Sunny watched with wide eyes as he witnessed Nephis burning alive... Only in the next moment she was alive?

It seemed like she was hurting, but not dead.

Not yet.

It felt weird... For him to watch and not be able to do anything.

Was it his fault that she stepped outside?

Maybe it was.

He distracted them.

"Sunny! Don't you have something to say?

Nephis spoke, pushing him out of his thoughts...

"Sorry." He flinched, 'Why's a dead person talking to me?'

"Relax shorty..."

'Shorty? SHORTY?'

How dare her! She was his sister, well not exactly but he considered her that way!

"I'm alive, aren't I?"

Infact she was.

"I mean I'm a Supreme now-"

Sunny's mouth dropped open.

Did she defy the absolute law of this realm?

Yes, she did.

That was the only thing that made sense.

She was now a Supreme!

It made sense that this was the reason Cassie didn't warn them!

"Oh also, Cas... Is everyone in Bastion safe? Or did they enter their Nightmare?"

Sunny tilted his head, confusion evident on his face.

"Right... You wouldn't know but if there is no Domain for mundanes to be in... They would enter their First Nightmare."

What?

Did he almost become the reason a lot of people might die?

"Ofcourse, you had no way of knowing so don't beat yourself to it."

That didn't make it any better!

Suddenly, Cassie grabbed his hands, made him face her and hugged him.

For a moment, he forgot about everything Nephis said... Except it was, infact, only for a moment.

The incarnation with Rain pointed out that she was still a Mundane!

Well... In a sense dormant, but that didn't mean she couldn't succumb to the Nightmare!

[Wait. You fool, she is still in Ravenheart!]

She was safe.

[What if you killed Song instead!]

That... he didn't wish to imagine.

Cassie's embrace around him tightened, as she noticed his grimaced face.

"Its fine... She would survive. Don't worry, for the moment just stay here. With me."

What?

"Thank you, I needed it." He replied back, slightly eased now.

"Aww... Look at those two! They look like they could ki-" Effie started, causing Jet to cover her mouth to shut her up!

Ofcourse, she understood what she meant. She was trying to calm the moment.

"Sunny, its alright. They are safe now."

Suddenly, the sound of wings flapping was heard again...

Vile Thieving Bird?

No. It was dead.

There was only one another person he could think of, the only person who fucking remembered him!

It was rather a coincidence, he walked past Rain, looked at her shadow—or rather, him—and smiled!

He even remembered his name and well the times they spent together.

It was Steve.

He saw a huge purple dragon appear, somehow making sure the sunlight didn't touch him.

He saw him land, and give them a nod.

"Nephis, Effie, Kai, Jet, Sussie. Its nice to meet you."

He was on a friendly enough level to not refer to titles, but the damn nerve of referin to them as Sussie!

Effie laughed. Nephis, too, joined her.

Then the rest of them.

Even Cassie joined them!

"Sus" Steve teased again.

What the hell did that even mean?

And then, suddenly, the author shoved it's meaning inside his head, causing him to blush.

Cassie stared at him...

Continued staring, causing him to blush more...

And then winked!

"Oh! Oh this is fun!" Effie spoke cheerfully, capping her hands, "I didn't know you as Steve had it in you!"

She was referring to Steve's teasing and Cassie's continued attack!

"I need some popcorn!" Eddie continued, right as Steve used his Transcendent ability and summoned Popcorn!

Oh and a few chairs...

Did Steve know what she was thinking?

He did, after all, do stuff like this frequently... Almost as if he knew what was going to happen!

"Ah look at him... All grown up." Nephis said suddenly.

"Who would have known this pervert would get a Saint as a girlfriend!" Jet said out of nowhere, causing Kai to stare at her with his jaw hanging.

'It was... True?' Kai thought, 'It was going to be a disaster!'

Cassie, who heard it, flinched and looked at Sunny accusingly...

Today either him or Jet had a lot of explaining to do...
