Chapter 11: Reckoning of Fire and Will
CHAPTER 11
The creature had begun destroying everything in its path.
Buildings, cars, street lamps, roads... one by one, they vanished.
Its eyes burned with a wild rage, and an ominous grin stretched across its face.
Even the air around it seemed to freeze in its presence.
But Mike... was still inside.
Somewhere within that monstrous form, like a shard of thought clinging to consciousness Mike was still there.
And he was screaming inside:
"Oh God… what's happening to me?! Why can't I control this?! What is this mask doing?! What does it want from people?! Why is it destroying everything for no reason?!"
And in that moment...
The demon's voice echoed.
> "The more destruction it spreads… the stronger it becomes."
"And the stronger it becomes… the more destruction it spreads."
"You can't stop it… not like this."
"You made it stronger. Hahahaha…"
Mike couldn't take it anymore.
His voice trembled, his mind on the verge of collapse.
But then… his eyes began to glow.
A radiant light poured from them pure and powerful.
The creature's face cracked.
From within, Mike's light started to shine through.
Its chest split open, its stomach tore apart
and from inside… something new was born.
Mike… was no longer the same.
He now took the form of something divine.
Wings of white light stretched from his back.
Silver hair danced in the glow, and his eyes still fierce, yet deeply sorrowful.
Those wings rose behind him like a challenge against the darkness.
He broke free from the creature's body.
They faced each other in mid-air.
And in both their eyes, the same thing burned: rage… and history.
Mike took a deep breath.
Then… he spoke:
"Yeah… I know. I didn't choose any of this. They chose me."
"But now… I decide how this ends."
The fight had begun.
Mike threw the first punch straight into the creature's jaw, like a bolt of lightning.
The impact echoed through the sky like thunder.
Before it could stagger back, the creature snarled and slashed across Mike's chest with a vicious claw.
Neither backed down. They didn't retreat. They responded.
Mike, a punch.
The creature, a slap.
The creature, a kick.
Mike, an elbow.
In the air, the battle was relentless fists, flames, fury colliding in every direction.
Then Mike's eyes lit up.
As he spun through the air, blue fire coiled around his arm.
He roared, hurling the flames directly into the creature's face.
For a moment, its head vanished within the blaze screaming, writhing, but never stepping back.
Quite the opposite...
It lunged.
A double kick.
Both feet crashed into Mike's chest midair, sending him flying like a missile across the sky.
He nearly plummeted but at the last second, his wings flared open. He steadied himself.
But the creature had already moved.
It dropped to the street.
Grabbed a car.
And launched it.
Mike narrowed his eyes.
He soared forward, catching the car midair.
His knees buckled, but he held firm.
Then his eyes flashed again.
Blue flames surged in his hands.
The car ignited.
With a deep breath, he hurled the flaming wreck at the creature like a comet.
It hit hard.
The monster slammed into the ground cracking pavement, shattering concrete.
But Mike wasn't finished.
Before touching the ground, he gathered more energy above the street.
Spotted another car.
Engulfed it in blue flame.
And hurled that one too.
Explosions. Screams. Metal crushing metal.
Mike was determined to bring the creature down.
