Soul Land:The Dragon King's God of Nature

Chapter 313: Chapter 313: Complete Victory!

Na'er's breathtakingly beautiful face carried a stern expression, her entire aura exuding an unassailable nobility.

Following the first Soul Ring, her third Soul Ring lit up behind her. The Silver Dragon Lance instantly transformed into a soaring dragon, its majestic head sweeping aside Hua Lantang's dual claws with an unstoppable momentum before crashing violently into his wide-open chest.

Hua Lantang felt his entire body stiffen. The moment that silver dragon appeared, it was as if the blood in his veins had frozen solid. All his strength, all his Soul Power, vanished in that instant—as though he had never possessed them at all.

With a face ashen with despair, he watched as the dragon formed from countless lance shadows slammed into his chest. He was sent flying backward, and in his ears, he seemed to hear a mournful cry—the lament of his Martial Soul!

Why?

No one could answer him, and neither could he answer himself. His body soared halfway across the arena before crashing heavily into the protective barrier at the edge.

"Whoosh—"

The entire crowd erupted in shock. Everyone uncontrollably rose to their feet, staring in disbelief at the scene on the stage. They couldn't trust their eyes—Wolf King Hua Lantang had been utterly crushed in his confrontation with his opponent, collapsing like a house of cards.

He had been completely defenseless, knocked out with a single strike!

"What just happened?" Dai Yueyan's expression darkened as he spoke in a low voice. "Hua Lantang's condition was off. Why did he seem so weak?"

"He was suppressed!" Long Yue's deep voice interjected, his gaze fixed on the stage with an inscrutable meaning. "Bloodline suppression. That girl's bloodline is of a higher tier than his."

"Bloodline suppression?" Dai Yueyan immediately understood, his voice tinged with surprise. "Are you saying that Jing Na'er possesses a powerful dragon bloodline?"

On the Star Luo Continent, bloodline Soul Masters were far more numerous and prominent than on the Douluo Continent, so their understanding of bloodlines was far more advanced. They instantly recognized that Hua Lantang had been suppressed by Na'er's bloodline.

Long Yue gave a slight nod. "Most likely. That girl's bloodline is formidable, and it harmonizes perfectly with her Martial Soul. That silver dragon that appeared at the end was likely an attack infused with bloodline power."

"Then, compared to yours, whose bloodline is stronger, Brother Long?" Dai Yuner couldn't help but ask.

"Hard to say." Long Yue chuckled. "We haven't crossed paths before, so it's impossible to judge. But no matter how strong a bloodline is, it ultimately requires cultivation to support it. Hua Lantang's defeat came from the asymmetry of information—caught off guard, he ended up in this situation. If he had adapted, the outcome of this match would have been entirely different."

"Is that so?" Dai Yuner mused thoughtfully. "Then, what would Jing Na'er's true strength level be?"

"An average Soul King likely wouldn't be her match," Long Yue replied. "If we disregard the bloodline suppression, she and Hua Lantang should have been evenly matched."

"Ah?" Dai Yuner's expression soured. "She seems to be Jing Shaoyu's younger sister, doesn't that mean Jing Shaoyu is even stronger? How frustrating!"

"Heh, no need to worry." Long Yue grinned. "The stronger they are, the more interesting it gets!"

As they spoke, the match on the stage had already concluded. Ye Zhi conceded outright—after all, she was merely a support-type Soul Master with no combat abilities—while Hua Lantang was carried off the stage. Though he wasn't in mortal danger, he had suffered several broken ribs, though nothing more serious than that.

This first clash between Shrek Academy and Monster Academy ended in a complete victory for Shrek Academy. The audience from the Star Luo Continent found it hard to accept at first, only snapping out of their daze after the next match had already finished.

After the initial shock, confusion took over, and the stands buzzed with hushed murmurs.

Gu Yue and Na'er had already returned to their companions.

"Na'er, you were amazing!" Xu Xiaoyan exclaimed in admiration. "You knocked out that so-called Wolf King with just one shot! You should've heard the commentator—she was so shocked her voice cracked! Haha, that was so satisfying. Serves him right for looking down on us."

"Commentator? Who?" Na'er blinked in confusion, looking at Xu Xiaoyan blankly.

"That host, Fang'er," Xu Xiaoyan explained.

"Oh, what did she say? We couldn't hear anything up on stage," Na'er asked curiously.

Na'er pulled Xu Xiaoyan aside to chat, while Gu Yue silently walked over to Jing Shaoyu and stood beside him expressionlessly.

Jing Shaoyu glanced at the impassive girl beside him and couldn't help but grin. "You were amazing too!"

"Childish!" Gu Yue shot him a glance, though a faint smile tugged at her lips. "But I like hearing it. Say more."

"Alright, if you like it, I'll say it a few more times for you tonight, okay?" Jing Shaoyu smirked, leaning in to whisper by her ear.

"Jerk!" Gu Yue's cheeks flushed as she turned away shyly.

"Hahaha!" Jing Shaoyu laughed heartily. He loved teasing Gu Yue like this—no matter how familiar they became, she would always react with that adorable shyness. Just a single cheesy line was enough to make her blush, which he found endlessly amusing.

The matches that followed went smoothly.

In the morning's doubles matches, after Gu Yue and Na'er's triumphant debut, Xu Xiaoyan and Wu Siduo, as well as Ye Xinglan and Mo Hentian, also secured victories one after another. Though their opponents weren't as renowned or formidable as Hua Lantang and Ye Zhi, they were still strong teams.

Yet, when facing Xu-Wu and Ye-Mo, they lost embarrassingly, each lasting even shorter than the last, making the two teams appear all the more dominant.

In the afternoon's team competition, Jing Shaoyu and his six companions easily claimed their first victory. The gap in strength between their group's four teams was vast—the other three teams were only at the level of junior Soul Grandmasters, while Jing Shaoyu's team averaged at the advanced Soul Grandmaster tier. Against them, the opponents never stood a chance.

Thus, after the first day of the main competition, the seven who had already made a name for themselves in the preliminaries now became the talk of the entire Star Luo Continent.

Almost every newspaper in Star Luo City was reporting on them, relentlessly stirring up panic with cries of "the wolf is coming." Some even went as far as to rally for "defending Star Luo's dignity," which thoroughly amused Jing Shaoyu.

One day later, the individual tournament's round-robin matches were about to begin.

Jing Shaoyu and the other six immediately checked their respective groups. They were fortunate that none of them were placed in the same group. Jing Shaoyu was in Group One, Xu Xiaoyan in Group Two, Wu Siduo in Group Three, Na'er in Group Four, Ye Xinglan in Group Five, Mo Hentian in Group Six, and Gu Yue in Group Eight.

After confirming their groups, they began analyzing the strong opponents in each group.

In Jing Shaoyu's Group One, there was one formidable opponent no one could overlook—the leader of Monster Academy's Eight Great Heavenly Kings, the Dragon King, Long Yue! They had actually been placed in the same group. Whether it was due to behind-the-scenes manipulation or pure coincidence, Jing Shaoyu found it quite amusing.

"Perfect!" Wu Siduo exclaimed with excitement, her eyes gleaming with anticipation.

In Wu Siduo's Group Three, there were two Monster Academy students: the Fourth Prince, Tiger King Dai Yueyan, and the Little Princess, Spirit King Dai Yuner!

Jing Shaoyu had reason to believe the groupings had been tampered with. Otherwise, how could Wu Siduo, Dai Yueyan, and Dai Yuner have ended up in the same group by sheer chance? However, this arrangement suited Wu Siduo just fine. The tournament organizers likely saw her as a stepping stone for the royal siblings, unaware that this stepping stone came with thorns.

He couldn't fathom how Dai Yueyan or Dai Yuner stood a chance against Wu Siduo.

This was largely due to Wu Siduo's exceptional ability to conceal her true strength, fooling almost everyone into believing she was merely a Nether White Tiger Soul Grandmaster. Little did they know she was also a Nine Nether Shadow Cat Soul King, capable of summoning the Nether White Tiger.

In Mo Hentian's Group Six, there was one Monster Academy student—Fox King Su Mu. This promised to be an intriguing match. The only pity was that Mo Hentian hadn't cultivated his Celestial Fox Martial Soul; otherwise, they would have witnessed a showdown between the Celestial Fox and the Nine-Tailed Fox.

As for the other groups, Xu Xiaoyan's Group Two included the Shadow King Teng Teng, while Ye Xinglan's Group Five featured the Wind King Lin San. Na'er and Gu Yue's groups had no members from the Eight Great Heavenly Kings.

With the groupings finalized, the thrilling round-robin matches of the individual tournament were about to begin.
