Notes from the Scholar's Margins:

Gold Eyes are sacred. Some believe they are the final spark of a long-dead god. Others say it's just good breeding and better lies.

Green Eyes hold executive power across every region. No law stands against them.

Blue Eyes are seen as desirable and gifted — often elevated through marriage or service.

Violet Eyes are rare, respected, and quietly feared for their intellect. Said to hear the truth beneath words.

Brown Eyes are numerous, but easily silenced. They fill the barracks and bakeries alike.

Gray Eyes live in the cracks of society. Quiet, invisible. Disposable.

Black Eyes have no legal identity. They are not registered in state records. They are worked until broken, sold in flesh markets, or used in magical experiments. To the Crown, they are not people.

They say this is the natural order. That the Ancients designed the system this way. That magic itself obeys the colors.

But who decided that?

Who declared which eyes are worthy — and which must crawl?

Was it the will of gods?Or the will of men?

And if men made this system…can it be unmade?
