Chapter 456: Disastors
"Instead of expanding into another city, we're gonna make this city completely our own. It would be difficult for us to hold our ground if our own home is infested with competitors." Wei Jun said as he looked out at the new city that was normal to others but not to normal to him. The last system update had brought forth many powers, gangs, and families of different kinds. Wei Jun wanted to make sure that, at the very least, the Yuan Yin city was completely his before he moved out.
"Is there any word from Long Bao City?" Wei Jun asked.
"For now, we're the only ones there, but there are whispers that the imperial family is looking into it." Mark Wilson replied.
"Hmmm..." Wei Jun mused for a while before he looked at him and asked, "If I'm not wrong, then we have someone far more powerful than even me. Someone on the level of taking down a dragon."
"I am always indebted to you, my lord. But I cannot..." Mark Wilson stopped. Although he would do anything for Wei Jun, he didn't want to put her in danger, even if he knew she was very strong. "Well, if you can't, then that's all right." Wei Jun said. He didn't want to needlessly push. If the time was right, Mark Wilson would do it on his own, but even if he didn't, Wei Jun had a feeling he wouldn't be able to force him.
The system and the feelings deep down wouldn't allow him to. "Then we're gonna have to do it the old-fashioned way."
"And that is, boss?" Li Wei had a feeling her name was about to come up.
"How lucky I am to have you." Wei Jun couldn't help but say.
"Does that mean I've been a good girl?" Li Wei asked with twinkling eyes that made Lin Ruan yuck in disgust, while Yue Peng could only shake her head.
"Very." Wei Jun said as he stepped forward and placed his hand on Li Wei's head, "Which is why I think it is time to give you something as a reward."
Li Wei closed her eyes as she had a feeling of what Wei Jun was about to do. As expected, soon, a splitting headache assaulted her, but she bit her lips and clenched her fists to bear with it. It was painful, but she was still a master level cultivator. She knew she would be able to bear with it.
And after about a minute, the feeling passed and Li Wei's eyes shone with realization. She couldn't help but be shocked by what had just been crammed into her head.
"Boss, this is--!!!" Li Wei was about to say something when Wei Jun smiled, a smirk that froze the entire room, the devilish smirk he would have when messing with everyone and everything.
[Skill 'Spatial Perturbation' has been granted to party member Li Wei]
[Error]
[Party member Li Wei does not possess mana]
[Substituting the power supply]
[Connecting to the user]
[Each time the skill is used, the party member would use her Qi to establish a connection with the user]
[The user's INT stat would permanently decrease upon skill usage]
[The amount of INT stat decrease would depend on the scale of the distortion caused]
[Distortion above the user's level cannot be caused]
"I don't think I need to tell you what you have to do, right?" Wei Jun asked.
"No, boss. You can be at ease and know that I will do a good job." Li Wei replied and said, "I'll be done by tomorrow."
"Good. Tomorrow is the beginning of everything, after all." Wei Jun said as he returned to his position and looked outside the city. "Tomorrow, this city shall be in ruins, and from those ruins, we'll build one of our own."
~~
Li Wei's Qi moved as she manipulated it to cover the dungeon gate portal. As the swirling spatial power came in contact with Li Wei's hands, the dungeon gate began to tremble but it was only for a while, soon enough, everything went back to normal and Li Wei sighed as she cancelled the skill she was using.
She then looked at Natasha and said, "It's done."
Natasha nodded and cast another illusion spell. This time, her goal wasn't to infiltrate but to move away. As her spell was activated, the light passed the dome she had constructed and cast the image of the other side, making it so that everyone inside the dome were safe.
She wanted to use the blink spell but given it had a short range and more risk to be exposed, this slow and safer option was better.
Just like that, they spent an entire night outside, doing the same thing with the dungeon gates and by morning, Natasha had dark circles beneath her eyes while her skin color was a little pale due to how much she had used her power the entire night.
"You look like a... what's the animal...?" Yue Peng asked Li Wei, who was fresh due to her high physical stats, and replied, "Koala."
"Right," Yue Peng said as she turned to Natasha and said, "A koala."
"Remind me again. Do you have a boyfriend?" Natasha asked with narrowed eyes.
"No...?" Yue Peng wasn't aware why she was asking that question, but she had an ominous feeling.
"Well, when you do, make sure to keep an eye on him all the time," Natasha replied with a smile that Yue Peng didn't like very much.
"Is it done?" Wei Jun asked, interjecting into the drama.
"Yes, boss." Li Wei replied.
[INT stat -2319]
Wei Jun looked at the massive INT stat decrease, but it couldn't be helped. There was a lot to do, and he couldn't always be bound by his limits. It was always better to excel in a certain area than to be focused on everything.
"Then it's time to begin." Wei Jun said as he stood up from his seat and equipped the biker suit. He looked at the entire gang, all nine members and said, "I hope everyone is aware what they need to do, right?"
"Yes!" Everyone replied.
"Good." Wei Jun replied as he left.

"Sir! The biker has been spotted!" Commander Yan was in his office when he heard the news from a subordinate. He was about to get up to leave when...
"Commander Liao is inbound." His subordinate replied, halting Commander Yan in his path. If Commander Liao was inbound, it could only mean that the elder had moved himself. Still, it would be better if there were reinforcements.
But the subordinate wasn't finished relaying everything yet as he said, "Also all the dungeons have been acting strange since this morning."
"Strange how?" Commander Yan asked.
"Hard to say sir. They're all trembling since this morning. Experts can't say anything but I have a very bad feeling about this." The subordinate replied.
"Do you now?" Commander Yan sarcastically asked before he thought for a moment and said, "Begin evacuation. The biker can be dealt with, but the dungeons are a phenomenon we know can't predict."
"Yes, sir." The subordinate replied.
"Is there anything else?" Commander Yan asked just in case, and the subordinate replied, "We've requested help from nearby forces, but we only have the Ruan family available at the moment. What should we do given the current circumstances?"
"I doubt they would be happy to help us but ask anyway. I can only hope my foolish daughter can remember her duties." Commander Yan said.
Yan Rong had left the home when she came to know of the plans of the CSF and the military once Wei Jun fell into a coma. Commander Yan knew they were in the wrong since they went back on their agreement first but he at least hoped she would still remember her oath and her duties to protect and save people.
"Yes, sir." The subordinate replied and left to carry out his orders. He wouldn't have gone for long before he came back running and said, "Sir! All the dungeons throughout the city are on the verge of breaking!"
"What? Suddenly?" Yan Rong asked. Even if they were trembling, it wasn't long ago he had been informed of it.
"Yes, sir!" The subordinate replied.
"Divert all forces to the dungeons. I will deal with the high ranked ones. Tell all the units to hold out until reinforcements arrive." Commander Yan said and left the office.
"Are reinforcements coming, sir?" The subordinate couldn't help but ask. There was always the risk of nothing coming, so the subordinate couldn't help but be a little scared.
"They are." Commander Yan replied with certainty as he still trusted her daughter to do the right thing, "I'm sure of it."
"Yes, sir." The subordinate could only reply so.
'Please...' Yet deep inside, Commander Yan was fearful himself. He didn't know if he would come out of this alive or not, but he was sure as hell ready to put his life on the line.
