Start by Eating Jake Jake no Mi

Unlike in the original story, in the movie, Wapol had an older brother whose name was Mussuru, who had eaten the Noko Noko no Mi, a Paramecia type of Devil Fruit that allowed him to generate and manipulate a mushroom. 

Still, why did he mention this problem? 

It was because, in that story, Wapol ate Musshuru and allowed him to gain control over the ability of the Noko Noko no Mi. 

So, using that as an example, Masa wondered whether he could do the same with the Jake Jake no Mi. 

Yes, using his Jake Jake no Mi, he might be able to turn a Devil Fruit into a jacket, but those Devil Fruits that had turned into jackets couldn't be shared with the other Masa, which made him pretty helpless.

However, what if his idea was reversed? 

What if he was the one that became a jacket and then put a Devil Fruit into his body by using this ability? 

By then, wouldn't he be able to gain more Devil Fruits? 

The original way to use the Jake Jake no Mi was by turning its user into a jacket, and if someone wore the jacket, the user of this Devil Fruit could gain the power of those who had worn the user. 

Yet, similar to Wapol, who could use another Devil Fruit by using Baku Baku no Mi, Masa wondered whether it was possible for him to turn into a jacket and then let a Devil Fruit wear him so Masa could gain another Devil Fruit ability. 

So, what was the difference between this ability and the previous one, which was turning a Devil Fruit into a jacket? 

Naturally, this was different since if he wore a Devil Fruit as a jacket, he couldn't share it with the other Masa as it was outside his body, but if the Devil Fruit wore him as a jacket, it meant it would be inside his body, which allowed him to share the ability of the Devil Fruit with all the Masa. 

This was a pretty good idea, he thought, and more importantly, as he didn't eat the Devil Fruit, he could change it with other Devil Fruit if he wished to. 

If there was a problem, then the others needed to talk to him about whether they wanted to change into a different ability. 

Still, this wasn't a problem at all since it meant that they could get one more spot for a Devil Fruit due to the Jake Jake no Mi. 

So, with this, could he get two more Devil Fruits? 

One was permanent and the others could be changed to whatever he wished to be; because of that, the choice of a permanent Devil Fruit was essential, and he needed to have a long discussion with the other Masa, especially this permanent Devil Fruit, the last one, which was their eighth Devil Fruit. 

Yet, because of this idea, Jake Jake no Mi somehow sighed in relief, and at the same time, it showed a proud expression as its existence wasn't useless anymore. 

Still, Carina, Perona, and Kalifa were more attracted to all the Devil Fruits that Masa had collected in Impel Down. 

"Inu Inu no Mi Model: Kyubi no Kitsune, Deka Deka no Mi, Gabu Gabu no Mi, Shima Shima no Mi, and Moa Moa no Mi..." Carina murmured and sighed, "It's my first time seeing so many Devil Fruits." 

"He still has a lot of other things to do, too, right?" 

"But then, compared to the others, the value of these five Devil Fruits is on another level, okay?" 

Most of the Devil Fruits in Masa's possession were standard Zoan-type Devil Fruits, and except for that, there was only one Paramecia within his possession, which was a Noko Noko no Mi, which was pretty weak.

5.5 Floor, in Japanese, is a pun, as it is pronounced Go Ten Go. "Goten" means "Roaring Heaven," and Level 5.5 was portrayed as heavenly.

Yet, even if that place had a meaning of heaven, the one that resided in that place was a creature of hell. 

"Come on, Masa~!" 

"..." 

"If you go now, we can even wear a Zoan-type Devil Fruit as a jacket so we can have an animal trait!" Perona quickly said, which made Carina and Kalifa speechless, but they agreed since they were curious why Masa was so reluctant to go to the 5.5 Floors, and they didn't mind doing a cosplay, too, as it was pretty fun.

Masa took a deep breath, then nodded helplessly. "Fine. Only a moment, okay?"

Then, Masa went to the 5 Floor and went in a certain direction before he told Carina to make a door, which led them to a certain space between Level 5 and Level 6, Level 5.5, the Roaring Heaven of the Impel Down, but—
