"I'll give you a choice. Bow your head and live, or defy me and die."

Shen Yuan's voice echoed like a spirit of vengeance, sending a chill down Kaido's spine.

Shen Yuan narrowed his eyes and slowly retracted the Death God's power.

"Speak."

Kaido wheezed, chest heaving.

"All the blame falls on me… but please… let them go. Just kill me instead."

Right then,

King (Ember) dragged his battered body over, helping Kaido stand.

"Lord Shen Yuan... please... take my life instead. Spare Kaido-sama!"

"Idiot!" Kaido snarled. "Who told you to beg?!"

But King didn't back down.

"I want ten tons of seastone. Also, cede half your territory to the Whitebeard Pirates. And one person."
