Chapter 747: 745: Over Fifty Thousand?! (Bonus Chapter)
The sudden appearance of multiple Tier 6s above them.
The massive shift in luck around the world.
And the sudden reduction in his luck.
These three things occuring so suddenly was a shock to Corey, and he was stunned for a fraction of a second before his expression twisted in pain.
He felt a sharp stinging pain erupt across his left arm, and Corey was forced to look at his left arm.
The pain was so intense that he felt it across his entire body and even his Cosmic Soul.
It was like somebody pierced and was twisting a knife into his soul, and if not for his high pain resistance and experiences in his Tribulations of Hell, he would have screamed out loud while holding his head in pain.
Pamela noticed Corey's behaviour and expression, and when she saw Corey looking at his left arm, she instinctively wanted to look, but the runes furiously warned her not to.
Without hesitation, she looked away, but a stunned expression could be seen on her face.
'When was the last time the runes warned me this furiously?... I think this is the biggest warning I've ever received from them.'
Pamela looked at Corey while making sure she did not look at his left arm.
'I knew he was hiding so many secrets... But how heavy are the secrets within him?... Are they heavier than mine?'
What Pamela did not know was that the reason why she was warned so furiously by the runes was because of what she was.
A Runesage.
Other individuals like Rosa and Selene would not see anything if they were to stare at Corey's left arm.
The bloodline of sin appeared in the form of a tattoo on Corey's left arm, and from Corey's past experiments, he was the only one that could see the tattoo.
The tattoo were actually countless runes, and when Corey was in the Shattered Dimension of the Old Ones, his interest in the Rune Tattoos was partly because of his Bloodline of Sin.
His Bloodline of Sin was currently active, and if a Runesage like Pamela should take a look at his arm, they would see far more than what they were meant to see.
For Pamela who was still a mere Tier 4, she could not handle such a thing as the runes of the Bloodline of Sin.
In its inactive state, it was safe for her because she would not see anything or would barely see a thing on Corey's arm.
As for Corey, he was already getting used to the pain and luckily for him, the pain was also subsiding with every second that passed.
After three seconds, the pain was bearable for him and he exhaled deeply while looking at his left arm.
'My bloodline of sin?'
Corey could feel his luck rapidly draining from his body along with his attention being drawn to another direction.
He could fight it, but doing so would be foolish on his part. Not after he checked his current luck.
Luck: 73,826.92 -> 22, 311
Over fifty thousand luck!
Over fifty thousand luck was deducted from his total amount of luck, and Corey could not believe it at all.
It felt so surreal to him because a part of him felt like he had way too much luck, and it would take a long time before he used it all.
The highest amount of luck that had ever been deducted from his total luck was just around six hundred (600), but now, over fifty thousand luck was deducted from his luck.
The amount was so mind-boggling to the point that Corey could not help but wonder what immense opportunity was being provided to him by the heavens.
He looked in the direction the heavens was pointing at, and when he did, he saw nothing.
He looked to his south but he saw nothing. The only thing he saw were the massive roaring waves on the black sea and a thick white fog in the far off distance.
'Wait... Fog?'
Corey narrowed his eyes, and then he increased the output of his Eyes of Omniscience.
When he did, he then saw something.
He saw the white fog slowly transforming into a black fog, and the moment he saw the black fog and remembered where they were, a memory he could not forget resurfaced in his mind.
'The black sea... Black fog... The titan carrying coffin.'
The moment Corey had this thought, his mind instantly went to the coffin he recalled the titanic abomination carrying.
Corey's eyes glowed. 'That was not normal. I have a nigh-perfect if not perfect control over my mind... I was not thinking about the coffin but the titan...'
'The heavens want me to focus on the coffin?'
Corey furrowed his brows, and his pure white eyes glowed so bright to the point that it attracted the attention of several people.
Corey knew this, but he didn't care. He could feel his luck urging him to check out the coffin, and after losing so much luck, he was definitely not going to ignore it.
Although the titanic abomination was kilometers away from the island, with his vast amount of mana, spiritual, and mental energy, he could increase the range of his vision to the titanic abomination.
The titanic abomination was the same as the first time he encountered it.
It had three faces with all of its eyes closed, a massive mouth on its stomach that spewed out black corrosive fog, a tentacle right hand, and massive chains around its chest.
This was what Corey saw the first time he encountered the abomination.
But this time around, he noticed several things he could not see in the past.
The first was that the creature actually had four faces, not just three.
It had a face behind the front face, but this face had been destroyed.
The face was completely burnt and black, and the more Corey observed it, the more he noticed that the face had not been burnt and destroyed by flames, but by lightning.
He could see extremely tiny bolts of lightning running across the entire burnt and destroyed face.
And this tiny bolts of lightning contained an unfathomable amount of energy and power to the point that Corey felt like a single tiny bolt could turn him to ash.
Also, on the titanic abomination's back was a large and deep cut that spewed out black corrosive fog.
Although Corey was searching for the coffin, observing the titanic abomination made him realize something that was extremely terrifying about the abomination.
'That thing... Is way above the level of a Tier 6.'
