Chapter 1229: Not where one expected

"You're going to send troops?"

That was the first reaction of the delegates when they heard what I said.

Their second reaction was to look at me with looks of doubt.

After all, they didn't believe that I would do something like this without having some kind of ulterior motive. So even though they had technically accomplished what they had set out to do, it didn't seem like they were happy about it.

Even the ones from the Holy Empire and the Tide Empire looked at me with these same doubtful looks.

I just shook my head with a faint smile before saying, "That's what I said. Do you not want them anymore?"

The delegates quickly shook their heads before the one from the Sorcery Empire asked, "Why are you suddenly deciding to send troops? Did something happen?"

The way that he asked this made it seem like he was concerned, but everyone knew that he was asking this for a different reason. After all, if someone suddenly acted in a different way like this, the first thought that came to mind was that something had happened to make them change their mind.

That was why he asked this.

The others all paid attention to what my response would be.

I just calmly said, "The main reason that we didn't send any troops was because we were still recovering from our fight with the detached demon army, right?"

They all slowly nodded in agreement to this.

When they did, I just continued, "Well, now that we've recovered from our losses at the hands of the detached demon army, it's only natural that we would do our part for the human race in this war with the demons."

The way that I said this was as if I cared greatly about the human race, it was just that it didn't seem like any of them believed me.

They looked at me like they wanted to see what my real intentions were.

So in the end, I just said, "I'm not planning on sending troops to where the four empires are fighting."

At this, the delegates from the Sorcery Empire and the Democratic Union couldn't hold themselves back as they said, "If you don't send troops there, then what's the point of sending troops? Right now, the front lines require your troops."

I didn't respond as I simply gave a snap of my finger.

With this snap of my finger, there was a large map that was brought in for the delegates to look at.

When they saw what was marked on the maps, they couldn't help slightly knitting their brows.

After all, it wasn't hard for them to recognize what this map was.

It was a representation of the current status of the war with the demons.

The main battles were marked on the map, but there were other places that were marked as well. These places weren't where the armies of the four empires were, but rather were smaller countries that were considered the strong kingdoms of the human race.

"These are the spots that I want to deploy our troops to."

As I said this, there were several markers that were placed on the map by the ones that brought the map into the room.

When the delegates from the empires saw this, they couldn't help knitting their brows even

more.

That was because the points that I marked on the map were the spots where those smaller countries were currently fighting the demons. They were the places where they were being pushed back by the demons.

These were the spots that the four empires had been planning to help out once the situation of the front line had settled.

In the end, the four empires only cared about their own situation above the other kingdoms. They could say that it was for the best of the human race since they represented the peak of the human race's power. It was just that this wasn't really the truth since they knew that it would be better to start from these kingdoms.

They just couldn't hold on as long as the four empires could.

But to do that would mean sacrificing the power of the four empires...

"No, it's best if we focus on power on the main army of the demons. It's only if we defeat the main army of the demons that we will be able to scatter them."

The delegates of the Sorcery Empire and the Democratic Union didn't seem to take to this idea kindly. They even looked at the Holy Empire and Tide Empire group as if they were pressuring them to go along with this.

However, I didn't let them continue as I said, "It's important that we as the human race come together to finish this war. You already know in your hearts what is the better solution."

The delegates from the two empires immediately knitted their brows and revealed displeased looks. After all, they never thought that a small king like this would talk to them like this. It was just that they couldn't lose their tempers like they would have normally... "Your majesty is correct. Please deploy the troops as soon as you can, we'll make sure to keep the main forces back until you can come with reinforcements." The delegate from the Holy Empire gave an expected answer.

The one from the Tide Empire hesitated a bit before saying with a sigh, "We hope that you will come quickly."

The two delegates from the Sorcery Empire and the Democratic Union had very unhappy looks to hear this, but once again, they didn't get to say anything.

"I'm just informing you on what my plan is. In the end, I'm acting on the good of the human race and these are the troops of my kingdom, so I hope that you understand my thoughts." I said to them in a pointed manner.

The two of them looked even more unhappy, but there was nothing that they could say in the

end.
