Chapter 3: 3 Second teleportation
"Talents have been allocated to the human race.If you did not select a talent…you'll probably die first. Your freedom of choice has been recognized and accepted. Saving time and resources by dying is accepted."
Brutal. Though the way it was said makes me wonder. Are humans the only race participating in this? If so, are they stronger or weaker than us? Are they friendly?
Are we going to a world with natives?
"Humans. You will now be teleported into the real world. Where you can really die. You will all be given a castle. When you arrive immediately go to the troops summoning circle. You are given a random troop. After that your system will be unlocked. Remember life isn't fair. It's all luck. Not speed. Not intelligence. It's all just luck."
With another ominous laugh my vision changed from the bright and warm meadow, to a stone throne room. I was immediately cold and shivering.
I had teleported with a thin blanket. No shoes or socks. And thin summer pajamas.
"F-Fuck!" I cursed loudly, my voice chattering.
The castle was cold and dilapidated. Medieval in design. Snow was piled up where the roof had caved. I walked the hallways quickly looking for the summoning circle.
The rooms and walls were bare. No furniture or decorations. There were places for torches but they were empty. It was like it was built and abandoned. Left to the elements.
Eventually I discovered a stone staircase descending into darkness.
Having searched everywhere else I had no choice but to hope that it was down there and not outside.
My feet were beyond cold now. I didn't even look at them, afraid they were turning blue. I hope whatever I summon is strong or can provide warmth. A dragon would be nice. Warm and strong.
It was dark for a bit. I touched the side of the wall and walked carefully. To my luck the floor above the room had caved in illuminating the…. dungeon.
Full of metal bars and metal chains on the wall. And… bloodstains.
That's not ominous at all.
Was this dungeon the only room that's been used?
I found the circle. Which was very reminiscent of the pentagram. Though instead of five points it had eight. An octagram.
I approached it. A screen popped up. "Would you like to use your daily summon?"
I selected yes.
The circle glowed. A couple more screens popped up.
"First summon achieved."
"Binding to the system."
Up from the ground my troops arose. With horns and wings. I cursed internally.
"Troops summoned. Congratulations on summoning the troop 'demon'."
