Chapter 1232: What’s happening? (2)



With these demons leading the way, it seemed like the explosions that rained down weren't able to stop the advance of the demons.

When the king and generals saw this, all of them had deep frowns on their faces.

They turned back to look at the cloaked figures, but the leader of the cloaked figures once again said, "Just wait."

They couldn't help looking even more anxious when they heard this, but they didn't do anything in the end.

It wasn't that they were afraid, it was just that they knew that they wouldn't be able to do anything if they were to charge out. The only thing that they could do was hope that these cloaked figures had something that could deal with these demons.

But it didn't seem like there was anything that could take these demons down.

The only thing that seemed to change was that there was a mist that appeared. When they saw this mist appeared, they couldn't help knitting their brows even more. After all, the mist was not something that was favourable for them.

Since they were using ranged magic, the mist would only help hide the demons as they charged forward. It would make it easier for the demons to hide themselves to sneak up on those that were currently casting the spells.

They really wanted to go down and protect the ones that were casting the spells, but they were stopped still.

The demons also recognized the usefulness of the mist, so they started heading towards the mist.

Only the moment that they entered the mist...

"Ah!"

There were screams of pain that suddenly rang out as smoke started coming from the demons.

There were confused and scared looks that appeared on the faces of the demons as they had no idea what was happening. All they knew was that the dark corruption energy was being burnt away by something.

They had no idea just what it was that was burning away the dark corruption energy from their bodies, but they knew that there was something that was slowly burning it away.

After a moment of hesitation, the demon wanted to turn around to run since they knew that staying here was dangerous.

It was just that they didn't get the chance to do that.

During this time, there had been no spells that flew out at them,

But when they turned to run, the spells came right at them.

The demons raised their weapons and gathered their dark corruption energy as if they wanted to block these spells, but they found that they just couldn't do it at all. The more that they

tried to gather their dark corruption energy, the more that they found that there was something that seemed to be stopping them.

It was as if there was something that was even stopping the flow of dark corruption energy inside of their bodies.

In the end, they just couldn't do anything other than using their weapons to try and block these spells. Only the power of these spells were just too much for the demons to block with their weapons alone.

They were hit with these spells and were ripped apart by the power of these explosions.

The different parts of their bodies that had been ripped apart fell to the ground, but it wasn't as if that was the end of them.

After a few seconds, there were dark tendrils that came out of the different scattered parts of these demons. Even if there was smoke coming from these tendrils because they were being purified, they were still able to reach towards each other.

That was until more spells came at them.

These spells exploded right on the different parts of the demons and scattered the tendrils that were coming out. There were pieces that flew away and started to disappear as they turned into smoke.

The rest of the parts gathered back in the pieces of the demons that they came from.

It seemed that they were still trying to group up with each other, but they weren't able to do anything as more spells flew at them.

It seemed that as long as they tried to recover, the spells would fly out at them to stop them from combining with each other.

At the same time, there was something that was purifying the dark corruption energy of the demons.

"What is happening?" The king of the Poppin Kingdom asked in a shocked voice.

The generals all had the same look of shock on their faces.

After all, they had never heard of anything that was able to deal with these demons.

But in front of them, they could see that whatever was happening was effectively taking care of these demons. It even seemed that if this lasted long enough, the demons would actually

die.

The immortal demons that had caused them all that trouble were actually going to be taken care of.

However, it was never that easy.

After all, there were still other demons that were there.

The other demons that had been hiding behind the demons with the corruption energy started to move as if they had been called by something. Even though they could see the danger of approaching the demons with corruption energy, it didn't seem like they cared.

It seemed that all they cared about was saving those demons with corruption energy. The king and generals wanted to move once more, but the leader of the cloaked figure said, "Wait, it's not your turn yet. If you go now, all that will happen is that you'll get caught in the crossfire."

"You have more magicians?" The king asked, but the cloaked figure shook their head in

response.

As if responding to the question of the king, there were roars that came from the sky.

When they looked up, they found that there were large shadows that came from the sky. Then before they could react to these large shadows, there were flames that suddenly fell down.
