SSS Ranked Reincarnation: Dark Dragon Legacy

Chapter 405: Killing your weak leaders

Silva walked away from the ashes he left. He thought about how a day ago, that demon would have been a pivotal barrier for him, and now he was walking over them.

He kept walking into the capital when suddenly a red-hot massive fireball shot through the air toward him. Without wasting a second, he pulled out his sword and made a slash.

The fireball was split in two ways, each flew to one side. They made contact with the ground, and the impact was terrifying as it exploded and left a massive crater there.

"Dishing out an attack like that, you are pretty powerful," Silva said and looked up at the sky. A female demon was flying there with a staff in her hands; she looked at Silva with glowing eyes.

"I saw what you did to those three demons, and because of that, I can't allow you to advance. You are too dangerous. I have sent word about you.

I said you should be considered a high-level threat and that elite demons should be sent. Until they get here, I'll be the one holding you back. You will not pass," she spoke in a resolute manner.

"That's stupid. If you saw how I killed them, what gave you the stupid idea that you can hold me back? Are you dumb or trying to be?" Silva asked.

"Master, let us get rid of her already," the sword spoke to Silva, eager to go.

"Calm down. I'd like to see how she planned to slow me down," Silva responded to the sword.

"I am much stronger than those three. I am sure that holding you back will not be hard..." As she spoke, Silva threw the Abyssal Blade so hard it went past her ear and sliced her cheek a little.

He called the sword back, and it returned to his hand. The demon was shocked as she felt blood dripping from her face.

"I could have killed you in that instant. You wouldn't have been able to fight back at all. Dead, that's what you would have been.

Do you still feel confident in your ability to hold me back?" Silva asked.

Silva's words were like an insult to her. She flipped her staff over her head, her mouth moved, but she made no audible words.

Suddenly, a massive red magical circle appeared, and then smaller ones in descending order formed—five of them. They began spinning all together, and a beam of fire shot out, targeting Silva.

Silva brought out one of his wings and curved it over his body, covering him from the attack. The flame hit with a massive impact, the blast covering Silva entirely.

The demon watched this and was filled with happiness at the fact that her attack had worked, but from the flames, the Abyssal Blade flew out, thrown at full speed. It stabbed right into her heart in an instant.

The spell stopped immediately, and her body fell to the ground from the sky. She landed with a bang, the sword still stuck in her chest.

Silva walked to her in slow and steady steps. He looked into her eyes; he could see her struggle and desire to stay alive.

He grabbed the sword and pulled it out, her blood dripping from the tip. "I stopped playing games after you demons showed up. Everything became serious. You got lucky. I gave you the chance to kill me, but you failed that," Silva said. He stabbed her through her throat and ended her.

As she died, he sensed the presence of demons, more than ten of them heading his way.

"This was the elite force they sent to help her? Seems they are underestimating what sort of threat I am," Silva said and continued walking.

The demons spotted Silva and knew he was the intruder. When they saw the female demon's body on the ground, they flew into a rage and all attacked Silva at the same time.

Silva timed their coming, and when they were within the perfect range, he swung his blade. It exploded with dark flames, and the flames caught onto all of the demons except one who was able to pull back at the last moment.

The demons rolled and tossed on the ground, fighting and struggling to survive, but the flames burned them up without mercy. No matter how much they struggled, after a while, they were all burnt to ashes.

Silva focused on the last demon, the one that had managed to escape. "You have excellent reflexes. That was a pretty cool escape," Silva said.

"How dare you talk during a battle? Are you disrespecting us? Because you killed my brothers, it doesn't make you superior. You got lucky," the demon said with his sword in hand.

"For a very intelligent race, you all become very dumb when it gets to battles. Do you really feel this is a battle? Don't flatter yourself; this is a massacre.

I've been killing the demons I came by so easily it is starting to get boring, but regardless of what it feels like, I have to keep killing you.

Not because I want to or have to, but I need to send a message to your leaders. A new age has come, and I am the one bringing it.

If they resist it, refuse to acknowledge what I am doing, I'll keep killing demons more and more until I get to them and eradicate them as well," Silva said.

"You believe yourself worthy to see our masters? Never!" the demon spat.

"Oh, shut up," Silva said and kept walking toward the demon. The demon tried to fly higher to get a better vantage point to attack, but a tendril shot out of the ground, grabbed both of his feet, and pulled him to the ground with so much force that as he hit the ground, a small crater formed under him.

The tendrils wrapped around the demon and didn't allow him to move. Silva walked to the demon and placed his sword over his neck.

"It doesn't matter what you think. I'll be killing your weak leaders," Silva said and stabbed the demon through the throat.
