Starts In Konoha: Unlocking Shadow Clone

Chapter 127: Chapter 127 Boruto's Sense of Superiority!

The little red ball that was tossed into the air actually exploded.

Not a powerful explosion, but more like fireworks.

Colorful confetti fell down, which is like the magic tricks Naruto had seen in his previous life.

This performance impressed not only Naruto and Jiraiya but even left Boruto in awe. He had never imagined that Sasuke could perform tricks like this!

"Although I'm not as good as a Shinobi, I know some tricks using Ninjutsu, just enough to make a living performing." Sasuke said nonchalantly.

Boruto eagerly nodded along.

"But even so, I still find you two suspicious."

Naruto mused, "How about this… I'll keep an eye on you guys myself."

"Keep an eye on us? Why?" Boruto was puzzled.

"Of course, I'm not just going to trust you so easily." Naruto replied matter-of-factly, "For anyone suspicious like you, Konoha always monitors them. It's already quite lenient. Not happy about it? If you still have any doubts, I'll just take you to Sandaime-sama."

"No need, we understand." Sasuke agreed with a nod.

Since their purpose was to protect Naruto, Naruto wanting to keep tabs on them only made things easier.

Jiraiya on the side added, "Naruto, since you're handling this, do it properly. I support you. But remember, I'm a very busy man. If it were beautiful girls, maybe I'd consider it, but keeping an eye on a couple of young guys? That's not my kind of work."

Before Naruto could respond, Boruto's eyes flashed with an idea. He stepped forward and said, "Uncle, how about this?"

As he said that, he formed a series of hand seals, and with a puff of smoke, he transformed into a cute, bikini-clad girl with long, flowing blonde hair.

The coquettish look on her face immediately made Jiraiya's eyes widen.

Jiraiya gasped, then gave her a thumbs-up, "No problem at all."

'Not bad, this kid's got some tricks up his sleeve.' Naruto thought to himself.

Naruto hadn't really watched Boruto's series, only heard bits and pieces of it. The most famous thing Boruto had ever done was cheating on an exam, which had caused quite the stir.

Originally, Naruto had thought Boruto was a bit of a slacker, but now he saw Boruto could read people well. With just a few clues from Jiraiya's words and actions, Boruto figured out his personality and used the Sexy Technique to win him over.

'Well! As expected of my son!'

Despite this, Naruto had no intention of revealing their identities just yet.

Boruto thought he knew a lot, but Naruto actually knows even more.

With a thoughtful expression, Naruto commented, "I didn't expect you to know the Transformation Technique too."

Boruto scratched his head and said, "Just a little. As performers, we have to know some crowd-pleasing tricks."

"In that case, I'll reluctantly believe you're just performers."

Naruto pondered for a moment, and said, "But don't think it was my fault you got chased by those girls earlier. It wasn't me who caused that, it was all the Pervy Sage..."

Naruto still wanted to project the image of a strict, admirable father. Though he looked innocent and unassuming, and though he might play a bit of a double standard, he had no qualms about pushing the blame onto Jiraiya if it meant Boruto would believe him.

But as Naruto turned around, he realized that Jiraiya had already slipped away.

In the distance, Jiraiya was chatting up a passing young lady.

Seeing this, Naruto felt even more confident, 'Jiraiya was truly setting the stage for me.'

Naruto seized the moment and said, "See that? It's that old pervert who's been making things difficult for me."

Boruto nodded, trusting what he saw with his own eyes and couldn't help but join in: "Is he really one of the legendary Sannin? Did I get the wrong guy?"

"Probably not…"

Sasuke replied, sounding somewhat resigned.

Boruto then looked at Naruto, his expression shifting to one of guilt, "It seems that I have misunderstood you before."

"No worries," Naruto replied, patting Boruto on the shoulder, "I'm pretty forgiving, and as long as you've got it figured out, that's enough."

Boruto was immediately touched. He felt that he had misunderstood his father before. He never thought that his father was so outstanding since he was a child.

'No wonder he can become the Hokage.'

As they continued walking, Jiraiya seemed to vanish somewhere along the way, likely chasing down some 'inspiration' he'd seen.

Naruto could only sigh helplessly at this. As a fellow man, he understood Jiraiya's tendencies well.

Still, with his son around, Naruto had to keep his behavior in check. After all, he needed to uphold a respectable image.

Anyway, there is plenty of material, and he can see it sooner or later.

Boruto, who was walking in front, was whispering with Sasuke. He thought his voice was very quiet, but Naruto's sharp hearing caught every word.

Boruto said with satisfaction, "I guess this turned out alright. This way, we can stay close to him."

"Then you stay here first, I'll leave for a while."

Sasuke said as he started to walk away.

Boruto was puzzled, "Why?"

"Did you forget what that turtle warned us? Interacting too much with familiar people could alter the future. Stay with Naruto and don't stray too far. I'll monitor things from nearby."

"That's true, but..."

Before Boruto could finish his words, Sasuke vanished.

Shaking his head helplessly, Boruto turned to Naruto and explained, "Don't worry, he won't go far."

Naruto wasn't worried about Sasuke at all, as he was more interested in spending time with his son.

Still, he couldn't quite understand why Sasuke and Boruto had come back to protect him.

'What was the real reason?'

Naruto couldn't figure it out, but he didn't dwell on it. Anyway, everything would become clear in time.

As evening approached, Naruto turned to Boruto and said, "To make sure you don't run off, you'll stay with me."

Boruto nodded silently. He was actually quite interested in seeing where Naruto lived when he was a child.

Soon, they arrived at Naruto's residence.

Seeing the modest little house, Boruto thought to himself, 'So this is where Dad lived as a kid? It's so shabby and small.'

"It's a bit messy, don't mind it," Naruto said, unlocking the door and stepping inside.

Boruto followed him in, noticing the graffiti on the walls and the empty ramen cups scattered on the table.

"It really is messy."

Boruto said, not missing the chance to tease, " The place is so messy and shabby… don't you ever clean up?"

Thinking of his own home, which was kept in perfect order by Hinata, Boruto felt a flicker of superiority.

Naruto gave a strained smile and said in a helpless tone, "I can't help it. This is what it's like to live alone."

"Alone? Why are you living alone?" Boruto was a little confused.

Naruto shrugged and said, "Because I don't have parents."

"Don't have?"

The smile on Boruto's face disappeared instantly. He'd been so focused on comparing himself to Naruto that he'd forgotten Naruto's parents, his grandparents, had sacrificed themselves for the village a long time ago.

Naruto had grown up alone, a struggle Boruto knew he could never endure.

Realizing this, Boruto's sense of superiority faded.

After all, he was only able to grow up in a happy family because of his hardworking father and loving mother.

What qualifications does he have to look down at Naruto...
