Shadow Slave: The Holy Emperor

I'm making up most, keyword most, of this fanfic on the fly and I found a plot hole and to fix it I needed to change some of the earlier chapters. Mostly the first nightmare when he saw his runes for the first time and at the end of the nightmare/nightmare appraisal. also when he was thinking about the Shadow God's message during chapter 12.

Also, I forgot to give a description for [Traveler] it's a small tongue piercing.

--21 Days Later--

'I can't resist much longer.' Keter started to climb down the great tree as the Dark Sea began to surge. 'Even with the boost I got from being a Demon, which gave me my third thought process. It's just like how becoming a Monster gave me a second one.' Keter reached the ground and began picking up the boat, moving to the island's edge.

'It was overall just a far better version of what I got from becoming a monster, but the only different thing is that I got "Smarter". I can understand things much easier. I was able to progress in my swordsmanship a lot over the last 21 days because it was so much easier to understand Nephis's swordplay.'

'It was a lot more than just being "Smarter" but the only other way I could really describe it is like my thoughts suddenly gained a new "Dimension".' Keter placed the boat down and then walked over to Cassie.

"Cassie, can you summon the rope memory please?" Cassie summons the memory but before she can say anything Keter casts a Miricle to make her fall asleep.

'God I let my thoughts wander too much sometimes.' Keter picked her up and walked towards the boat. Keter gently placed her in the boat and then looked towards Nephis who was walking towards him.

'What are you doing Keter?' Nephis looked at him puzzled as he tied the rope to the boat and then around his torso.

Keter watched as the influence of the Soul Devouring Tree started to turn her aggressive.

"I'm getting ready to leave the island also Aster, Song, Valor.' Keter then continued before she could try to lop his head off. 'Get in the damn boat and I will explain after we leave this damn place.'

Nephis stared at him for a while, her hands shaking and gripping her sword so hard that Keter thought it might crack under the force. Nephis then slowly walked in and sat down next to the sleeping Cassie.

Keter sighed in relief. 'Thank god, I really didn't want to fight Nephis.' As the Dark Sea stopped growing Keter equipped [Traveler] then got in the water and swam.

'I didn't set fire to the tree like Sunny did so whatever's down there shouldn't be as agitated.' Keter swam gently but still quite fast due to Miricle. 'An hour maybe an hour and a half before we are out of its range.' Keter noted. 'And we should make it to the island before Cassie wakes up.' Keter tried his best even using Miricle to make himself as unnoticeable as possible.

--3 1/2 Hours Later--

Keter's breathing was rough as his hand clawed against the side of the island. 'God finally... we made it.' Keter clumsily untied the rope from himself in a hurry. Keter then looked up towards Nephis who had already pulled Cassie's sleeping body onto the island. Nephis pulled Keter's collapsing body up then the boat afterward.

"Sleep... you can explain tomorrow," Nephis said almost hesitantly.

After hearing those words Keter promptly collapsed against the ground.

Short ass chapter I know, but writer's block has slapped me upside the head. For this part atleast.
