Once we sent the message to the various countries, it didn't take long for their representatives to arrive.

Perhaps they wouldn't have come if it was someone else that sent the message, but they appeared right away when it was us that sent the message to them.

When the holy knights and priests arrived, the first thing that they did was bow to me.

As for the rest of the countries, they came because they thought that it was something to do with the corruption energy. So when they found out that it was just the demi humans, it seemed like they were a bit disappointed.

However, it wasn't as if they weren't curious as to why there were demi humans here.

"We'er here to discuss the matter of sending aid to the demi human island. The Mofu Mofu Kingdom has requested aid from the racial alliance because there's an epidemic that is currently raging inside of their territory."

The representatives from the different countries were all surprised.

It wasn't that they didn't know about the demi humans. The demi humans were something that everyone knew about because of the island that they enjoyed to themselves.

It would be a lie to say that there weren't some countries that had once thought about invading and taking that territory from them. So many of them were surprised that the demi humans were now asking them for aid.

However, it wasn't as if this was something that they could decide that easily.

Especially since they hadn't heard it from the demi humans themselves.

I had been the one leading the meeting since I was the one that had called all of them here and called this meeting. Until they heard it from the demi humans themselves, they wouldn't make their stances known.

Seeing that everyone was looking at her, Choocola came forward to say, "Yes, our Mofu Mofu Kingdom is officially requesting aid from the racial alliance."

She turned to look at the gnome representative and the mermaid representative that came before saying, "In particular, we are seeking the help of the gnomes and the mermaids. After all, the gnomes are known for their prowess in alchemy and the sea witches under the sea are known for their strange abilities."

Everyone nodded in agreement with looks of understanding when they heard this.

After all, everything that Chocola had said was correct.

There was a reason that these two races were known for this, it was because they had things that they did that no one else could and they did it very well.

In particular, the ability of these two races would be very helpful in dealing with an epidemic.

But after she said this, Chocola also added, "Of course, we're also looking to receive resources as aid from the other races."

She looked a bit embarrassed, but she still said, "Because of the epidemic, there has also been a food shortage in the Mofu Mofu Kingdom, so we hope that you will be able to help alleviate this with food supplies."

When she was done, there wasn't a single person that said anything.

"What do you have to offer in return for this?"

Deals between countries were things that were created because of convenience. Different countries had different needs and different resources that they possessed, these deals were ways for them to get the things that they needed.

If the Mofu Mofu Kingdom wanted aid, it wasn't as if they would receive it for free.

There was no country that would go out of their way to help another country for nothing.

They might do it if there was some kind of publicity that went with it, but there really wasn't anything to gain since the demi humans sealed themselves off.

Chocola and the rest of the demi humans also understood this, so she said, "We are hoping to join the racial alliance. We have heard about all the things that have been happening on the continent and we believe that these things are a threat to everyone. As such, we believe that it is best if the demi humans work together with the rest of the races against them."

People looked a bit moved when they heard this.

After all, the demi humans had the second highest population after the humans.

There was a reason why they had been able to keep that island to themselves all this time, they certainly weren't a weak enough race that the other races thought about invading them.

But this was just the appetizer.

"At the same time, we will be opening trade routes in the villages by the coast. We hope to be able to trade the resources of our Mofu Mofu Kingdom with the rest of the world. We realize that completely isolating ourselves has caused us to fall into this situation, so we want to have more contact with the rest of the world."

Though she put a positive spin on this, it was clear that this was nothing more than bait for the other races.

They wanted the resources of the demi humans and she was offering it to them.

Of course, they knew that this wasn't just bait. They knew that this was the official stance of the demi humans or else Chocola wouldn't be able to say this in front of everyone like this.

Once this was mentioned, it really seemed like everyone was much more in favour of helping the demi humans.

That was the first step.
