Strongest Necromancer System

Chapter 12: Plan of Action

The four new wolves granted Jason another massive boost in his stats from the system, and he saw another 120 kill points added to the 20 kill points he already had. His mana shot up by twenty points, and he felt his strength increasing as well.

Jason wasted no time as he changed his kill points into upgrade points. He only had 140 KP, so he had 40 KP after the transfer. He called on another of the wolves that fought well in the previous battle, and the wolf came forward excitedly as he transferred the upgrade points into its system.

The wolf shone with the same brilliant glow as the previous one as it grew in size and power. Its fangs elongated, its claws grew longer and sharper, and the streaks on its body became brighter.

Once it was done, Jason raised his hand and pet the wolf on the side of its neck, making it wag its tail happily.

Now that Jason had two subordinates in the Pawn Class Rank II, he had even less to fear, and he felt more confident about heading toward the other patrolling wolves. He looked at his system and saw that most of his stats were already at D Rank, with only his Durability still being at E Rank.

'Is it cause the wolves don't have high durability? I was able to cut one of them with a regular knife even though they are magic beasts, so their durability can't be that high. Their other stats are stronger, that's why my other three stats are growing faster than Durability.'

Just a few more subordinates would allow him to grow to a D rank in every statistic. But for now, he had to keep himself alert and make sure he didn't get ambushed.

Jason's eyes were now glowing with a brighter red light as the world around him slowed into his focus. The skill Heightened Focus still had the abilities of its previous two variations, allowing Jason to both see in the dark and see far away objects as well.

Movement from his left side alerted Jason to the presence of more wolves, and the wolves surrounding Jason turned in that direction as they felt the presence as well.

The bushes parted and four wolves appeared in the small clearing. But once they saw the two large wolves as well as the other six smaller wolves that were all watching them, they stopped and dropped low into a defensive stance. They bared their fangs dangerously and began to take cautious steps backward to try and run away.

Jason sent a mental command to the wolves.

'Attack!'

They pounced with ferocity, and Jason's mouth spread into a grin as he began walking forward after them.

Jason and his Legion moved across the forest without any fear and killed any wolf that he came across with ease.

After killing two more packs of wolves, he finally reached the area where the wolves pointed out as the Boss' base.

Jason allowed his eyes to trail over the area, and he saw that there were fifteen regular wolves scattered around. They all looked imposing and dangerous, but there were three wolves that seemed like they would pose the most threat.

Two of the wolves were as tall and large as the Pawn Rank II wolves that Jason had upgraded. They were lying on the ground in front of an elevated mound of dirt and looked around with predatory eyes for any sign of danger.

And the last wolf was sitting on top of the mound of dirt while chewing on a large bone.

The wolf was at least twice as large as the Pawn Class Rank II wolves, with black fur and massive fangs that gleamed under the moonlight. Its claws were as long as Jason's leg, and Jason knew that this was not going to be an easy battle.

'It's a lot bigger than I thought it'd be.' [A/N: that's what she said.]

Jason crouched and released a tired sigh. He had been fighting and sending mental commands to the Legion all this time, so he was feeling a drain in his stamina already.

The wolves that he upgraded also took up a lot more stamina than the others, so that was adding to the load.

He glanced at his system to see how many mana points he had left, and he frowned.

Mana Points: 100/240

He had less than half of it left, so he decided that he would rest for a while to allow his mana to regenerate before he thought about attacking.

The regeneration rate of his mana had also been increasing every time he ranked up, and he knew that his mana was being replenished faster than before. The only thing that would take chunks out of his mana was resurrecting the dead.

Jason and the wolves were all hiding a far distance away from the Boss' hideout to make sure that they couldn't see them, so there shouldn't be any issues if they rested there.

Jason also needed to make more Pawn Rank II wolves if he wanted to stand a chance against the Boss.

It would take 500 kill points if he wanted to upgrade any of the Pawn Rank II wolves to Pawn Rank III, but he only had 280 kill points left after killing the previous eight wolves.

That means he would have to upgrade two more wolves to Pawn Rank II and just use them to handle everything while hoping it would be enough.

If he did that, then he would have four Pawn Rank II wolves and twelve Pawn Rank I wolves.

There were fifteen regular wolves in the Boss' hideout, so he would send the twelve Pawn Rank I wolves after them and have them take care of those ten quickly.

Although they were outnumbered, Jason's wolves were stronger, so Jason didn't have any doubt that they could handle themselves.

While that was happening, he would also send two of the Pawn Rank II wolves after the two subordinates that sat beside the boss. Those two looked like they would be a lot of trouble, so Jason would make six of the Pawn Rank I wolves go to help the Pawn Rank II wolves fight the Boss' subordinates once they were done with the fifteen regular wolves.

As for the main Boss, Jason would put the remaining two Pawn Rank II wolves up against him and he would provide backup to make sure they weren't overwhelmed.

Jason had grown a lot over the past few battles and he was not a C Rank, so he was more than capable of taking care of himself in a fight. He would stay back for the most part, but if the wolves looked like they were struggling, then he would step in.

Also, he would make the other six Pawn Rank I wolves come in to help when they finish with the fifteen regular wolves.

The plan was simple, but it was the most reasonable way to deal with all the wolves while making sure that none of his subordinates were killed.
