Soul Land 2: Body Sect

Chapter 330: Chapter 330: Tang Wutong’s Confusion

Chapter 330: Tang Wutong's Confusion

Tang Wutong stared in disbelief at Niu Tian and Titan, who were held tightly in the grip of a massive, grayish-white dragon claw. Her emotions were on the verge of collapse.

Although she wasn't entirely sure of their exact power, after so many years together, she could guess that both of them had reached an incredibly high level, perhaps even Ultimate Douluo. Yet, these two powerful figures were now trapped in the clutches of a single dragon claw.

"Little Wutong!" Niu Tian called out with a bitter smile.

"If you want to come after us, do it! Just don't harm Little Wutong!" Titan shouted defiantly at Du Qianjue, struggling desperately in the dragon's grip.

Hearing Titan's words, Tang Wutong turned to look at Du Qianjue.

"Who are you?" she asked, her eyes filled with confusion and pain.

The moment she saw Du Qianjue, a sharp pain shot through her mind, and fragments of memories flashed by.

Du Qianjue ignored Tang Wutong's question and tightened his grip on Niu Tian and Titan. "Stay still. You're in no position to make demands."

The intense pressure caused their bones to crack. Titan, suffering from internal injuries, spat out a mouthful of blood, while Niu Tian, though not bleeding, was clearly in pain.

Indeed, before a god, mortals were too weak. Not only could they be easily overpowered, but killing them would be no more difficult than crushing an insect.

"You're Du Qianjue! Why are you here at the Haotian Sect?!" Tang Wutong suddenly remembered who he was.

Due to the distraction caused by Tang San's battle with the God of Destruction, his control over her mind weakened. As Tang Wutong deliberately tried to recall her memories, the influence of his divine power couldn't suppress her thoughts.

The memories that belonged to Wang Dong'er began to resurface in Tang Wutong's mind.

She remembered the confident and undefeated Du Qianjue from the Star Luo City competition. She also recalled the Sea God's Fate matchmaking event, where she stood by the lakeside, watching as Du Qianjue and Xue Linglong became the center of attention.

But beyond that, her memory was blank.

It had been several years since those events, but she couldn't recall anything from the last few years. She only remembered returning to the Haotian Sect after the Sea God's Fate event, and from that point until now, everything was a blur.

"So what happened to me?" Tang Wutong looked down at her hands in bewilderment and pain.

She didn't even care about the immediate danger; she just wanted to understand why she had lost her memories.

Suddenly, Tang Wutong's expression changed. She remembered the final scene before she lost her memory: Niu Tian and Titan, with expressions of regret and sorrow, looked at her just before she returned to the Haotian Sect. At the time, she was too consumed by her feelings of loss from leaving Shrek Academy and her excitement about returning to the sect to notice their unusual expressions.

But now, looking back, they must have known something!

At that moment, the trident mark on Tang Wutong's forehead dimmed significantly, flickering like a candle in the wind, ready to extinguish at any moment.

"Big dad, second dad, do you know something? Why did I lose my memories? Why can't I remember what happened?" Tang Wutong's face twisted in pain, and blood began to trickle from her eyes, ears, and nose.

"Little Wutong, calm down! You'll die!" Niu Tian shouted in panic when he saw her condition. "Don't try to break that mark! It's there to protect you!"

"But... I want to know why I lost my memories..." Tang Wutong said weakly.

Du Qianjue watched this scene with great interest.

Things weren't going quite as he had expected. It seemed the Tang Princess had some awareness left and wasn't entirely transformed into Tang San's puppet.

"Teacher, what's going on here?" Du Qianjue called back Electrolux, who had been busy altering the Haotian Sect disciples, and pointed at Tang Wutong curiously.

Specialization matters. Although Du Qianjue had inherited Electrolux's necromantic magic, Electrolux was still far more skilled in understanding and manipulating souls.

Electrolux was initially displeased at being interrupted but burst into laughter when he saw what was happening.

"Hold on, let me observe this a bit more. I didn't expect to come across something so interesting," Electrolux said, examining Tang Wutong.

"This is truly eye-opening!"

Du Qianjue's eyes sparkled, sensing the potential for more drama.

"Senior, do you know what's happening to me?" Tang Wutong turned to Electrolux, ignoring the ongoing disintegration of her soul, and asked earnestly, "Please, tell me!"

Without Tang San's interference, Tang Wutong's true personality, gentle yet strong-willed, started to shine through. She wasn't the arrogant princess that Tang San had tried to mold her into.

Due to Du Qianjue's influence, the part of her soul that was meant to become Wang Qiu'er never split off, leaving the essence of Wang Dong'er intact. Only the part of her soul that belonged to Tang Wutong had been preserved by Tang San in the Haotian Sect.

Without Tang San's guidance, Wang Dong'er's consciousness gradually became dominant.

Electrolux was slightly taken aback. He didn't expect Tang Wutong to ask him directly.

He was, after all, in the midst of wreaking havoc on the Haotian Sect, transforming its disciples into undead creatures. Yet, this girl, clearly a member of the sect, showed no hostility towards him.

Surprised, Electrolux hesitated. "Are you sure you want to know? The truth might be hard for you to handle."

"Please, tell me, Senior. I just want to know the truth," Tang Wutong replied with a bitter smile. Her soul was beginning to fracture, and she could feel her life slipping away.

"I'm going to die soon anyway, right? Let me at least die knowing the truth. Thank you, Senior."

"Alright then, prepare yourself," Electrolux sighed, aware of the devastating impact his words would have on the girl.

Even the onlookers, Xue Linglong, Du BuSi, and Bi Ji, gathered around, ready to watch the drama unfold. Du BuSi even snatched some seeds from Du Qianjue's hand to munch on.

"To put it simply, you've died at least twice already," Electrolux began, dropping a bombshell. Everyone except Du Qianjue, who had somewhat expected it, was shocked. Even Niu Tian and Titan's faces grew more bitter.

"Is that so? What else?" Tang Wutong chuckled quietly.

"While I don't know exactly who did this to you, their method of splitting your soul was incredibly crude. They couldn't do it cleanly, so they killed you first, extracted your soul, and then split it. Afterward, they used divine power to revive the two separate pieces of your soul," Electrolux explained.

"That's why you feel such a disconnection in your memories. It's a side effect of having your soul split and then fused back together. The inconsistencies in your memories are a result of this flawed process."

"The scars from the splitting and rejoining of your soul are obvious to someone like me. If I wanted to, or rather, for anyone highly skilled in soul manipulation, it would be easy to attack your soul and kill you without a trace. The crude method used by whoever did this has left your soul with irreversible damage."

"In simple terms, your soul is no longer whole. This imperfection can only be healed with a powerful artifact or over time as your soul slowly mends itself."

"The mark on your forehead is the trace of divine consciousness left by the person who did this to stabilize your soul, preventing it from falling apart. But now, in your struggle, that mark has lost its power," Electrolux explained clearly.

His words were so straightforward that even the bystanders could understand. But it was precisely because they understood that they felt a chill run down their spines.

The God of Destruction and the Goddess of Life, who had been watching closely, also saw what had transpired and realized what Tang San had done to Tang Wutong.

It was too cruel.

"So... I was just a pawn all along," Tang Wutong murmured, her eyes dimming as dark red blood trickled from her mouth. Her life force was rapidly fading.

She was about to die.

Du Qianjue knew he couldn't just stand by and watch anymore. Tang Wutong, in her current state, would be the perfect ally in a vendetta against her father. It would be a waste to let her die now.

"Teacher, stabilize her soul. I'll extract the divine consciousness from her mind, and then we'll revive her!" Du Qianjue suggested to Electrolux with a mischievous grin.

Electrolux chuckled and then raised his head proudly. "Let's do it. Let's show that so-called soul manipulator what true mastery looks like!"

Du Qianjue and Electrolux exchanged knowing smiles, and then both unleashed their immense divine power, enveloping Tang Wutong's body.
