The last sensation Ye Caiqian remembered was the warmth of the golden pillar and the thunderous, collective heartbeat of the world he had left behind. Then—silence, not emptiness, but a silence so profound it felt like he'd stepped into the moment between two eternities.

And then, with a gentle, imperceptible jolt, he opened his eyes.

He was standing—no, floating, buoyed by invisible currents—at the heart of a world more radiant than any dream or legend. The Divine Realm. It unfolded before him in a splendor that words could only clumsily grasp.

He gazed around, and his senses were instantly overwhelmed:

Above him, the "sky" was a living tapestry—a dome of celestial colors, always shifting. Aurora-like ribbons of gold, violet, emerald, and sapphire danced overhead, each one a river of pure immortal energy. Sunlight and moonlight seemed to coexist, bathing the world in a perpetual, gentle glow that cast neither harsh shadow nor blinding glare.

Floating islands drifted in the endless air, some the size of mountains, others delicate as clouds, all suspended by currents of divine power. Some teemed with ancient forests, their trees tall as city spires, leaves shimmering with elemental light. Waterfalls spilled into nothingness, dissolving into glowing mist before they ever touched the ground.

At the horizon, distant palaces soared—temples and citadels of every imaginable shape and grandeur, their walls woven from crystal, silver, jade, and scales of purest gold. Bridges arched through empty space, connecting realms and domains, their surfaces alive with living runes. There were gardens where rainbow birds sang, vast lakes of liquid light, and forests where every flower was a little star.

The air itself thrummed with energy—so rich it was almost intoxicating. Ye Caiqian felt it swirling into his lungs, his skin, his very soul. The energy here was…different. Not the soul power of the mortal world, but something vaster, purer, eternally self-renewing. He realized with awe that this was immortal energy—the breath of gods.

He looked down and saw beneath his feet not ground, but a radiant platform—his own divine position. A throne and altar crafted by the will of the Divine Realm itself, inscribed with the symbols of his path: wisdom, humanity, hope, and all the elemental powers he had mastered.

As he focused, he sensed the vast "territory" that was now his domain, a swath of divine space stretching outward—a blank canvas awaiting his touch, ready to become whatever sanctuary or palace he wished to create.

He breathed in, and the new world seemed to answer, every particle of immortal energy welcoming its newest inhabitant.

Ye Caiqian's meditation was interrupted by a ripple in the air—like a pebble tossed into a still pond, the immortal energy parted. Something vast approached, radiating majesty and pressure.

He turned, heart steady, and saw a figure flying toward him: a dragon, resplendent and immense, its scales iridescent silver-blue, horns curling like ancient crowns, eyes bright with intelligence—and an unmistakable pride.

As the dragon landed before him, its form rippled and shifted, becoming a tall, imposing man draped in robes that shimmered like a living storm. On his brow glinted a crest in the shape of a dragon's eye—a symbol of office and authority.

Ye Caiqian offered a respectful bow. "Honored guest, Ye Caiqian greets you."

The dragon's eyes sparkled. "Ye Caiqian—the God of Humanity, the first of your kind in this cycle. I am Longyuan, envoy of the Divine Council of the Dragon Kings and the Dragon God. I welcome you to the Divine Dragon Realm, the seat of the gods."

His voice echoed with ancient power, yet was tinged with condescension—an ancient lord welcoming a promising, if untested, newcomer.

Longyuan gestured grandly at the radiant world around them. "This territory you see—this is your divine domain. Each god is granted space according to the strength of their god position and the faith of their followers. As you grow in power and influence, so too will your domain expand, and its wonders increase."

Ye Caiqian nodded, absorbing every detail. Already, his mind was racing with possibilities—palaces to inspire, gardens for contemplation, libraries, and halls where future human gods might gather.

Longyuan continued, a hint of warning in his tone, "Now that you have crossed into the realm of gods, you must adapt. The immortal energy here is not the soul power of the lower worlds. Your first task is to recultivate your body and soul with immortal energy. Only then will you truly become an immortal god, able to endure eternally within the Divine Realm. This process may take years or decades, but it is the foundation of everything to come."

Ye Caiqian bowed again, gratitude and resolve mingling in his eyes.

Longyuan's gaze sharpened. "Remember this, Ye Caiqian: the gods are forbidden to directly interfere in the lower worlds, unless training a successor or guiding a chosen champion. The balance of fate must be preserved. There are now over two thousand worlds linked to our realm. In many, the human race has begun to awaken. Should you wish, you may search for promising souls—raise them up, nurture their faith, and one day, they may join you as peers."

The envoy's face grew haughty, his voice ringing with the pride of his race. "But let there be no misunderstanding. The Dragon Race founded this realm, and we are its rightful lords. All other races—be they beast, spirit, or human—exist to serve the Dragon Realm and contribute to its expansion. Your presence here is new, but the rules remain."

Ye Caiqian felt a flicker of indignation at the arrogance, but he simply inclined his head. He had learned long ago that power was best wielded with patience—and that the true future would be shaped by actions, not boasts.

Longyuan seemed to study him for a moment, then nodded, satisfied. "Twelve Dragon Kings and the Dragon God rule this realm. Respect their authority, and you may find your place among us. Grow complacent, and you will be swept aside, as have many before you."

With a final flick of his robes and a sweep of his tail, the envoy turned and vanished, dissolving into a river of silver light that streaked away across the divine sky.

For a while, Ye Caiqian stood in silence, the vastness of the Divine Realm pressing in—not with menace, but with expectation. He sensed the power that thrummed in every current, the secrets that slept in every floating island, and the watching eyes of gods both old and new.

He let out a slow breath, centering himself. The world he had left was secure, for now. Here, his journey began anew.

He walked to the center of his domain, and with a thought, shaped the first stones of his palace—a sanctuary for wisdom, a fortress for hope, a beacon for all humanity's future gods.

He closed his eyes, feeling the immortal energy, and began the process of rebuilding himself—body and soul—into a vessel worthy of eternity.

As the light of the Divine Realm swirled around him, Ye Caiqian smiled, determination shining in his eyes.

The next age had begun. Humanity would rise—not as servants, but as equals, and one day, perhaps, as rulers in their own right.
