Stark Infinity

Chapter 2: Arc Reactor and First Masterpiece

'Although I knew they would do a teeny bit of persuasion, I didn't expect it to be this much!'

"Boooorrh!"

"Gasp!"

After taking his last dip into the drum of water Tony Stark was led outside the cave by the armed.

Earlier on he had acted like he did in th movie and pretended to disagree with making a Jericho Missile for them.

The Jericho were repulsor missiles created by the Stark Industries to assist the United States Armed Forces in Afghanistan

One Jericho missile was developed by Stark Industries for the United States Armed Forces.

Tony Stark was meant to display the missile's capabilities to Air Force observers attending a demonstration in Afghanistan, during which the missile blew up several cave openings.

While there, he was ambushed by the Ten Rings and held captive in order to build them a Jericho missile.

In the original, Stark built the first Iron Man Armour from the parts of the Jericho Missiles, and I plan to do the same.

Apparently they had already gotten their hands on some of those weapons during their ambush and Stark planned to make good use of it.

"Kabrathak dubu Mani?" The leader of the group asked.

"Do you agree with our proposal?" Ho Yinsen translated.

"Yes," Tony gave a short response.

"Makbade."

"Makbade? Cantubade pareklos"

"Yes? Then our cooperation begins."

The man smiled and shook Tony's hand. Tony shook his head and held back his smile.

Sometime later.

"Are you really going to make the Jericho Missiles for them, Stark?"

"What do you think?"

"Come on. Is this the legacy you want to leave behind."

"Either I do that or they kill me, or I'll be dead in a week anyway."

Ho Yinsen sighed and wanted to say a few words when Stark interrupted him.

"How many languages do they speak here anyway?"

"Too many."

"Really?"

"Yeah. There's Spanish, Russian, Latin, Mandarin and more."

"How about you? You seem to know how to speak multiple languages," Tony asked.

"Yes, I can speak three languages actually, English, Urdu, and Pashto."

"I see." Tony nodded and then asked.

They talked a bit more about themselves with Yinsen telling Tony that they had actually met before.

Tony said he doesn't remember but Yinsen says of course he doesn't.

"Only a genius like you would show up drunk and give a lecture on Integrated circuits and how they relate to human brain synapses."

Tony couldn't give a response to that.

-------

The next day.

Stark listed all his requirements to 'build' the missile to the men while Yinsen translated for him.

Soon, without wasting time all he needed was delivered to him in less than 24 hours while the man urged Stark to finish the project as soon as possible and he shall have his 'promised' release.

'It was a scheme hidden from another scheme. Like hell they'll let an asset like me go after tasting the fruits.'

'The Ten Rings is a dangerous organisation after all.'

Tony thought on the information he knew about them and wondered.

'Where would Shang Chi be now? How will the events play out in the alternative reality?' he wondered.

'Whichever way, I have my own problems to worry about at this time.'

Stark held down his growing curiosity and got to work immediately with the help of Ho Yinsen who seemed to subtly guess that Stark may not be making a missile just got th Ten Rings usage.

After a few days of work, Tony had extracted all the parts he needs especially...

"What is that?" Ho Yinsen asked.

Tony looked at the small piece he held and said, "Palladium."

"This is a core part of the what you're making?"

"We'll see."

One week later...

A miniature arc reactor lay on the table in front of Tony.

Unlike the movie version, this arc reactor was better in every way. If the one in the first Iron Man movie could be said to generate enough energy to power his heart for 50 lifetimes, then this current one could be said to power his heart 250 lifetimes.

Although, the line about the arc reactor powering Tony Stark's heart for "50 lifetimes" is more of a figurative expression rather than a literal claim of immortality.

It emphasizes the extraordinary capabilities of the arc reactor technology. While the arc reactor sustains Stark's life by powering his electromagnet and later his Iron Man suit, it doesn't grant him immortality in the traditional sense.

It's a powerful energy source, but Stark's mortality is still a factor in the story.

'That is something I will have to fix later on,' Stake thought.

After that, with Yinsen's help the new arc reactor was installed in his chest to keep him alive.

"Ha, that you Yinsen."

"You're welcome. I bet you are more happy about getting rid of having to carry the car battery around all the time." Ho Yinsen laughed.

"Indeed. But at least I got some workout done. Can't see see my biceps now?" Tony flexed his muscles a bit.

"Well, they are a bit in the lean side," Yinsen analyzed.

"Yeah right, I'll fix that. Anyway, there's no time. My current most enthusiastic customers are getting impatient. Let's get work."

One Month Later

After a month of tedious work every single day a masterpiece stood in front Tony Stark.

"This doesn't look like a Jericho Missile," Yinsen joked.

"My first masterpiece," Tony smiled proudly.

"Your first?"

"You wouldn't understand."

The next day...
