Stop Hypnotizing Me, Antagonist Princess!

Chapter 139: Kill Him_2

Xiya was also taking advantage of this opportunity, secretly regarding him with a gaze filled with hatred.

Behind him was Third Imperial Princess Ivyst, an existence he inexplicably found repulsive, though not to the same extent as the young man.

Despite seemingly having weakened in power, she was nonetheless a Sixth Rank Demigod.

If he wanted to kill that guy, he would definitely make an enemy of her.

It would be best to find an opportunity to assassinate her unnoticed.

As Xiya stared at Lynn, he formulated a plan in his mind.

Just as his thoughts were engrossed, he suddenly saw a black-haired youth in the distance pointing this way.

In an instant, everyone's gaze converged on his face.

Huh?

What's the situation?

Xiya was stunned.

...

Lynn's words were like a giant stone thrown into a calm lake, instantly stirring up thousands of waves.

Looking at the young military officer Lynn was pointing to, everyone wore expressions of disbelief.

After a brief silence, murmurs gradually began to arise.

People started looking at Lynn as if he were a fool.

Colonel Hayden sneered, "Do you even know whom you are pointing at?"

"Who?"

Lynn was curious.

"He's the man who personally decapitated the Fifth-tier Legendary Demon 'Lord of Dead Souls' in the battle at Saint Faros Fortress, Xiya Asolan. He returned to Glostin to attend the victory banquet with the Third Prince."

"Do you think a man like that could be a spy for the Demon Clan?"

Everyone, including Hillena, gently shook their heads.

Lynn laughed, "Just because he killed a Fifth Rank Legendary from the Demon Clan, you're sure he's not a spy?"

"Apart from him and his squad members, who else witnessed the entire process of him slaying the Great Demon?"

"Or how can you be sure that whatever 'Lord of Dead Souls' didn't corrupt his consciousness and personality, indirectly controlling his actions and manners?"

"That's really naive!"

These words left Colonel Hayden, who wanted to retort, frozen in place.

It wasn't that he believed the guy's nonsense; he simply didn't know how to refute it.

To be fair,

under normal circumstances, this kind of speculation is more plausible, as it's somewhat unbelievable that a Fourth Rank would defeat a Fifth Rank Legend.

But... that guy is a monster, right?

Possessing multiple faiths, even the number of Divine-given factors he holds far exceeds that of ordinary people.

With his strength, no matter what kind of military exploits he achieved, no one would doubt him.

But does no doubt mean that all possibilities can be excluded?

For a moment, Colonel Hayden's gaze was somewhat pained.

He knew this kid was sophistically arguing, yet he had no way to deal with him.

Lynn seemed to have read his thoughts and shook his head, "Do you think I'm sophistically arguing?"

"If that's the case, then let him come here, and I'll ask him a few questions myself."

Saying so, he looked indifferently toward the blond youth in the distance.

However, he felt somewhat emotional inside.

So it has come to this.

Facing the original male protagonist just like that.

For some reason, Lynn had tried many times but found that the system couldn't bring up Xiya Asolan's profile.

It turned out the girl beside him, as cold as a doll, was another S-level plot character besides Hillena.

Recalling the words Miss Witch had said to him on the parchment last night, Lynn became increasingly thoughtful.

On the other side, hearing Lynn's commanding words, Xiya, despite being angry, walked over slowly to clear up the bizarre accusation and saluted the two princes.

"I've seen the two Highnesses."

Princess Ivyst did not respond to him, staring intensely at Lynn, her crimson eyes shimmering with fascination.

Clearly, Lynn's demeanor, so self-assured and commanding in front of everyone, always struck a chord in her heart.

Hillena's expression was icy, "Xiya is my subordinate. If you have anything to say, say it in front of us."

She discerned Lynn's true intention to divert the trouble onto her by bringing up this groundless allegation.

However, she knew clearly that Xiya was not a spy from the Demon Clan.

Thus, Hillena was also curious to see what kind of ridiculous assertions this man would make.

Feeling everyone's gaze, Lynn subtly withdrew his hand from Princess Ivyst's grasp. After all, now was the time to put on a strong front, what was the point of being overly affectionate with a woman?

Unfortunately, Princess Ivyst rejected his gesture.

Lynn maintained his composure, looking at the cold and blonde young man, "Tell me, which Divine do you believe in?"

Xiya frowned slightly, "I am a follower of the Silent Church, and I believe in the Bright Moon Goddess."

Though he claimed so, he actually had other beliefs, including the Heavenly Principle Church, the Fertility Church, and even the War God Church.

In short, he was a religious dabbler.

However, Lynn didn't bother to correct these details but simply asked indifferently, "Since that is so, can you swear to your gods that you will answer all my following questions truthfully?"

"Why should I..."

Xiya was about to retort but was stopped by a look from Hillena.

Seeing this, a flicker of annoyance and helplessness crossed his eyes, then he spoke indifferently, "I swear."

Lynn nodded, "Very well."

"Captain Xiya, before today, have we ever had any interaction?"

"None."

"Lynn Bartleion, or any of his relatives and family, has there ever been any harm done to you?"

"None as well."

"So, for someone who is practically a stranger in your eyes, you have no reason to hate me?"

Hearing this, Xiya, who had been frowning all along, seemed to understand something, his heart skipped a beat.

Yet feeling the encouraging looks of the people around him, he took a deep breath, "Correct."

Hearing this, Lynn's expression grew even more serious, "Since that is the case, please answer me."

"Why, from the moment I stepped out of the Jump Transition Matrix until just now, has your gaze been filled with hatred and intentions of murder toward me?"

"Or perhaps, can you deny in front of everyone here that what I am describing is completely fabricated?"

Princess Ivyst glanced at the Lie Detector Ring on her hand, seemingly waiting for his response.

Xiya stared at the composed Lynn, then showed a hint of scorn, "I thought you were looking for some sort of excuse."

"To accuse me, someone you've met for the first time, of being a spy for the Demon Clan just because you find them disagreeable?"

"That is absolutely absurd," he said, shaking his head.

Lynn's gaze suddenly took on a teasing tone, "So you admit that you have developed baseless hatred and intentions of murder toward a stranger upon first meeting?"

Xiya's eyes grew icy, "What of it?"

"It matters not," Lynn's lips curled into an enigmatic smile, "Of course, you are free to have such thoughts toward any stranger you meet for the first time."

However, that stranger could not be Lynn.

Nor could it be Lynn, who had been targeted by Kushustan with a demon assassination order, and even now hosted a vile curse in his spiritual world.

The reason he had not asked Miss Witch to remove that curse was precisely to handle potential situations like this in the future.

After all, having survived the hands of two great demons and returned to the Imperial Capital, he was bound to be investigated and interrogated by various forces.

So he had left himself a way out.

"I'm done asking," Lynn said, lowering his head to Princess Ivyst softly.

Throughout it all, her ring had not emitted the slightest red light.

Meaning, every word Xiya spoke was true.

Princess Ivyst nodded, then casually instructed the subordinates behind her, "Kill him."
