Story Breaker

As Yoon Harin approached where the sounds originated from she saw the aftermath of a battle: destroyed trees and fire were everywhere, corpses of calamities, and piles of weapons surrounded the area. In the middle of the battlefield stood a man with black hair and golden eyes. His cadet uniform was rough and slightly scorched, his face covered in soot and sweat. He had a tired expression as he stared into the sky in a daze, Yoon Harin stared at the man momentarily then tried scanning him with her skill, yet something strange had happened.

Still confused about what that meant, she then saw a familiar navy and crimson sword out of all the weapons on the ground, the sword Magnus which one of the side characters had used during the entrance exam, which belonged to Arthur Corvin's greatest rival Damien Gray.

Scenarios quickly ran through Yoon Harin's head: did this guy eliminate Damien, or somehow manage to get Magnus before him? More questions filled her head, was this cadet an extra? If so, why were they here? She thought of more and more questions about the man she had seen in front of her questioning his identity. Then suddenly the man collapsed, his body giving out. Yoon Harin hesitantly walked closer to the unconscious man and crouched down reading his name tag on his cadet uniform, "Kim Taejune," and paused for a moment. Then information suddenly filled her head and she knew something plot-related about the story.

'Koreans are rare in this world, the entire peninsula of Korea was obliterated due to the tower of greed. So when a Korean usually shows up in the story they are a major character, and out of the 15000 cadets taking this entrance exam only 10 of them are Korean and all of them pass and end up as major characters; but now there were 12, including herself and this person.

Yoon Harin sighed a bit annoyed and still confused as hell. She checked the objectives, feeling like the story was being rushed and becoming more and more chaotic for her.

'3 hours have already gone by?! It only felt like a few minutes; I thought only an hour had gone by at least...'

Yoon Harin stared at Kim Taejune before sighing once again, as she thought of the second wave, recalling the events of the story.

'The first wave mainly consists of common calamities, while the second wave has mostly common and major calamities and that event... where Arthur kills the great calamity, Eldrin, the king of wolves.'

In the story, Eldrin was a lycanthrope with completely snow-white fur and a muscular build, who had a high amount of intelligence which they used to overwrite their AI during the entrance exam then establish a territory in the jungle they were in. Eldrin also freed multiple common and major calamities from their AI and created an army that wiped out almost half of the cadets.

Sighing once more Yoon Harin grabbed and dragged Kim Taejune's body away from the battlefield and found a cave nearby to rest in, she leaned against the cave wall while dropping Kim Taejune on the floor gently.

'God, how is he this heavy? He looks skinnier than Jiho... I should train my strength stat when I have a chance or I'm not gonna survive like this.'

Yoon Harin was exhausted from walking for so long, her mind was overstimulated by the information she had gained almost every time she used her skill. She questioned whether sleeping here was a good idea with the first wave ending in an hour and someone she didn't even know unconscious next to her but she was too tired to even complain.

Yoon Harin muttered to herself before slowly closing her eyes and drifting into sleep.
