Shut Up Dragon! I Don't Want To Have Children With You Anymore

Chapter 108: Chapter 108: Watching a Ballet

Rossweise transformed back into her human form—

To be honest, this was the first time she didn't really want to change back, because in her dragon form, no one could tell that she and Leon were wearing couple outfits.

Leon's face was also flushed red.

Having grown up, he had never worn a couple's outfit with any girl before—oh wait, the premise of wearing couple outfits is to have a partner, and Leon had been single for the first 22 years of his life.

The married couple looked at each other and then walked into the Sky City together, beginning their first...

Date after marriage!

———

[First Activity of the Date: Watching a Ballet Performance]

The couple arrived at the ticket counter of a theater.

Due to venue limitations and the nature of the performance, ballet shows were typically limited to three or four shows per day.

And the couple's dating time was only this one day.

So, for this first activity, the plan was simple: catch whichever show was next.

The ticket seller noticed their matching outfits and smiled, asking,"Are you two in a romantic relationship?"

Leon and Rossweise exchanged a glance, sighed simultaneously, and reluctantly nodded.

"Alright, I'll arrange a couple's seating for you two; the ticket price remains unchanged."

Leon blinked, "It's just a ballet; do you really need separate couple seating and regular seating?"

"Yes, it's a thoughtful new service offered by our theater."

Leon forced a smile and muttered, "Oh, how thoughtful of you."

After buying the tickets, they had about half an hour before the show started.

The two sat quietly on a bench outside the theater, waiting.

The square outside the theater was open to the public for free, and some elderly people and children were there feeding pigeons.

Leon and Rossweise sat side by side on the bench, and occasionally, a few pigeons would come over looking for food.

Unfortunately, neither of them had any biscuits or bread in their pockets.

Seeing they couldn't get any food, the pigeons cooed twice, flapped their wings, and flew away.

Leon's gaze followed the pigeons as they dispersed, and he unintentionally noticed an ice cream stand nearby.

He turned his head to Rossweise, who was sitting beside him.

She was sitting with her head lowered, her mouth hidden behind the collar of her hoodie, hands tucked into her pockets. She stretched her long legs, tapping her shoe tips together and apart again, entertaining herself quite contentedly.

"Want some ice cream?" Leon asked.

A pause.

A nod.

"What flavor?"

"Anything's fine."

Leon's thoughts stirred. "How about cilantro flavor?"

Rossweise glared at him. "Carrot flavor, then."

Leon chuckled and got up to go to the ice cream stand.

While paying, Leon's peripheral vision caught sight of something in the bushes nearby.

He hesitated for a moment, quickly averted his eyes, and murmured softly, "Your disguise skills need improvement, huh."

'But hiding near the ice cream stand on purpose? What's your ulterior motive, little spies?'

Leon returned with two ice creams and handed them to Rossweise. "I got strawberry and banana flavors. Which one do you want?"

"I want orange flavor," Rossweise tried to make things difficult.

Unexpectedly, Leon anticipated her little scheme and handed her an orange-flavored ice cream. "Here, orange for you."

Rossweise froze for a moment, raised her eyes, blinked her bright eyes, and fluttered her long lashes. "Didn't you say you only bought strawberry and banana flavors?"

Leon shrugged. "Just teasing you. I knew you'd want orange."

Rossweise clicked her tongue and took the orange ice cream.

"Let's head inside and eat as we go," Leon suggested.

"There are still twenty minutes left."

"Yeah, but the assistant director probably can't wait twenty minutes."

"Huh?"

Leon didn't explain further. He took Rossweise's arm, and though she was startled, nearly dropping her ice cream, she allowed herself to be led inside.

Behind them, three figures emerged from the bushes near the ice cream stand.

Anna dusted off the leaves on the two little princesses and straightened her outfit.

"Anna, Anna, I want ice cream too!" one of them said, pointing at the stand with sparkling eyes.

Anna nodded and led them to the stand. "Three ice creams, please."

Never underestimate a father's instinct for his daughters.

The director's team chose this spot for observation not only because it offered a good vantage point but also because they could grab ice cream while they were at it.

.

.

.

Leon and Rossweise entered the theater, and as they took their seats, other audience members gradually filed in.

Leon noticed that the couple seats and regular seats were indeed separated into different zones. However, he still didn't understand the point of such a distinction.

Even for the sake of accommodating some rare oviparous families, it didn't seem necessary.

Oh well, dragon culture was always a bit incomprehensible.

Leon cleared his mind and quietly waited for the performance to begin.

"This play is called The Albatross' Sunset Sonata," Rossweise said.

Leon glanced at the ticket stub in his hand and replied, "Yeah, I can read."

"It's about two people who accidentally got married but initially had no feelings for each other. Over time, they came to understand each other and eventually opened their hearts and fell in love," she explained.

Leon pursed his lips and adjusted his posture.

'Why did that sound suspiciously like my life?'

Though he had already grasped how much this play mirrored his reality, he pretended to remain calm. "Oh, sounds good."

After pausing for a moment, he asked again, "Hey, have you seen this before?"

Rossweise shook her head, "I just read the original novel of this play."

"Novel?"

Leon thought of last night when he and Rossweise stayed up late making date plans and came across a few romance novels, one of which was also about an albatross.

"Is it the one we saw last night?"

"No, but it's by the same author."

Leon gave a faint "oh" and joked, "This author seems to really like albatrosses."

"Because in the life of an albatross, it only has one mate. This is very much in line with the marital relationship of dragon clans, so many authors often use albatrosses to represent unwavering love."

Rossweise explained unhurriedly, "This is the last part of the author's Albatross Trilogy, a culmination of their work. Because of its outstanding content, it was adapted into the play we are about to watch."

Leon stared blankly at Rossweise's profile.

When she explained these things, it was like she knew them by heart and spoke in great detail, completely unlike her usual concise way of talking with Leon.

It was clear that she genuinely liked these forms of art.

This was something Leon hadn't truly realized before.

"Have you ever seen plays or operas like this before?" Rossweise asked, turning to him.

Leon quickly averted his eyes, "Uh… no, not really."

"Well, if there's anything you don't understand later, you can ask me, and I'll tell you."

"So kind?"

Rossweise glanced at him indifferently, "I'm just worried that if our daughter asks about it after we get home, and you know nothing, the date will seem too fake."

Leon shrugged, "OK."

Ten minutes later, the performance began.

The first act was a wedding, romantic and luxurious, capturing the attention of the audience.

Plays are a comprehensive art form that integrates music, drama, literature, dance, and stage design.

In addition to its twists and turns and captivating plot, the singing and dancing skills of the actors can also add color to a play.

Leon didn't have much artistic sensitivity, so his focus was mostly on the plot.

Since it was a play adapted from a romance novel, some parts inevitably felt a bit cheesy when performed.

Leon held back his urge to complain, as Rossweise seemed quite engrossed, and he didn't want to disturb her mood.

In the final act, just as Rossweise had said, after various trials and tribulations, the lovers ended up together. In the sunset, the male protagonist proposed to the female protagonist.

Touching music played, and the heartfelt lines made listeners tear up—

This wasn't an exaggeration; Leon noticed a few young women in the front row actually wiping away tears.

Leon exhaled and couldn't hold back his complaint, "I'd never propose like that, way too cheesy."

Surprisingly, Rossweise nodded in agreement, "Yeah, in the original novel, this part was very romantic and beautiful, but using a play to portray it makes it seem a bit too exaggerated. But overall, it's still an excellent piece."

Leon half-understood and nodded, "True."

After a moment, Rossweise added, "Anyway, if it were me, I wouldn't accept a proposal in such an environment either. It's indeed a bit pretentious."

The couple unexpectedly reached another tacit agreement.

Fortunately, this was the final scene of the play.

A proposal, a hug, and then the actors came out to take their bows.

Applause rang out from the audience, recognizing the actors' performances.

Rossweise put down her crossed long legs, "Alright, let's go to the next date activity."

"Alright."

"Please wait! Everyone, especially those in the couple seats, please wait."

Suddenly, the host on the stage, holding a microphone, said enthusiastically, "After the main play ends, our theater has specially prepared a bonus scene. It won't take too much of your time, no more than ten minutes. Those interested, please stay and watch."

Hearing this, the audience who had stood up to leave sat back down.

"A bonus scene? What's it about?" Leon asked.

Before Rossweise could shake her head to show her confusion, the lights in the entire venue suddenly dimmed, leaving only a single spotlight on the host.

The host stood under the spotlight, raising his right hand high, "We will use this spotlight to select one couple from the couple seats to come on stage and reenact the final scene just now. What do you all think?"

"Wow, what an interesting bonus scene. Glad we didn't leave!"

"There's even an interactive segment. I would've chosen couple seats if I knew."

"..."

Leon froze in place,'So that's why they specifically separated the couple seats and the regular seats?'

'Wait, now is not the time to complain.'

Leon's mind sounded an alarm.
