Chapter 24: Chapter 24 The Devil's Whisper
[It is detected that the host has stayed in the dango shop for one hour. Sign-in successful. Reward: Hand-Seal-Free Ninjutsu, Rasengan!]
'What? Rasengan?'
Naruto was stunned for a moment.
He had never expected the reward to be Rasengan, which was far beyond his expectations.
If he has to say what his favorite Ninjutsu in Naruto is, it would undoubtedly be the Rasengan.
After all, this Ninjutsu is not only extremely powerful, it also does not require any hand seals. With the power of Kyubi under his control, he can seamlessly perform the Rasengan anytime.
The only minor drawback was that Rasengan could only be used at close range, but Naruto is already very happy about this.
One of the best things about Rasengan was that it could evolve into the Big Ball Rasengan or Ultra-Big Ball Rasengan with enough Chakra, and when combined with Wind Attribute Chakra, it could become the Rasenshuriken… a long-range attack that mimicked the barrage effect of Dragon Ball's energy blasts.
Of course, all of these would require extensive training.
However, with the basics of the Rasengan down, all its variations would be within reach.
He was just puzzled as to why a dango shop would award him such an amazing reward.
After some thought, he glanced down at the dango in his hand and suddenly realized that the dango was shaped into little balls, which was kind of similar to the hand-rolling motion needed for the Rasengan.
'It was a bit of a stretch, but perhaps it was just how the system interpreted it.'
Naruto felt no complaints whatsoever. Since the system gave him such a good reward, he was so happy that he couldn't contain himself.
A wave of memories poured into his mind, and he felt warmth gathering in his palms as the system bestowed the knowledge. Once the process completed, he had fully mastered the Rasengan.
To the extent that now, just a small clench of his hand could summon a gentle swirl of Chakra in his palm, which could condense into a Rasengan at any time.
"Sasuke, go handle the bill. We should head back to the Academy."
After finishing the last dango, Naruto felt incredibly satisfied. This sign-in result had been a complete success.
By the time they returned to the classroom, most of the students had already left, and only Sakura was pacing back and forth, with a worried look etched across her face.
"Hey, my dear little sister, what's got you so anxious?" Naruto was in such a good mood that even seeing Sakura didn't dampen his spirits.
Sakura quickly turned around, and upon seeing Naruto and Sasuke, she let out a sigh of relief before snapping back to her usual self, "Naruto, who's your little sister? I don't acknowledge having a brother like you. Now spill it, where did you take Sasuke and why did you come back only now? Do you have any idea that all the other teams have already left? If our teacher hadn't been late, you'd be in trouble again."
"Sister?" Sasuke raised an eyebrow in surprise.
Naruto ignored Sakura's outburst and instead explained to Sasuke: "The Haruno family took me in, so I'm technically Sakura's older brother now."
Naruto's eyes gleamed with mischief as he added, "By the way, Sasuke, why don't you join the Haruno Family too?"
"Why should I join? I'm a member of the Uchiha Clan." Sasuke frowned.
"Don't forget, you still need someone precious to you, right?" Naruto hinted subtly.
Hearing this, Sasuke was taken aback.
'That's right, to awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan, I would need to experience the death of someone precious to him. Currently, I was alone, so where would I find such a person?'
Sasuke felt that joining the Haruno Family is a good idea.
However, when these words fell into Sakura's ears, they took on a different meaning.
The anger on her face vanished in an instant, replaced by a shy expression: "Sasuke, Naruto-nii-san is right. Why don't you join our family too? Our whole family would treasure you."
Hearing this, Naruto was speechless, 'This little girl changed so quickly that when she heard that Sasuke might join her family. She even started calling me 'nii-san' against her will.'
But the more she acted this way, the more uncomfortable Naruto felt.
He kept up his encouragement, saying: "Sasuke, you see? Sakura is all for it. I think this plan is totally viable. And here's a thought… don't just join as an adopted son, go ahead and become their son-in-law. You seem like a decent guy, so I'd be more than happy to entrust my little sister to you."
"Aah~" Sakura instantly covered her face in shyness, her cheeks turning as red as an apple.
But she didn't notice the conflicted look on Sasuke's face.
At that moment, Sasuke's gaze turned complex as he looked at Naruto. He understood Naruto's intentions: by making Sakura his lover, she would become the person he cherished most. Then, if he had to sacrifice her, it would lead to the awakening of the Mangekyo Sharingan. Yet, the thought of harming someone innocent was a hurdle he found hard to cross.
Naruto leaned close to Sasuke and whispered in his ear, "Sasuke, can't you see? Sakura likes you. Her dream is to marry you. By marrying her, you're actually helping her fulfill that dream. And if you want her to become your most precious person, you just have to genuinely care for her, appreciate her, and treat her well. You'll be putting in so much for her, and in return, she'll help you awaken the Mangekyo. It's a fair trade."
Hearing this, Sasuke hesitated, then tentatively asked: "Sakura, do you really support me becoming a live-in son-in-law?"
Without a moment's hesitation, Sakura replied, "Of course I support it, and with the help of Naruto-nii-san, I'm sure my mom will agree too. Don't worry, I'd go through anything for you."
"You see that? She's willing to go through anything for you! She's ready to make sacrifices for you, so what's there to hesitate about? If you miss this opportunity, you might never get it again." Naruto continued whispering in Sasuke's ear like a devil.
Hearing this, Sasuke finally made up his mind: "Then after today, I'll go back with you guys!"
"Yay!" Sakura was overjoyed, even hugging Naruto in her excitement: "Naruto-nii-san, you're the best! You totally get me! If this works out, I'll listen to you from now on."
Hearing this, Naruto could only shake his head with a wry smile.
'This little girl was basically being sold and still helping count the money for the seller.'
'Sure enough, girls of this age are only thinking about love.'
However, Naruto did not intend to really kill Sakura. Though he wasn't fond of her, he wasn't about to make her life a bargaining chip.
His real goal was simply to make Sakura listen to him. As long as she didn't bother him or cause trouble, that was enough.
As for Sasuke, he had also fallen into Naruto's trap the moment he agreed to this.
Awakening the Mangekyou requires a true bond, a genuinely cherished person… close doesn't cut it.
When Sasuke eventually grew to cherish Sakura deeply, how could he bring himself to kill her?
Even if we take a step back, Sasuke still had an overly protective big brother. Itachi had prepared for every step, even for Sasuke's Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, so there was no way Sakura would ever be harmed.
Worst case, when Naruto became strong enough, he can go find Obito and take his eye.
In short, there are plenty of options.
Right now, Naruto was more concerned about Kakashi who was about to appear.
Don't be fooled by Kakashi's appearance of a cool Shinobi with a mask on, but whether it is reading Icha Icha Paradise or pulling pranks like the One Thousand Years of Death, it undoubtedly proves that Kakashi is perverted, sly, and darkly humorous.
'Kakashi definitely needed a little punishment, a way to show him who's boss.'
Naruto also recalled how Kakashi would get hit on the head with an eraser when he entered the room, so he felt he should start with that.
'But a blackboard eraser stuck in the door gap is too weak, I should think of something more powerful.'
After glancing around, a mischievous glint appeared in his eye.
"This will do perfectly!"
