Strongest Possessor of One Piece

Chapter 31: SPOP Chapter 31 Amaterasu

Rojen's voice carried a weight of solemnity, and his serious expression left no room for doubt. It was a demeanor that commanded attention.

Hearing his declaration, Dragon narrowed his eyes.

"You think one move will decide the outcome? You're underestimating me far too much!"

As one of the strongest among the Marines' young first-generation elites, Dragon carried a natural sense of pride. He had never considered himself inferior to anyone.

A faint tremor coursed through his body, and a barely perceptible wind began to swirl around him. It was almost invisible but unmistakably present.

Rojen paid no heed to Dragon's actions. Instead, he closed his eyes and allowed his mind to extend outward, perceiving everything within and around him.

At that moment, it felt as though time itself had slowed to a halt.

The thunder roaring in the skies, the waves rising and falling in the sea— they all painted vivid images in his mind. Every detail was clear and vivid, as though the world itself had frozen before him.

Simultaneously, the knowledge and abilities of ''Uchiha Itachi'' surged through Rojen's thoughts, melding with him more deeply than ever before.

Abruptly, Rojen's eyes snapped open.

The three tomoe in his Sharingan spun rapidly. His scarlet eyes deepened, now as dark and rich as freshly spilled blood.

"Amaterasu!"

The low, resonant word escaped his lips as his gaze locked onto the void where Dragon stood.

In an instant, pitch-black flames materialized, burning fiercely from nothingness. Within moments, the flames engulfed Dragon.

"What is this?!"

Dragon's voice was filled with shock as he realized the flames had already begun consuming his clothes.

The intense heat seared his skin, causing it to wrinkle and blister. Pain radiated from the surface of his body, spreading rapidly, and filling him with dread.

Dragon's figure blurred as he moved swiftly through the void, trying to evade the relentless flames. But to his horror, the more he dodged, the more the flames pursued him.

Rojen's gaze followed Dragon's every movement, tracking him with precision. Wherever Dragon fled, clusters of black fire erupted, chasing him relentlessly and enclosing him in a blazing inferno.

In a matter of seconds, the battlefield was engulfed in a sea of black flames. The once pristine beach now burned with a heat so intense that even the sand itself began to melt. Waves lapping at the shore caught fire, an impossibility that left Dragon utterly stunned.

"What kind of cursed flames are these?!"

Dragon's heart raced as he noticed the fire consuming his sleeve had spread to his arm within mere moments. No matter what he did, the flames refused to extinguish.

"This is insane!"

His expression hardened. Activating his powers, Dragon severed the burning sleeve from his arm with an invisible blade. The discarded fabric disintegrated into nothingness before it even touched the ground.

"Phew!"

Turning his gaze back to Rojen, Dragon saw his opponent standing firm. Rojen's crimson eyes glowed ominously, and the black flames surged forth like a tidal wave, forming an impenetrable wall of destruction.

"This kid… he's terrifying!"

The black flames were unrelenting, capable of reducing everything in their path to ash.

Dragon tried multiple times to close the distance between them with his incredible speed, but the flames barred his path like an indomitable barrier.

Even more chilling was how the flames multiplied exponentially. Within just a few breaths, the fire had encircled Dragon completely, leaving him with no escape.

"Huff, huff!"

Rojen panted heavily, blood seeping from his scarlet eyes. His face had grown pale, but his gaze remained fixed on Dragon, who was now trapped twenty meters away. Rojen dared not relax for even a second.

Dragon's speed was unmatched, and his devastating power at close range was enough to kill Rojen instantly if given the chance.

Rojen was certain that a cornered Dragon, unleashing his full strength, would be capable of delivering a single, overwhelming attack of unimaginable ferocity.

However, from the moment he began setting his plans in motion—calculating positions, flame release speeds, and even the precise locations—Rojen was confident that this final moment would be the one to end his formidable enemy.

"Die!"

With a low growl, the crimson in Rojen's eyes deepened. Two streaks of blood-red tears burst forth, streaming down his cheeks.

At this moment, his face twisted into a grotesque and almost unrecognizable expression.

"Weng weng weng!"

In the void, the pitch-black flames trembled violently, and an enormous mass of fire suddenly erupted. It surged downward, enveloping the already flame-surrounded Dragon completely.

"Not good!"

Seeing the massive fireball descending on him and the dense black flames closing in from all directions, Dragon's heart pounded with an overwhelming sense of danger.

In the next instant, the all-encompassing black flames engulfed Dragon entirely.

"Huff, huff, huff!"

Rojen gasped for air, his scarlet eyes fading rapidly back to black. He cast one last glance at the spot just 20 meters away, where Dragon was now buried in a sea of flames. Without hesitation, he turned and sprinted in the opposite direction.

In just a few quick movements, Rojen's figure vanished from sight.

Fifteen breaths later, Rojen had already put a kilometer between himself and Dragon. Channeling chakra to his feet, he pushed his legs to their limit, running at full speed.

"Run! I need to get out of here as fast as possible!"

"I 'must' leave this place!"

Rear Admiral Dragon, one of the most outstanding elites among the Marines' young first generation, was not someone to be underestimated. Even after using ''Amaterasu'', Rojen didn't believe he could truly defeat Dragon.

Thirty breaths later, Rojen's breakneck speed began to falter.

Ahead of him, where his ship was docked, three layers of defenses surrounded it. Three Marines, each bearing high-ranking insignia, stood at the forefront with stern expressions. A quick glance revealed at least a thousand Marines stationed on and around the ship.

The sheer number of Marines encircling the area was a testament to how much importance they placed on Rojen.

While Dragon battled him, the Marines stationed in Loguetown and directly under Dragon's command had already cut off Rojen's escape route. Their meticulous planning and impenetrable formations demonstrated the efficiency and discipline of the regular military.

"Enemy spotted! Prepare for battle!"

As Rojen's figure came into view, a loud, commanding voice boomed from one of the officers standing on the ship. The shout instantly heightened the alertness of every Marine present.

"'Ka ka ka ka ka!'"

A chorus of metallic clicks rang out as countless rifles were aimed at Rojen. A chilling, murderous aura surged forth, sending shivers down his spine.

Narrowing his eyes, a cold glint flashed in them.

Rather than slowing down, Rojen let out a guttural roar, pushing his speed to its absolute limit.

"'Kill!'"
