Stuck in a Chinese novel

Chapter 514: DO NOT READ

[What is it?]

As I touched the erratic barrier that was separating the two different realities while also holding them together, I replied to Allison's question.

'Quantum entanglement.' I replied.

[Must have missed that in my science class]

'Funny cause' you never went to a school of any kind.' I replied to her remark.

[…]

Two parts of time and space, two different realities that rammed into each other but couldn't merge. This barrier was holding them together, more like separating them from slamming into each other and destroying everything.

[What does that mean?]

It means that a chunk of a different world broke off from its own, entered a quantum tunnel, and then entered the space between the fragments.

Somehow, this piece managed to enter this space, don't know how, but it did.

[If I had to take a guess]

[It would have something to do with the disruption back there]

I turned to look at the test sight. The sky was already showing signs of giving in to the spatial fissures, opening a sort of gateway for whatever was on the other side to come to this world and enjoy.

[Or destroy everything]

That too.

Anyway, my guess was that the fissure from where 'Zeus' came out wasn't constructed in a day. I mean for that 'Zeus' guy, it wouldn't have even been a minute since he stepped into the fissure, but the fissure needed to be stable on this side so the time on this side moved much slower than on the other side, completing the task of the fissure stabilizing.

So one second on the other side, the time it took for the fissure to open, the fissure on this side could have been in motion for hundreds or maybe thousands of years.

That much time frame was enough to attract something in the deep space of dimensional fissures to take notice of this world and be attracted to here.

Now in usual cases, it was nothing more than some small-time objects such as otherworldly or, named by humans, godly objects but… MyVirtualLibraryEmpire(MVLEMPYR)hoststheoriginal.

[In this case, it was an entire chunk of a destroyed world]

'Of course, that's all a theory for now.'

I couldn't say anything for sure. When dimensional transfer was involved, the process was so rare that there weren't enough times to analyze it properly.

I mean, it wasn't the pass-through fragments as I do, it was straight-up fissure anomalies that were only supposed to occur once a billion years in all the fragments.

No one could have expected that and even I, who researched the element of life, never dabbled in space because although my mind was enough to do so, I didn't have the specialty to do it.

[Don't you have an authority of space?]

'Keyword; space and time.'

Time. The superior branch of space. You can research space if you have 'time', if you don't have 'time', then nothing can be done about it.

I don't have the authority of 'time'.

[Why not?]

[None of the wolves looked into time?]

'How do you know about the wolves?'

[I am a half of your father]

One of the most disturbing sentences I have heard in my entire life.

'Well, there was one but there are records of him dying before I was born.'

[Who?]

'Don't know. Only know his title.'

I once again touched the barrier. Now I could easily take down this barrier even though my authority of space only allowed the inventory, nothing else.

The entanglement of space particles wasn't a hard thing to do. Just like a particle accelerator.

Of course, I wasn't going to produce energy but reduce it from a source so I didn't need something strong like a particle accelerator.

Simple waves would do. After all, I was trying to go through space and create a doorway between both of them.

But something weak like radio waves or microwaves wouldn't do and producing waves like infrared, visible light, or X-rays wouldn't do.

Gamma rays were an option but the preparation was too long not to mention the produced power was too much as well.

[Not to mention harmful]

'And you didn't go to a school.'

That left me with only one choice.

[Ultraviolet waves]

Exactly.

A type of electromagnetic wave that doesn't require a medium to pass through. The best part was that Ultraviolet rays were in abundance because their producer was mainly the sun or the stars in the sky, but mainly the sun.

Anyway, no way I could catch that energy and create enough ultraviolet waves to burn an entire beach out of it.

[You can't try anything artificial or related to mercury]

'And that leaves us with only one option.'

[Electrical Discharge]

Of course, I would need gas for that, but that could be solved with the convenient use of magic.

After all, vapors were also gas.

Metallic poles and everything else were available in the shop. I just didn't have the key product to do my procedure. But thanks to the kind of oxygen, I didn't need a tanker full of mixed gases.

[Fancy terms in simpler terms]

[You're making a welding flame]

Yep.

Welders use this type of method and the best part of that was the production of the catalyst in that process.

That was the reason why welders wear protection like glass. To protect them from the UV waves emitted from the procedure of welding and the emission of gases.

Now basically, what I was doing was just a giant welder. The metal poles were there to help me guide the waves and converge them at one single point.

I can't produce a big one. But I can make a lot of smaller ones. And then converging them to one single point would not just increase the size, but burn the oxygen as well, giving it a massive power that would pass through the space particles and stabilize them just for enough time for me to go in.

[And what about coming out?]

'Good question.'

[You haven't thought of that, have you?]

Nope.

Since the space particles would already be stabilized, a subsequent attempt to do it again would be dangerous. Just like giving two doses of synesthesia to a person in a short time frame could be dangerous.

Only in this case, it wasn't just dangerous to the space, it was dangerous to all of us.

Good thing no one can die in an artifact.

But when an element like space was concerned, there was no taking chances.

Boomm!!!

A loud noise entered my ears.

I turned around and it came from the test site. The fissure in space was now very much visible and was expanding at a very fast rate.

It looked like Zeus was coming sooner than expected.

[I guess whatever you did changes the course of events]

'It stabilized the dimensional barrier and allowed for a passage to open faster.'

Still, there was nothing to worry about.

According to the records, Zeus was an S rank and he didn't gain his full strength until after a couple of days.

Rose was there with her power almost at the SS rank and with lightning assimilation, she was as strong, if not more, as an SS rank.

I was sure they would be fine.

On the other hand, this place was bothering me. The place beyond this barrier.

Fwoo…

I let out a lengthy exhale and entered the barrier that was now smooth unlike its erratic display before.

Erratic behavior was a sign of instability, now that it was stable, it was smooth, just like going through a slimy viscous liquid.

As I appeared on the other side, that was when it hit me.

Why this place was bothering me?

[Welcome home]

'Shut up.'

[I thought you would be happy]

'Is this a joke?'

[No, Gabriel]

[This is the past you have been running from]

[Welcome to Tanaeria]

*********************

"Wake up, you lazy crook." A man in gray-colored clothing threw water on another man in gray-colored clothing.

As the man who was doused with water came to his senses, he saw that there were four people, dressed the same as him, in the cramped space of the jail cell.

As he stood up, wet from the water, he remained quiet and looked down, without doing anything about his assailants.

"Where are you looking, you dirtbag?!" A dark-skinned man in gray attacked the wet man in the face and injured himself.

Himself!

Right.

The skin of the wet young man was tough, so much so that when the dark-skinned man hit him, his own hand got injured in the process.

"Ahh! FU*K!!!" He yelled as he clutched his hand in pain, a lot of pain.

The rest of his friends were confused but before they could do anything about it, "HEY! WHAT'S GOING ON IN HERE?!"

A man loudly yelled. As he did, the others in the cell turned to look at him. He was a man in his early forties, with a blue uniform on his body, he looked like someone who upheld the law.

"Nothing, boss." One of the men replied.

"Get out of here." The man in uniform said and once the uninvited guests had left, he turned to the man who was wet and said, "Jonas, you got a visitor."

"Who?" Jonas asked after a while.

"Don't know who. Some dude in a fancy suit. Says he's your brother." The man said and waited for Jonas to get up.

Jonas looked at him when he heard that and only one word came to his mind, 'Fu*k.'
