It had all sorts of applications, was resistant to fire and extremely tough, while not weighing too much.

And as it looked like rope, it was possible to untwine it into thin metallic strands, which woven into cloth would produce the material Elvina had been dreaming about. At least that was what Mira thought, and now she just needed to hear Elivina's opinion.

「These strands…they're way more flexible than I thought… Yes, this should work!」

Elivina examined it for a moment before breaking into a bright smile, which made it obvious she was happy that she had finally found the ideal material.

「I see, I see, that's good then.」

Seeing Elivina so happy also improved Mira's mood, who took out the remainder of the cable she had stored, telling Elivina she was free to take it all.

Elivina was a bit shocked to see how much there was, but she vowed to craft the best gambesons ever and ran out to work in her room. There was quite a lot of that cable, but she carried it all in one go effortlessly, as expected from a Valkyrie.

Barely a moment passed after Elivina left when the sixth sister, Celestina, arrived.

「Yes, of course. What happened?」

Celestina had a strong sense of responsibility, so if she needed advice with something, it had to be some serious issue. Mira did not know whether she could actually help, but at least she would hear Celestina out.

「Master, I've been thinking…」

Celestina began talking, her face pensive like it was something weighing heavily on her mind. But in the end, it was nothing that serious, at least for others. For her, it was a matter of life or death.

Hearing what she said with so much seriousness made Mira tilt her head a little, wondering if it really was such a big deal. It did make some sense at least, especially considering the sisters as a whole.

Basically, Celestina wanted advice to come up with a special move. When Mira asked why she was trying to do something like that in the first place, Celestina explained with a pained expression.

It had all started with something Christina had done recently. That attack Christina had unleashed with the Holy Sword against Machina Guardian had left a strong and defeating impression not just on Celestina, but on all the sisters as a whole.

「I'm still older than her, so I can't just fall behind like this.」

Celestina was the sixth sister, Christina was the seventh, and the two would often spar with each other. Thanks to that, Celestina had been able to closely watch Christina's progress, being there as a mentor.

In her mind, Christina had always been her troublesome younger sister, and Celestina was always the slightly older and stronger sister, standing like a goal and example to be followed.

But that day, Christina had unleashed an attack so powerful it even surpassed the oldest sister Alfina. Afterward, Christina continued to further refine her mana-focusing abilities as well.

That was why Celestina felt like she was falling behind and began getting desperate, longing to have a special attack of her own, which she would be able to display in battle later on, just like Christina.

「But this is my first time trying to come up with a special attack, so I'm not really sure of where to begin or what to do.」

With a downcast voice, she opened a notebook, asking, 「What do you think?」

Inside she had scribbled her ideas for a special move, going as far as to include drawings to express what she meant better. But as her drawing skills were only on par with those of a child, they looked too adorable for anyone to think they were meant as descriptions of a deadly special move.

「Hmm… I see what you mean, I wouldn't really call any of these a special move…」

Mira remembered having something similar as a kid, notes for a special move. Mulling over those old memories, she read through Celestina's notes and gave her opinion.

Everything Celestina had written down and drawn were her ideas of a potential special move, but none could really be seen as such.

But that also correlated to just how much of a skilled fighter she already was.

A sword was the standard weapon for all seven of the Valkyrie Sisters, but they also had the basic skills to use any weapon they wanted. And then there were the weapons each of them specialized on, with Alfina favoring a greatsword, Eletina a bow, Christina a sword and shield, and so on. Their skills shone the most when armed with their weapon of choice.

Celestina was freakishly talented, having mastered most weapons, and on top of that, her weapons were all made from crystalized light, allowing her to freely take them out and put them away in an instant, whenever she wanted. That allowed her to use her talents to their highest potential.

That also led to her notes being split up to cover all the different weapons. But as Mira looked through them, she realized that it looked more like connected attacks, like combos in a fighting game, instead of being a special attack.

Then again, Celestina had put so much effort into those notes that the moves she described were so refined they were almost like an artistic dance.

If she wanted her special move to be more of a rush attack, she had plenty of material there. But that did not get anywhere near close to the blinding sword of light Christina had used before.

「It looks like you lost track of things halfway through.」

Still leafing through the notebook, Mira voiced her thoughts. Celestina had noticed she was focusing on the wrong aspect of attacks halfway through and tried to correct it by switching to single powerful moves instead. But even those simply looked like she was trying to use her arsenal of weapons to recreate what Christina had done. Christina's attack had relied on focusing an immense amount of mana, and by missing that element, Celestina was doomed to remain inferior.

Considering all of that had started because Celestina did not want to fall behind Christina, Mira began to think Celestina's priorities were backwards.

「I just don't know what to do… How do I go around acquiring a special move like that…?」

As Mira closed the notebook, Celestina began to mutter, losing all hope. She had tried asking her sisters as well, and they simply said that it would eventually come to her during training or a fight.

But Celestina had never felt that type of inspiration, so she turned to Mira, feeling like that was her last hope.

(I guess these are the kind of hardships geniuses face…)

That was the impression Mira got, so she just placed a hand on Celestina's shoulder and said, 「Then let's work on it together.」

Usually, such roadblocks could be dispelled by talking about them with someone else, often in unsuspecting ways. And Mira considered herself an expert when it came to special moves. In the past, she had worked on such things together with Solomon and Luminaria, from very practical ones, to plain out ridiculous combos, the memories of which still brought a smile to her face.

「Th-Thank you so much, Master!」

While Mira confidently declared that it would be an easy thing to solve, Celestina felt an immense amount of relief washing over her, and she broke into a smile as she bowed and thanked Mira.
