Chapter 00: Supplementary Settings

Greetings, fellow Daoists,

This is not a mainline chapter but merely a supplementary setting for Susanoo. Fellow Daoists who do not need to supplement the settings may skip this section directly.

Considering that some fellow Daoists might have questions about the terms I use in the text for Susanoo, such as "Initial Stage Susanoo," "First Stage Susanoo," etc., here I will unify the terminology, and from now on, this will be the standard.

Below is the Susanoo setting I have compiled based on the original work, various sources, and my personal understanding.

Susanoo Form Settings:

Principle: A high-output form of chakra release, materializing energy to form an ultra-dense chakra body, transforming into a burly war god for combat. It grows in stages as the user's ocular power strengthens, making it the ultimate ocular technique that combines offense and defense.

Susanoo·Initial Stage: Ribs and arms, which can be used for attack, defense, protection, control, and various other purposes. The body is not completely enveloped by Susanoo, leaving large gaps, but the defense is sufficient to block most attacks.

Susanoo·First Stage: Half-body skeleton, with a skull-like appearance. Chakra completely covers the body, further enhancing defense, but gaps remain at the feet, allowing extremely fierce attacks to penetrate. At this stage, Susanoo can carry simple weapons like ordinary swords, and the attack methods are basic physical attacks.

Susanoo·Second Stage: Half-body skeleton with muscles, covered with meridians and flesh, enveloped in a cloak-like chakra. It can release seals and use its own exclusive weapons and ninjutsu, such as the Yata Mirror and bows. This Susanoo has the best balance. Characters like Madara's dual-sided blue figure and Sasuke's archer often used this form before obtaining the Six Paths power. Additionally, this state of Susanoo can use the universal long-range attack ninjutsu—Yasaka Magatama.

Susanoo·Third Stage·Tengu: Half-body with Tengu armor, adding Tengu armor to the original Susanoo base, significantly enhancing defense and allowing the use of more diverse weapons, such as the Totsuka Sword and Kagutsuchi Sword. This Susanoo is immensely powerful, but the chakra consumption increases significantly, and it is highly unstable. Ordinary Mangekyō Sharingan users find it difficult to maintain this form for long periods. It represents the limit of ordinary Mangekyō; only the Eternal Mangekyō can make this Susanoo grow legs and become taller than mountains.

Susanoo·Fourth Stage·Mature Form: Unlocks the full-body form, based on the second stage, adding the lower body and legs, while significantly increasing in size. The user is positioned at the head of Susanoo. In terms of weapons, it can use both the original exclusive weapons of Susanoo and the "Susanoo Sword" with an extremely large attack range. This form lies between the second stage and the complete form, retaining the balance and all abilities of the second stage while adding excellent mobility, compensating for the previous defensive gaps at the feet.

Susanoo·Fifth Stage·Complete Form: Based on the third stage Tengu, the body rises from the ground, breaking free from the half-body limitation, with the armor further integrated. It is referred to as the "true Susanoo," achievable only by those who have maximized the ocular power of the Mangekyō Sharingan and possess vast chakra reserves. At this stage, Susanoo becomes exceptionally large, with chakra stabilizing. Its power can easily split mountains and meteors, and it gains flight capabilities. It can also perform hand seals to use the user's specialized techniques.

Susanoo·Fifth Stage·Armored: Based on the third stage Tengu, Susanoo is used as armor equipped on the Nine-Tails, combining the Nine-Tails' overwhelming strength with Susanoo's formidable defense. It can also use Susanoo's weapons and coordinate with the Tailed Beast Bomb to launch skills.

Susanoo·Sixth Stage·Ultimate Form: Replaces the Gedo Statue with Susanoo as the container for Tailed Beast chakra, fusing chakra into a humanoid form, perfectly combining the power of the Tailed Beast and Susanoo. At this stage, Susanoo is as powerful as a deity and can unleash the strongest skill, "Indra's Arrow," with immense destructive power. According to the Nine-Tails, Sasuke's fusion of Tailed Beast chakra rivals that of the Sage of the Six Paths.
