Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 765: 762: Investigate

The Pope of the Temple of Flames, Pope Arzhel.

He was one of the Tier 6s amongst the Outsiders, and his battle prowess was not low at all.

In fact, it was high, very high.

But most of the Outsiders here had no idea about this. Most considered the battle prowess of the Pope to be similar to the battle prowess of the Popes of the other Temples, but they had no idea that they were very wrong.

Although they knew that the Pope was an odd one because he was the only Pope amongst the three Popes that chose to come to the Underworld.

Other Popes would choose to stay in their Temples where they could be closer to their gods, but Pope Arzhel was different.

He decided to leave the Temple of Flames, and decided to live on Planet New Earth.

His actions and decisions had baffled those who knew of this and were interested in the enigmatic Pope.

Some tried to guess what his goals and plans were, but they found nothing.

During the battle against the Titanic Abomination, the Temple of Flames were one of the few organizations that did not lose a single member.

The Pope had warned the members of the Temple of Flames to attack the Titanic Abomination from afar, and not get too close to it.

He said this out of pure suspicion, caution, and also experience.

Experience that most around him did not have.

And fortunately for the members of the Temple of Flames, their leader's advice turned out to be right.

The Titanic Abomination had no skill except for the corrosive fog of wraiths and its immense physical strength.

Just a swing of its arm was enough to cause shockwaves that could shatter the bones of a Tier 5.

And because of the lack of information and greed of some Outsiders, they died to the attack of the Titanic Abomination.

Some might have thought that the power of the Titanic Abomination would lead to the deaths of every Outsider, but the Outsiders were no pushovers.

Each of them, especially the Chosens of Empires had powerful artifacts and weapons.

And one of these artifacts was the reason for the large cut on the Titanic Abomination's body.

The artifact contained one of the skills of a Tier 7, and if not for the artifact, they would not have been able to cause such an injury on the Titanic Abomination.

As for the severed arm, that was a result of the combined power of thirteen Tier 6s and a Violet grade sword.

The resulting attack drained the mana reserves of the Thirteen Tier 6s, and they were stunned and in full disbelief when the result of the attack was not the death of the Titanic Abomination, but the loss of just one arm.

Pope Arzhel had been watching all of these and he had his suspicions regarding the Titanic Abomination as he observed the battle while sending out attacks that were powerful but used little quantities of mana.

Tessa Liora stood by his right with two swords in her hands, and a sharp and cold light in her eyes.

Pope Arzhel looked at her, "Tessa."

She looked at the Pope.

"Those chains... Find where they lead to. I'm more interested in those chains than the abomination itself."

Tessa Liora remained silent for some seconds, and then she nodded.

Golden reptilian slits appeared in her eyes, and she looked at the massive chains on the Titanic Abomination's chest.

Her head moved as she trailed the chains, and then her gaze landed in the direction of the coffin.

She frowned slightly.

"What is it?" The Pope asked with a raised brow.

"I can't see the end of the chains... They stretch down into the depths of the Black Sea. But whenever I try to follow them to their end, I see nothing... nothing but more chains."

Pope Arzhel tilted his head slightly with a baffled expression.

"So at the end of the chains... Is more chains?"

Tessa Liora nodded, "Yes."

Pope Arzhel's lips twitched, "Then what is wrong with that?"

"Because I can see that there's something that's meant to be at the end of the chains... It's like the chains are binding an object, but I can't see the object... My vision is distorted."

This time around, Pope Arzhel looked in the direction of the coffin.

He tried to see the end of the Black Sea, but he could not. His eyes were not as powerful as Tessa's.

'Tessa has the eyes of a True Dragon, and her eyes allows her to see through illusions. Even powerful ones that are done by Tier 7s. But she can't see through an illusion underwater?'

'What could be underneath the Black Sea?'

'I've always found the Black Sea to be one of the most mysterious places on New Earth, but this?... I have a feeling that this abomination, the chains, and what is below is something far beyond my imagination.'

"Go and investigate."

Tessa Liora nodded, and then she vanished by teleporting above the location of the coffin.

Her eyes emitted a bright golden glow as she tried to peer through the 'illusion'.

Golden blood fell from the corner of her eyes as she slowly removed the 'illusion' and was beginning to see a faint outline of the coffin.

Despite the blood streaming down her face, she was extremely persistent as she continued to peer through the 'illusion'.

Time slowly passed, and approximately five minutes later, she saw it.

The bronze coffin along with the numerous spatial cracks around it.

The moment she saw the coffin, a sharp pain suddenly emerged in her eyes and mind, and a slight scream escaped her lips.

She covered her eyes while gritting her teeth, and after a minute, the pain eased to a considerable level for her.

She looked down once again, but to her surprise, she saw a figure floating in front of the coffin.

She tried looking at the face of the figure, but her eyes were weakened and she could not see as well as she used to.

In fact, her gaze was slightly blurry.

A contemplative expression appeared on her face, and then she saw him exchanging places with an aquatic beast which was later cut in two by a spatial crack.

When she saw the figure climbing up to the surface of the Black Sea, she was stunned and also awed at the same time.

And then she waited.

Waited to see this strange figure.

And the moment Corey appeared above the Black Sea, she could not help but speak in surprise.

"So it's you."
