Chapter 31: Moving from the past, into the present.
POV: Harry Terria
I sat under an oak tree, the wind pushing my hair around; I looked around myself and saw a few birds flying by, singing their song as they always did.
To my left stood an old wooden shack; It looked to be in ruins, rotten wood falling apart into splinters. The shack looked almost forgotten as if it was a remnant of some long past era.
I stood up from my oak tree and walked towards the shack; I blinked and found myself in front of it.
I went to open the door, but it fell apart from a single touch; Looking inside, I saw an old lump of metal, whatever it was before was lost to time.
There, on the floor, sat a strange few pieces of wood; Maybe they would've formed the shape of an animal before it was broken.
I was about to step into the building when something else caught my attention; Another building in ruin, this one made of stone and looking as if it had been taken care of better.
I walked toward it, blinked, and found myself in front of it. I looked inside and found statues representing something familiar, someone familiar. I also saw a few pieces of wood, stuck together with some string and put over some holes in the building.
I looked more, and found a table of stone with food put on top of it; A few pieces of bread stood apart from the fruits and meats, and it felt like it was finally where it was supposed to be.
I turned around and went back to my tree; I looked to my left and right, the two buildings now opposite to one another. I found myself almost wanting to go back to that wooden shack, a strange sense of familiarity and slight comfort resided in the shadows it gave off. But then I also looked at the stone building, the one that felt so new yet old, the one that felt like a change.
I walked over to the stone building, not blinking this time. I looked back at the shack, it was now looking to be holding its shape by nothing but a thread; And then I walked into the church.

I woke up in surprise, a half-forgotten dream left in my subconscious; I couldn't help but feel better about myself, even if I didn't know why I did.
