Strongest Warlock - Wizard World Irregular

Chapter 1053: A World's Fate [Part 2]

Professor Rinehart had slapped the crystal so strongly that it flew as fast as the speed of sound, leaving a trail of red light that drew a red line across the heavens.

Seeing where the red crystal was headed, all of them uncontrollably gasped as they watched it fly straight to the young man who had just destroyed a Teleportation Gate.

The young man, too focused on his task, had no idea what was about to hit him.

Since he was fighting a Golden Gargoyle half a minute ago, he couldn't be bothered to divert his attention anywhere.

Suddenly, he felt something slam against his back, making him stagger.

Fortunately, he recovered himself in time and prevented himself from planting his face to the ground.

Ethan didn't feel any killing intent or any malicious attacks aimed at him from behind, so he was caught completely by surprise when something slammed into his back.

'What happened?!' Ethan asked Sebastian, and His Other Half, who were fighting not far from his location.

'Hahaha! Something good happened!' Sebastian laughed.

But since he was in his Hydra Form, his laughter only sounded like an aggressive roaring to the heavens, making the Gargoyles flee from his surroundings in fright.

Ethan's Other Half also laughed out loud because the young man didn't know the good fortune that had been presented to him.

Before Ethan could further question why his two comrades were laughing, his body suddenly went stiff, and his eyes rolled up into their sockets.

The young man then collapsed on the ground, his entire body glowing faintly in red light.

Sebastian, Ethan's Other Half, Dainsleif, and Areadbhair encircled the unconscious boy, acting as his Guardians.

Ethan would need time to digest the authority of the world, and with it, he would gain a power that many in the world coveted.

Professor Rinehart looked at Ethan's direction and smiled faintly.

He then lightly tapped his Magic Bag and stored Obelith's body, whose life had ended under his smash.

Professor Barret and Edmond landed beside their friend and looked at him with questioning gazes.

"If I were only two decades younger, then I might have considered it," Professor Rinehart said because he knew that his two close friends were wondering why he didn't take it. "I'm already old, and I prefer being the Headmaster of the Academy. It's time to pass the torch to the younger generation."

Edmond rubbed his chin before nodding his head. "I figured as much. It's such a shame that I don't have a granddaughter that has the same age as Ethan. Ah… but since Lilian is my disciple, she also counts as my half-daughter. I guess all is good."

"Seriously, even now, you're still being calculative." Professor Barret shook his head helplessly before shifting his gaze at the Gargoyles who had already lost their will to fight.

The members of the Alliance had also stopped fighting.

Since the battle had already been won, there was no need for needless sacrifices.

The battle had been intense, and their side had also suffered over a hundred casualties.

These casualties had yet to include the Giant Wolves that followed Lady Xanda to battle.

Even though the powerhouses like Professor Barret, Godfrey, Cedric, and Edmond had done their best to limit the deaths on their side, it was unavoidable.

They were fighting against an entire realm, and the fact that they weren't wiped out was already a miracle in itself.

Suddenly, a wolf howl spread on the battlefield.

Lady Xanda howled loudly and proudly, which was soon echoed by her children.

Countless wolf howls broke the silence of the battlefield, declaring themselves victorious in battle.

Some of the Firbolgs, who were druids in nature, also joined the howling, for they were also very happy to have participated in this battle for survival.

The Sylvan Clan had chosen to run away and hide in the past.

But now, they no longer wished to hide.

They would face the dangers alongside their newfound friends and allies, who had shown them that united, they stood a chance against any and all adversities that they might face in the future.

Chloe, Illumina, Princess Wilhelmina, and Princess Ariel also moved to Ethan's side to serve as his protectors.

Cedric and Lyall arrived shortly after because they, too, wanted to ensure the young man's safety.

The Gargoyles hovered in the sky and stared at the unconscious young man who was glowing as he lay on the ground.

They knew that they no longer had control over the world of Arkanthos.

Now, they had to make a choice.

Either go to the other Planes of Existence and try to build a new empire, or stay and wait for whatever was about to come.

After thinking about it, more than half of the Gargoyles decided to leave and headed to the two remaining Teleportation Gates, which led to another world.

Those who chose to remain landed on the ground and waited.

Of course, some of the stronger Gargoyles were thinking of devouring Ethan in the hope that they would also devour the authority of the world.

However, when they saw that Professor Rinehart sat cross-legged a few meters away from Ethan, all their courage melted away.

They had seen how the old man had one-sidedly pummeled their Emperor to oblivion.

Since Obelith didn't stand a chance against the Headmaster of Brynhildr Academy, then what could they do against him?

Professor Rinehart noticed Chloe's anxiousness and decided to reassure her that everything was going to be fine.

"Ethan is simply in the process of gaining the acceptance of this world," Professor Rinehart said. "There's no need for you to worry about him."

"Is getting the acceptance of this world dangerous?" Chloe inquired.

"I don't know," Professor Rinehart replied. "But I believe he will be able to overcome whatever trials await him."

Professor Rinehart had read the records of such events, and some people failed in the process of taking over the Authority of a realm that they had captured.

This was why those with the title of Conqueror played an important role in the Lands of Saraqael.

Ethan's Uncle, Vincent, was one of those Conquerors—people who could easily assimilate the Authority of a conquered world and bring it under his command.

As such, he would only usually appear on the battlefield after the fighting was done or when the main force had advanced, leaving only the dead and dying behind.

While everyone was waiting for Ethan to gain the acceptance of the world, the young man's soul was pulled to the consciousness of Arkanthos, where the Will of a Progenitor was waiting for his arrival.

This Will belonged to the Gargoyle Progenitor, and he wasn't too happy that someone dared to take over one of the Worlds that was under his command.
