Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

It all happened so suddenly.

At first, Corey was standing on top of the Black Sea with his focus entirely on Tessa.

But in the next fraction of a second, he saw a translucent fist appear five meters in front of him, and his eyes could not help but widen in disbelief.

Not only had the translucent fist appeared out of nowhere, its speed was extremely fast as it descended on Corey.

The fastest thing Corey could do was to instantly create multiple hexagon barriers in front of him while crossing his arms to protect his body.

BANG!

SPLASH!

A muffled groan escaped Corey's lips as his hexagon barriers were shattered into pieces while his body was slammed into the Black Sea.

Bubbles escaped Corey's mouth as the water from the Black Sea entered his opened mouth.

In less than two seconds, Corey created a platform of hexagon barriers below him, and with a cold gaze, he placed his hand on the platform and stood.

He looked up and was about to jump out of the Black Sea, but his eyes widened when he saw another translucent hand appear around him in the Black Sea.

This time around, the translucent hand was not a fist. Instead, it looked like it wanted to grab him.

Without hesitation, Corey jumped out of the Black Sea, dodging the translucent hand.

As Corey jumped out of the Black Sea, he approached Tessa who stood with a light smile of disdain on her lips despite approaching at a speed that would allow him to reach in less than three seconds.

"Go back to where you belong."

A derisive laugh drifted into his ears as Corey watched Tessa slap her palm downward in his direction.

Corey narrowed his eyes, and just as he expected, he saw another translucent hand appear approximately five meters in front of him.

He could sense that the power behind the power of this translucent hand was stronger than the others, and he could accurately guess why.

'She can create these translucent hands without moving... But when she moves, the force behind the translucent hands increases.'

'When she doesn't move, the force behind the translucent hands is strong, but not strong enough to cause severe damage to my body... It's the type of translucent hand created by her movement that I have to be careful of.'

'... But what sort of ability is this?... Telekinesis?... Psychokinesis?... Is there even a difference between the two?'

'... If I didn't have my Eyes of Omniscience or a skill that can allow me to see or sense the translucent hands, I'd have been in serious trouble.'

'Hmm... I think I have a way of dealing with the hands... Let's see if it'll work.'

Despite having so many thoughts, barely a second had passed.

With a cold expression on his face, he created an axe made out of his Phantom Plague Axe Intent and continued his ascent towards Tessa.

Just as he was an arm's length from reaching the descending translucent hand, the hand suddenly vanished and Corey frowned.

In less than a fraction of a second, he saw Tessa slamming her palms together in a praying manner.

'Shi-!'

He cursed inwardly, and with a cold light flashing in his eyes, he created multiple hexagon platforms in front of him.

He quickly stepped on one, and in the blink of a Tier 5's eye, he moved in a zig zag manner in the sky.

BAM!

CLAP!

The moment he did this, the two translucent hands slammed into one another, and a powerful shockwave exploded from the two translucent hands.

The shockwave was powerful enough to blow Corey away from his previous position, causing Corey to click his tongue in annoyance.

Corey stabilized himself on top of a long and wide platform of hexagon barriers. Without wasting a single second, he created a slopy road made out of hexagon barriers that was directed at Tessa.

He began running on it while executing Lightning Movement Art, causing his speed to increase drastically.

With the same light smile of mockery, Tessa launched a kick at Corey, and Corey's eyes flashed in surprise when he saw a translucent leg also kicking at him.

'So she can create that too... Interesting.'

Without having a change in his expression, Corey did not bother dodging.

A translucent axe made out of his Phantom Plague Axe Intent appeared in his right hand, and Corey threw it at the incoming translucent leg.

Tessa's eyes widened slightly, and just as Corey's axe was about to touch the translucent leg, the translucent leg vanished.

'So she knows that my Intent would cause serious injuries to her. Is it information or intuition?'

Clang!

Just as Corey had this thought while still running, a loud clang resounded, and Corey watched as Tessa parried his Axe Intent away.

She was about to launch an attack at him with her sword, but Corey controlled his axe intent to swerve back at her, causing her to have no choice but to block the axe intent once again.

A frustrated light flashed in her eyes as she sent the axe intent away, and another axe attack came at her.

But this time around, it was Corey.

Clang!

A loud clash resounded as Corey's Genesis Armament clashed with the swords of Tessa.

Corey's eyes flashed when he saw how Tessa perfectly blocked his axe with ease, and a tinge of appreciation flashed in his eyes.

'Her sword mastery is good... very good.'

Just as Corey had this thought, Tessa pushed his massive axe to the side with one side and attempted to cut him with her other axe.

'Her strength is similar to mine... Maybe a lil bit higher than mine.'

With a completely calm expression, Corey side stepped the sword swing from Tessa and punched her facez completely catching her by surprise.

She staggered backwards, and Corey did not let up.

He launched a lightning coated kick at her chest, sending her flying.

Just as she landed on the ground with a loud thud, Corey stepped on her chest and with an indifferent gaze, cut off her right arm.
