Chapter 465: Chapter 459.

Chapter 459.

At this moment, Bibi Dong's sharp gaze flashed with understanding.

"You mean the death of the humanoid soul beast enraged the two hundred-thousand-year-old soul beasts — the Titan Giant Ape and the Azure Sky Bull Python?" she asked, her voice tinged with curiosity.

"After witnessing their companion's death, they turned on the Star Five-Headed Dragon and the Headless Beast instead? And you weren't their first target?"

"Exactly," Wang Feng nodded slightly, acknowledging Bibi Dong's quick deduction. "The Star Five-Headed Dragon had already lost three of its heads from my attacks, suffering severe injuries. When the two soul beasts attacked it, it was killed on the spot. Afterward, they went after the Headless Beast. I don't know what happened next, but they certainly clashed."

"I was merely left exhausted in the aftermath."

Wang Feng's account was plausible, and with Ghost Douluo pursuing Tang San, Xiao Wu, and the others, there would undoubtedly be some confirmation of the events. Bibi Dong was likely aware of the circumstances through him.

–By sharing part of the truth, Wang Feng avoided unnecessary suspicion. Concealing too much would only provoke doubt.

The gathered Titled Douluos, upon hearing this logical sequence of events, nodded in acceptance. It made perfect sense. There was nothing to question.

"After the two soul beasts left, I recovered my strength on the spot. With great effort, I managed to finish off the dying Star Five-Headed Dragon," Wang Feng continued. "I then absorbed its hundred-thousand-year old soul ring, which granted my second martial soul additional power."

As he spoke, Wang Feng summoned the Cloud Flag. Before their astonished eyes, the headless beast was drawn into the flag with a force that left no room for resistance.

"This is my Flag Martial Soul," Wang Feng explained calmly. "It possesses the ability to store soul beasts."

He maintained a composed demeanor, as though everything had unfolded naturally, without exaggeration or pride.

"After acquiring this ability, I wondered if I could bring a soul beast back. While searching, I found the Headless Beast, gravely wounded by the Titan Giant Ape and the Azure Sky Bull Python. It was unable to resist, so I subdued it and brought it here."

Wang Feng's tone remained steady, as though relaying a matter of fact.

But to the onlookers, every word struck them with disbelief.

He had not only absorbed a hundred-thousand-year soul ring, gaining a formidable new ability, but he had also successfully captured a severely wounded Headless Beast and brought it back.

For any other Titled Douluo, such a feat would be impossible. Yet Wang Feng had done it.

And most importantly, there was no reason to doubt him.

The proof was undeniable. Wang Feng's second martial soul had clearly evolved, and the displayed abilities of the Cloud Flag validated his claims. Every word he spoke was rooted in undeniable truth.

Even Bibi Dong, with her perceptive mind, could find no inconsistencies.

Of course, Wang Feng had intentionally omitted one significant detail — the true nature of the Innate Treasure Five Flags. Each flag possessed distinct powers, a fact he –carefully concealed. The existence of the flags, along with the absorption of the hundred-thousand-year soul ring, could easily be justified. After all, any martial soul that absorbed such a powerful soul ring would undoubtedly undergo noticeable changes. Without visible enhancements, suspicion would naturally arise.

"However," Wang Feng added with a note of restraint, "this ability can only absorb a single hundred-thousand-year soul beast for now, and the energy consumption is immense. That's why it took me ten days to return to Soul City."

He spoke the truth once again. The act of maintaining the Headless Beast within the flag severely depleted his mental power. Even with his formidable resilience, the effort was exhausting. Every step back to the city had been taxing, requiring frequent rest. Without that limitation, the journey would have been significantly shorter.

"Excellent! Excellent!"

Bibi Dong's voice rang with admiration. A genuine smile of satisfaction spread across her face.

"Though the original plan failed, you bringing back a hundred-thousand-year soul beast is an exceptional accomplishment, Wang Wu. Your contribution to the Soul Hall is nothing short of outstanding!"

Bibi Dong felt that her admiration for Wang Wu had reached its peak.

This was a man capable of creating miracles!

And fortunately, such a person belonged to the Soul Hall.

A sense of relief washed over her as she thought about it. Though Wang Feng had escaped her grasp once, Wang Wu's sudden emergence had more than made up for that. His actions brought her immense satisfaction.

But what mattered the –most was his unwavering loyalty to the Soul Hall — and to her.

This wasn't just any soul beast.

It was a one-hundred-thousand-year soul beast.

With the ability to capture and contain such a powerful creature, Wang Wu could have easily kept it for himself or vanished without a trace. It would have been entirely within his power to take advantage of the situation.

But he returned.

He brought the soul beast back.

And what stood out even more was the fact that Wang Wu had set his goal from the very beginning — to retrieve a one-hundred-thousand-year soul beast for her. The circumstances may have changed, and the specific beast –he brought back was not the one he initially pursued, but his intentions had never wavered.

This proved one thing:

From start to finish, Wang Wu had been focused on fulfilling her mission. His desire to bring prosperity and strength to the Soul Hall was unwavering.

His mindset was impeccable. And more importantly, he had the power to achieve it.

"Wang Feng may have disrupted my plans, but even he could never have predicted this."

A cold smirk spread across Bibi Dong's face.

Phantom Death Douluo had returned, albeit severely injured and nearly devoid of strength. His cultivation had been crippled, but at least he had survived. Through him, she had confirmed that Wang Feng had indeed made an appearance.

The battle between Phantom Death Douluo and Wang Feng had been fierce — so much so that Phantom Death Douluo barely escaped with his life.

If not for that, the humanoid soul beast would likely be standing in the Soul Hall right now.

When Bibi Dong received the news, her rage had been unimaginable.

Despite all her meticulous planning, despite predicting Wang Feng's interference, she had never foreseen that he would possess enough power to defeat Phantom Death Douluo.

It was an infuriating realization.

The bitter thought gnawed at her, a testament to the frustration she could not shake.

But now, Bibi Dong thought to herself, if Wang Feng were aware of this outcome, he would likely sigh. After all, the greatest beneficiaries of this mission were still the Soul Hall and Supreme Pontiff.

Moreover, based on Phantom Death Douluo's report, Tang San had been gravely injured and was barely clinging to life.

The more Bibi Dong reflected on –this, the happier she felt.

It had been years since she experienced such joy.

All the frustration she had accumulated from Wang Feng's repeated disruptions vanished.

She felt liberated.

As her gaze lingered on Wang Wu, the satisfaction in her heart grew. The more she observed him, the more content she became.

Then, her eyes shifted to Hu Liena standing beside him. A sudden thought struck her, and she sighed internally:

"Nana is still not worthy of Wang Wu."

Even though Hu Liena was the most talented disciple of the Spirit Hall, her personal protégé, and possessed both exceptional beauty and intellect, she still paled in comparison to Wang Wu.

This man was extraordinary.

His strength, intelligence, composure, and determination were unparalleled. Even Bibi Dong, with all her knowledge and experience, could not find a single flaw in him.

He was simply perfect.

"However, keeping this hundred-thousand-year soul beast contained for too long will undoubtedly burden the White Pontiff," Bibi Dong remarked, her tone tinged with contemplation. Her sharp gaze lingered on the subdued beast, flickering with intrigue.

"Falling Devil and Fifteen Ton," she commanded, her voice firm, "you two will guard it without fail. Trap it behind the hill of the Supreme Pontiff's Palace, and let no one set foot there."

Her orders were absolute.

Then, turning her attention back to Wang Wu, Bibi Dong's eyes gleamed with significance.

"Wang Wu, come with me. I have important matters to discuss with you."

Wang Feng's heart skipped a beat.

Was she planning to tell him about the Rakshasa Secret Realm?
