Solo Leveling: Infinite Talent

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: The Hidden Power

The dragon's massive form struggled to rise, its claws scraping against the ground as it regained its footing. Its molten eyes locked onto Mai Lee, full of rage and unspent bloodlust. But there was no fear in Mai Lee's gaze, only determination.

With a single, fluid motion, Mai Lee extended his hand, and in the blink of an eye, a swirl of energy began to gather around him. He could feel the dragon's movements, its power, but his body was no longer a mere vessel—it was a weapon forged from the very talents he copied and fused.

"Warning: Monster's attack imminent."

The system's voice echoed in his mind just as the dragon lunged forward, jaws wide, ready to crush him with its overwhelming bite.

Mai Lee didn't flinch. His instincts took over. He rolled to the side, the ground beneath him cracking as he avoided the dragon's teeth by mere inches. But he wasn't done. As the dragon continued its ferocious charge, Mai Lee activated another fusion. This time, he combined the dragon's fiery resistance with the earth-shaking might he had copied earlier.

Copying Talent: [Fire Resistance]

Fused Talent: [Dragon's Inferno Strike]

The fusion of fire and raw earth power surged in him, coursing through his veins like molten lava. His body was now a living force of nature, combining the resilience of a dragon with the devastating power of a giant. His skin, already tougher from the Dragon's Resilience, now radiated with an intense heat, like the core of a volcano.

Mai Lee grinned, knowing exactly how to finish this fight. He darted forward, closing the gap between himself and the dragon in the blink of an eye. The beast was still reeling from his previous strike, its movements slower than before.

With a roar, Mai Lee swung his arm in a wide arc. The ground beneath him cracked as his fist, fueled by his fused abilities, collided with the dragon's chest. The impact was like an explosion—stone and fire erupted from the point of contact, sending the dragon crashing backward, its body completely torn apart by the force.

The beast's once menacing roars fell silent as it lay crumpled against the wall, defeated.

Mai Lee stood over the creature, breathing heavily, his chest rising and falling with each breath. His body still hummed with the power of the abilities he had copied and fused. He looked down at the now-lifeless dragon, a strange sense of satisfaction settling in.

But there was no time to rest. He needed answers.

Mai Lee examined the status window with a sense of awe. The power he had accumulated from just two battles was staggering. His strength had skyrocketed in a matter of minutes. But it was more than just power. It was the ability to adapt, to evolve, to become something greater with every fight.

The system's voice broke through his thoughts again.

"Warning: Incoming Hostile Presence."

Mai Lee's heart skipped a beat. Was there more?

He turned toward the entrance of the hallway, the air growing colder as a new, unfamiliar presence closed in on him. His eyes narrowed, scanning for the source of the threat. He wasn't about to be caught off guard again. His abilities were powerful, but he couldn't afford to be reckless. Every step he took from here on out had to be calculated. He had no idea what this world held, but one thing was certain—he wouldn't be a weakling for long.

"Prepare for incoming combat."

Mai Lee smirked. This was what he had been waiting for. He wasn't just going to survive—he was going to thrive.
