Chapter 203: Chapter 96: Admirable Courage, Here's a Punch for You

At the entrance of Whirlpool Village, the sounds of battle raged as the two forces continued their desperate struggle.

Though the Uzumaki clan's defensive line was steadily retreating, they refused to yield an inch. With every enemy advance, more Uzumaki clansmen fell in battle.

The enemy's assault was like the claws of a beast, tearing apart the already faltering Uzumaki fighters.

Uzumaki Nagana knelt on one knee, his body covered in fine sand, his complexion ashen from the poison, his lips purple. Despite his wretched state, he stubbornly straightened his back, panting heavily.

"To think you could break free from my 'Sand Coffin.' Hmph, should I marvel at the resilience of the Uzumaki clan, or praise your pride as their leader?"

Ahead, the Second Kazekage, Shamon, hid within a massive sand sphere, his tone icy. Through a fist-sized opening, his gaze was piercingly cold.

Uzumaki Nagana gritted his teeth and said nothing. The poison had already seeped into his organs, and he knew there was no saving him. The only reason he had lasted this long was his tenacious vitality and sheer, desperate willpower.

His opponent was not only powerful but also highly experienced, constantly using an endless array of sand-control techniques to keep him at bay, never allowing him to close the distance. With the Uzumaki defensive line breached, Nagana's focus was further disrupted, making him even less of a match for Shamon.

Yet, even so, as the leader of the Uzumaki clan, he refused to resign himself to death.

Because he still had one last, desperate conviction—even if he died, he would drag this Kage down to hell with him! He wanted the world to know that the Uzumaki clan was a bone too tough to chew. Anyone who dared to swallow them had to be prepared to have their teeth shattered!

Elsewhere, Uzumaki Kyonoka had already lost the ability to resist. She knelt against a broken wall, her body torn by water blades in multiple places. Though her wounds were slowly healing, her blood-soaked clothes proved she had lost too much blood and was on the verge of death.

Even so, her face showed no despair. Instead, she smiled faintly as she stared at the distant Mizukage, as if she had already cast aside life and death.

Mizukage Sora dared not approach. The more composed she seemed, the more cautious he became. The Uzumaki clan's sealing techniques were unfathomably profound—if she had some last-ditch suicide technique, it would be a terrible loss for him.

BOOM!

A boulder shattered as Uzumaki Kurami was sent flying. Among the three main Uzumaki fighters, he was the only one still struggling, still capable of fighting.

But this time, Ōnoki gave him no chance to retreat. Pressing a palm to the ground, he muttered, "Earth Release: Moving Earth Core!"

The ground beneath Kurami suddenly rose, forming a massive, square platform that lifted him into the air.

Ōnoki swiftly formed hand seals, clapped his hands together, then slowly pulled them apart. A translucent, perfectly proportioned cone took shape between them, its center glowing with a blinding white light.

"Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique!"

Uzumaki Kurami's pupils shrank. He suddenly sensed immense danger. "Adamantine Sealing Chains!" shot out, embedding themselves into a nearby bell tower. At the last possible moment, they yanked him to safety.

The next instant, a brilliant white beam shot past, melting a massive hole through the rising earth platform.

"Cunning brat." Ōnoki snorted but didn't stop his assault, hurling another boulder.

Kurami rolled away frantically, sprinting along the bell tower's walls as the structure crumbled under the barrage of rocks. Finally, he leaped to the ground, tumbling several times before skidding to a stop, his mouth full of dust, nearly knocked unconscious.

By sheer misfortune, he had landed right in the middle of the enemy forces.

These ninja were already blood-drunk. The moment they saw red hair, they raised their blades and slashed. The nearest one, a blond, lunged at him with a vicious swing!

In the distance, Ōnoki smirked darkly. Clearly, he had deliberately forced Kurami into that position.

Just then, a young man wearing sunglasses suddenly appeared, hip-checking the blond away before vanishing again.

He was tall and well-proportioned, his black hair tied into a ponytail that shimmered like polished onyx. The corners of his lips curled in a faint, enigmatic smile.

"Hey there, isn't this Brother Kurami? It's only been three days—how'd you end up in such a sorry state?"

Kurami's eyes widened. He scrambled to his feet. "Brother, why are you still here? I thought you'd left! No, you gotta go—I'm probably done for, but this has nothing to do with you—"

His face was frantic, but his gaze suddenly sharpened. Staggering forward, he shoved Kamihane aside, barely dodging three shuriken.

But he was already at his limit. He didn't notice the hulking brute charging at them, swinging a massive fist.

"Brother, run—"

BAM!

A fist slammed into Kamihane's face with enough force to create a shockwave in the air. His sunglasses shattered instantly, and ripples spread across his skin like water. His long black hair swayed with the impact.

To everyone's shock, Kamihane didn't even flinch. His body might as well have been cast from bronze—utterly unmoved.

"Who are you?" Kamihane's face pressed against the fist, his crimson eyes slowly turning toward the burly man holding it. The depths of his pupils were pitch-black, like bottomless abysses.

For some reason, the moment the man met those eyes, his heart skipped a beat before pounding violently. His hair stood on end, and cold sweat broke out on his forehead.

At this moment, his mind went blank.

Kamihane muttered, "Admirable courage. Here's a punch for you."

As soon as the words left his mouth, he raised his own fist.

The man had no time to react. The only thing he could do was widen his eyes in horror as a pale fist lightly tapped his chest.

The next second—

BOOM!!!

With a sound like muffled thunder, the man's body flew backward like a ragdoll.

The moment the fist touched his chest, his body seemed to turn into a bowl of water. His chest was the surface, and the punch caused it to cave inward before rebounding, sending ripples through his entire being.

With each ripple, a sickening crack echoed from within his body. After flying nearly seven or eight meters, the man's feet finally scraped the ground, stopping him.

Outwardly, aside from his ghastly pale face, he seemed unharmed. But inside, his organs were mush.

With a "Guh—!" blood gushed from his mouth and nose, mixed with chunks of shattered viscera. His body swayed before collapsing to his knees, his head hanging limply. Like overcooked noodles, he went completely limp, lifeless.

Kamihane retracted his fist, steam still rising from his knuckles.
