken through the Shackles Realm, she was in a good mood at the moment and managed to restrain her anger.
"Let's see what the True Form is first. I can always slaughter the entire family of the system later.", Chu Wuyao thought, in what she felt was a rare moment of kindness.
Having said that, Chu Wuyao stood up from the ground and her thoughts moved, sensing the new ability that had been engraved on her bloodline.
However, when her thoughts came into contact with this ability, she found that it was extremely strange, completely different from any other Devil Ability Chu Wuyao had ever seen.
This made her a little more hopeful.
After all, although Chu Wuyao frequently cursed the system and threatened to dismantle it, the system had never tricked her before.
Even though she was complaining, she secretly believed that the True Form ability should be somewhat special, at least stronger than the other Devil Abilities she had currently awakened.
Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense for her to only awaken a single ability.
With this in mind, Chu Wuyao chose to activate her True Form.
The moment she did, her entire body trembled and her blood started boiling, just like it had done so before.
The next moment, Chu Wuyao's appearance rapidly changed.
The Camouflage ability that she had been using all this time was automatically turned off and she soon regained her "real" appearance.
A beautiful woman with slightly pinkish white hair and a pair of crimson, red eyes.
However, the changes didn't stop there.
Suddenly, her height started to increase and her body became bigger and bigger.
In the blink of an eye, Chu Wuyao had turned from an ordinary woman to a 3-meter giant.
As her body became bigger, the black dress that Chu Wuyao was wearing was torn into pieces, but her naked body was never revealed, as a thin piece of golden armor flew out of her skin.
The golden armor started from half-way through her chest and covered most of her torso, only ending at the top of her thighs.
There were many complicated runes flashing on the golden armor and it exuded a strange sense of majesty.
Chu Wuyao was already shocked by this change, but she was even more surprised by what followed next.

In an instant, the nails on both of her hands grew rapidly and became even longer, with each of them glowing with a sharp light, as if they had turned into powerful weapons.
Two golden horns poked out of each side of her forehead and made her look slightly evil, while a thin golden tail grew behind her back and hit the ground.
Subconsciously, Chu Wuyao opened her mouth, revealing a long pink tongue and two sets of densely-packed razor-sharp teeth that looked ready to break everything.
Chu Wuyao's current appearance was very strange and although she seemed to have turned into a monster through the description, in fact, the beauty in her appearance hadn't diminish in the slightest.
If anything, her appearance had become even more beautiful and there was a strange sense of charm in her every move.
As the changes in her body came to an end, Chu Wuyao finally had some time to check her condition and immediately felt that her strength, which had already increased massively because of her breakthrough, had now increased even more.
Sensing this, Chu Wuyao didn't hesitate and waved her right hand in the space in front of her, causing her long nails to pierce through the air.
Surprisingly, there was no sound, nor was there any obvious impact on the ground, as if her attack had missed.
Only a huge 10-meter-long claw mark remained on the ground as evidence of her attack.
